[Konomi Eri: Rene! There’s a game tournament coming up, let’s join together!]
[Tuni: If we team up with Rene, 100% chance of winning.]
…What tournament all of a sudden?
Haven’t heard anything about something happening in New World recently.
[Rene: Can you tell me more about it?]
[Konomi Eri: Huh? Didn’t you get the message? I thought for sure you would’ve.]
[Rene: I just woke up and haven’t checked my emails yet. Let me take a look.]
[Konomi Eri: I heard the invites started going out two days ago, and Tuni and I got ours today, so you’ll probably get yours today too.]
[Rene: Okay, I’ll check right away.]
After replying to Eri, I immediately checked my email.
My inbox was filled with the usual stuff, but among them was an email with the word “tournament” that Tuni and Eri mentioned.

Bloody Night 2?
Feels like I’ve heard that name somewhere recently…
[Rene: Are you talking about this Bloody Night 2 General Assembly invitation?]
[Konomi Eri: Yes, yes, yes! That’s the one! You know what Bloody Night is, right?]
[Rene: Sorry, I have no idea.]
[Tuni: BN1 is kinda old, so it’s understandable if you don’t know.]
After my honest answer, Tuni and Eri kindly started explaining what Bloody Night—aka BN—was all about.
A battle royale hero shooter… a genre I’m not familiar with.
Basically, it’s an FPS game with character abilities added, and then they threw in a battle royale system on top.
Anyway, Bloody Night 2, as the name suggests, is a sequel to Bloody Night, and it’s the same battle royale hero shooter genre.
But the difference is that Bloody Night 2 is a VR game that recently launched.
And that’s when it hit me why the name sounded familiar.
It’s the game my followers have been suggesting I try a few times, saying it just came out.
[Rene: But if it’s a recently released game, are they already holding tournaments?]
[Tuni: The main goal is probably promotion. BN1 used to have tournaments like this often, targeting streamers and VTubers.]
[Tuni: From official tournaments to VR Finals in Japan, which are exclusive to VTubers, this General Assembly has been around since BN1.]
[Konomi Eri: One of my goals is to compete in the VR Finals someday!]
Ah, I see.
After hearing their explanation, I clicked the link in the email.
A site filled with details about the BN2 General Assembly popped up.
To sum it up, it’s a tournament where streamers and VTubers participate.
You can pre-register as a team, but solo participation is also allowed. If you go solo, your teammates are randomly assigned.
And the most unique part? Teams from Japan are also participating.
To be precise, it’s a 50-50 split, with Korean and Japanese streamers and VTubers mixed together. That’s the whole concept of the tournament.
[Rene: So there are teams from Japan participating too?]
[Konomi Eri: Yep! It’s been like that since the beginning. That’s why it’s called the General Assembly.]
Honestly, I didn’t feel like participating.
To be exact, it felt more like, “Do I really have to?”
Tournaments mean you have to coordinate with teammates and practice, right?
If I were alone, this email would’ve been in the trash already.
But the fact that Tuni and Eri suggested we join made me feel happy, so I started overthinking.
Them saying this probably means they want the three of us to team up.
“Hmm…”
If we’re going to join, we might as well aim to win.
But I’ve never even played an FPS game before…
Can I really win?
But if they’re suggesting this, Tuni and Eri must be confident, right?
…Wait.
Instead of overthinking, I should just ask them directly.
I’ve learned from streaming that overcomplicating things just messes everything up.
[Rene: I’ve never played an FPS game before, is it okay for me to join the competition?]
[Rene: I feel like I might just be a burden to everyone if I join…]
[Tuni: Gasp, we invited Rene to win, so if that’s the case, it’s a bit…]
[Tuni: Just kidding, it’s fine, let’s go together!]
[Tuni: BN2 hasn’t been out for long, and since it’s a VR game, the gameplay is completely different from BN1, so everyone’s skill level is probably similar.]
[Tuni: Plus, there aren’t any pro gamers among the participants.]
[Konomi Eri: That’s right! The meaning is in participating!]
[Konomi Eri: I’m also playing BN2 for the first time, so it’s all good! Haha]
—
I see.
If that’s the case, maybe I’ll be fine too.
—
[Rene: Then I’ll join too, please take care of me!]
—
And so, I ended up joining the competition. After submitting the application, I got a call from the organizers and heard all sorts of things.
—
First, the competition starts in 6 weeks, on the third Saturday of next month, and the schedule will be announced in 3 weeks on Sunday.
They said we absolutely must not leak the schedule before it’s announced.
—
Other than that, there doesn’t seem to be anything urgent to worry about…
—
So, the most important thing for me right now is my broadcast, which was just unbanned today.
I’ve already done enough chatting thanks to Space, so if possible, I’d like to do a gaming stream.
—
…Well.
As a streamer, I was planning to play New World anyway, so I guess I just need to think about the VTuber side.

1. Thinking about it, isn’t it about time for the General Assembly? BN2 will definitely have one too…

BNGallery: It’s about time, lol.
└ShouldWePlayBN2🔸: These guys are really good at dropping hints to keep us hyped, lol.
—
ㅇㅇ: Who do you think will participate? Will Mei-chan really show up this time?
└ShouldWePlayBN2🔸: She’s said multiple times that she doesn’t like participating in game competitions because there’s too much to think about.
└ㅇㅇ: I know that, but she did participate in the VR Finals and BN1 General Assembly, so maybe BN is different?
└ShouldWePlayBN2🔸: Still, she probably won’t show up. She tried BN2 once and said it wasn’t her style.
└ShouldWePlayBN2🔸: She prefers PC games over others.
└LoveMei-chan: She didn’t even plan to participate in the VR Finals or BN1 General Assembly, but Rinze begged her so much that she did.
└LoveMei-chan: If you want to see Mei-chan, someone from the members will have to beg her again…
└ㅇㅇ: Beg her, Rinze, damn it…
└YogurtIs25: Jjokddak is really stirring up the VTuber rumors, lol.
└ShouldWePlayBN2🔸: Damn it, is this really a VTuber rumor, you jerk?
—
ArcenIsOP: Who do you think will show up?
└ShouldWePlayBN2🔸: Honestly, BN2 is so different from BN1 that it’s hard to say.
└ShouldWePlayBN2🔸: If it’s confirmed to be a General Assembly, they’ll probably invite big companies for promotion purposes, excluding pro gamers.
└ShouldWePlayBN2🔸: Not sure about Japan, though.
└ArcenIsOP: Then it should be easy to guess the list, lol.
└ShouldWePlayBN2🔸: If any big companies suddenly start streaming BN2, it’s definitely them, lol.

【Title: It seems like BN2 General Assembly season, do you think the gallery owner will participate?】
【Author: ㅇㅇ】
If it’s for promoting the new game, big companies would have definitely been contacted, right?
The gallery owner loves New World, so if not them, maybe the junior? Haha;

NoReneNoLife🔹: The junior might have a chance.
└NoReneNoLife🔹: If they suddenly stream BN2, it’s pretty much confirmed, lol.
└Author ㅇㅇ: If that happens, we might get to see them dominate with their beastly skills, lol.
