Chapter 37: Wedding Photo (1)
“So, the so-called wedding photo is a picture that couples take on their wedding day to commemorate that special occasion. Usually, the female partner wears a wedding dress for the shoot, so this commemorative photo is called a wedding photo.”
Yake was giving Aierjisi, the Little Princess, a thorough explanation of what a wedding photo is all about.
“I see! So, it means I just need to wear a wedding dress and take a picture with you, Yake, right?”
After listening to Yake’s explanation, Aierjisi started to get the meaning behind the wedding photo. Truly, there are many aspects of human culture that she still couldn’t grasp.
“So, if you understand the significance of a wedding photo, do you still want to take one?”
Yake asked the Little Princess again. He didn’t want her to take a wedding photo without knowing what it meant. If he did that, his conscience would not let him off the hook.
“Um… then let’s take one! It’s a good chance for me to experience what a wedding photo is.”
Aierjisi was quite interested in this wedding photo culture and decided to try it out herself to see if it should be introduced into the Blood Clan’s culture.
“Are you sure?”
“Of course! What’s the problem?”
“N-No problem at all. If you’re determined to take a wedding photo, then let’s go.”
Considering that taking the wedding photo together would only benefit today’s couple activity, Yake thought it was a good idea.
After finishing their couple parfait, the waiter served them the next item in the couple package. It included, but was not limited to: pork cutlet rice, juice, cake, and similar items. Of course, aside from the juice, those dishes required the couple to feed each other, just like the previous fruit parfait.
Left with no choice, Yake had to engage in a feeding play with Aierjisi, and together, they polished off the entire couple package.
【Why does it feel like we’re taking this acting a bit too far?】
Watching Aierjisi enjoy the delicious food and pastries with a big smile, Yake felt his heart racing. Could it be that he’s developed feelings for this Little Princess? Am I a lolicon now?
“Congratulations to both of you! You’ve successfully completed all the activities in our couple event. Do you wish to proceed with the wedding photo shoot?”
The waiter approached the pair, who had finally finished the feeding play.
“Yes! We want to take the wedding photo!”
Aierjisi had been waiting for this moment and quickly stood up, raising her hand and shouting eagerly.
“And what about the male’s opinion?”
Seeing the female so enthusiastic, the waiter turned to Yake, asking for his thoughts.
“Let’s take one, as long as she’s happy,” Yake replied, gradually giving up on the acting and changing his mindset to:【As long as the Little Princess is happy.】
“Great! Then please follow me.”
The waiter turned around, leading Aierjisi and Yake out of the café and onto another street towards the wedding dress shop.
“Hey, here to take wedding photos, huh?”
The shop manager had been waiting inside. Upon spotting the familiar waiter bringing another couple into the shop, the manager immediately understood what was happening.
“Then, I’ll take my leave here. Please enjoy the final wedding photo shoot.”
The waiter completed his task by bringing them to the wedding dress shop. From here on out, it was up to the shop manager.
“Um…”
The manager assessed Aierjisi and Yake. It was common to see someone like Yake, but finding a girl with a loli figure like Aierjisi wanting to take a wedding photo was quite rare.
“You two sit down for a bit; I’ll go see if I have a suitable size,” the manager said, inviting them to take a seat and heading into the depths of the shop to look for a dress that fits the little girl. Having run a wedding dress shop, he had made dresses for child models before, so finding a roughly fitting one to adjust later would be possible.
“Got it, found one!”
After rummaging through the stock, the manager walked out, eyeing Aierjisi’s figure. It seemed… that dress fit her perfectly.
“New bride, come try on this wedding dress! Habetele, come help the bride put it on!”
The manager called Aierjisi into the fitting room while summoning his assistant for assistance.
“Coming, coming! Oh! This new bride is so cute! By the way, how old are you?”
A pink-haired girl appeared from the back of the shop. Upon seeing the adorable Aierjisi, she hurried over, hugging her and rubbing her cheek.
“I… I’m 11… years old.”
Aierjisi had wanted to say she was 1100 years old, but seeing Yake’s urgent glare, she had to drop the last two zeros and just say 11.
“I see, 11 years old! So cute! Wait a minute… who on earth brings a totally clueless little girl to take wedding photos? Do you know child marriage is illegal?”
Upon hearing Aierjisi was only 11, Habetele instantly morphed into an FBI agent, glaring daggers at Yake.
“Calm down, it’s just a wedding photo. It’s not a real marriage; can you not overreact?”
The manager mercilessly gave her a chop, reminding her to cool it.
“You’re right; I was too rude back there. Sorry, little dude. Now, bride, let’s go!”
Habetele guided Aierjisi into the fitting room to help her into the wedding dress, while Yake was busy trying on suit after suit handed over by the manager.
“Boss, can’t I just wear any suit? Why do I have to try on so many?”
After the fourth suit, Yake complained to the manager. Was it really necessary to try on that many?
“That’s a grave misunderstanding! It seems you still don’t grasp the charm of a suit on the right person. As the manager of a wedding dress shop, I must find the perfect suit for you.”
It didn’t matter to Yake, but for the manager, putting a suit on an ill-fitting person would feel worse than a death sentence.
“Fine, I hope we can finish this before the day ends.”
Resigned, Yake continued to try on suits while, on the other side, Aierjisi was being helped by Habetele as she put on the wedding dress.
“How does it feel? Is anything uncomfortable?”
While helping Aierjisi style her hair, Habetele asked her.
“N-No… It fits well; nothing feels uncomfortable.”
Aierjisi sat at the vanity as Habetele worked on her makeup.
【So this is a wedding dress? It looks pretty good!】
Looking at her reflection in the mirror dressed in the wedding gown, Aierjisi thought that this thing called a【wedding dress】was quite nice. She decided she would suggest introducing it into the Blood Clan culture; it would surely be popular!
