Prologue Prologue – Life struggles to emerge from the egg.
One day, I woke up to find everything in the world pitch dark.
Not only that, but my limbs felt stuffy, as if something was blocking them.
Was I kidnapped?
I recalled the movie I had watched and fallen asleep to the night before. The protagonist, shoved into the trunk of a car, probably felt similar to how I felt right now.
But who on earth would kidnap me, and for what reason?
All I had to offer was a slightly sturdier body and youth compared to others.
Youth.
A sturdy body.
As my thoughts reached that point, I suddenly became afraid that I might be used for something like human trafficking.
I remembered an urban legend-like story about a burly man having his organs harvested.
━ Uh, I need to get out of here!
Even as a positive person, I couldn’t help but feel anxious and paranoid in this situation.
No matter what it took, I was determined to escape this predicament.
━ Somebody, help!
My mouth seemed to be covered, and my voice wouldn’t come out properly.
Crack. Snap.
As I thrashed around, I noticed that the hard something encasing me was slowly cracking and breaking apart.
After shaking my body vigorously for a while, I heard a crack as something split open.
At that moment, my arm broke through the thick shell and emerged into the world. Through the cracked shell of my world, I saw a night sky with two moons rising.
━ Where on earth am I!
As I turned pale with distress, a faint set of characters appeared before my eyes.
