Chapter 50: I Am the Ultimate Life Form
“Chaos Destruction!”
Before Aierjisi and her companions could react, a powerful explosion of energy knocked them all to the ground.
“Ah!”
As they screamed and fell, a man in a blue cloak slowly approached them, finally stopping at a respectful distance.
“Who… who are you?”
Aisi struggled to get up and stared at the man. From that earlier blast of energy, he realized this guy was no ordinary foe—his combat power was definitely on par with his own.
“I am the Ultimate Life Form, a warrior of the Adrian People, Adrian Gilbaris!”
In response to Aisi’s inquiry, the man readily revealed his name.
“Ultimate Life Form, you say?”
Upon learning that he was the one secretly controlling Harker from the shadows, Aierjisi was startled. She had assumed that figures like this would only appear much later in the story, not just now!
“So, this is what Gabriel warned me about. The crisis in this world rests with the Ultimate Life Form, the Adrian People?”
Hearing the introduction, Aisi recognized this was the agent of chaos Gabriel had spoken of—the Adrian People.
“Hmph, following Harker here was the right choice. I just knew that guy wouldn’t be able to complete this task. Seriously, he was gifted our power and still managed to screw things up this badly.”
Glancing at the severed head of Harker at his feet, Gilbaris scoffed and kicked it away.
“What do you want? Why do you target the Blood Clan?”
Now that the mastermind was right in front of her, Aierjisi seized the chance to question him directly.
“Want? That hasn’t changed from the beginning. We, the Adrian People, intend to turn this world into the territory of the Chaos Clan. As for dealing with the Blood Clan, that’s a misunderstanding, Princess. Our primary target has always been just you.”
Gilbaris fixed his stare on Aierjisi, making her feel incredibly uneasy.
“Why? Why go after the Princess?!”
It was Aisi’s turn to ask the question.
“I don’t mind telling you. To summon the god of our Chaos Clan, we need six girls with immense power as offerings. So, we’re searching this world for suitable candidates. Aierjisi, you are one of the chosen sacrifices.”
Gilbaris pointed directly at Aierjisi.
“Don’t joke around! How can you just treat others as sacrifices? What kind of god of Chaos, I refuse to be that sort of offering!”
Aierjisi was furious upon hearing this, feeling like she was being treated like livestock instead of a person.
“We never intended to ask for your opinion. In fact, if you had obediently become our god’s sacrifice 300 years ago, the Blood Clan wouldn’t have been wiped out from this world.”
“What have you done to the Blood Clan?!”
Aierjisi shouted at Gilbaris. He definitely knew what had happened to them!
“Don’t worry, princess. They have received eternal life, living within my body, with me.”
Gilbaris chuckled while caressing his belly. The implication was clear—he had devoured the Blood Clan, delighting in them as delicious food.
“You monster!”
Seeing this, Aierjisi completely lost it. Ignoring her still-recovering body, she charged at Gilbaris.
“Hmph!”
Gilbaris casually reached out with his palm. In the next instant, Aierjisi found herself immobilized in mid-air, stretched out in a “big” shape.
“What is this… I can’t move!”
The little princess struggled desperately, feeling as though invisible shackles were binding her, leaving her floating helplessly.
“The task Harker couldn’t finish will be completed by me. Princess, you will be collected by us, the Adrian People. Don’t worry; we will honor your great sacrifice. Your name will be etched in our hearts, alongside the others. Ah, by the way. I almost forgot.”
Gilbaris recalled something and looked at Yake.
“You must have formed a Contract to share life with that little guy over there, right? Such a hassle; I’ll be taking him too.”
“Run! Yake!”
Seeing Gilbaris preparing to make a move against Yake, Aierjisi screamed for him to escape.
“Ugh… ah…”
Before Yake could react, he was swiftly subdued by Gilbaris. Unlike Aierjisi, Yake felt his body tightly bound, presenting a 1 shape in mid-air.
“As for you, if you don’t interfere with our Chaos Clan, I can let you off. You know what, right? In a fight, you’re no match for me.”
Gilbaris looked at Aisi, and didn’t mention needing to deal with this guy. There was no need for unnecessary combat.
“Not a chance! I can’t let you take the Princess, my proud student!”
Even if he wasn’t a match, Aisi resolved not to let Gilbaris just walk away with Aierjisi.
“Are you planning to oppose me, the Ultimate Life Form?”
“Yup! Even if I’m not your match, I definitely won’t back down.”
Aisi took a stance, preparing to fight Gilbaris.
“Fine, since you want to die so badly, I’ll oblige.”
Gilbaris gathered energy into his hands, unleashing a blue lightning sphere.
“Aisi-sensei, don’t worry about me! Just run! If you die here, the Blood Clan will really disappear!”
Aierjisi shouted, urging Aisi to flee. That energy sphere was no joke; if hit directly, Aisi might vaporize instantly.
“I can’t do that! You’re my proud student; how can I just leave you behind? Plus, Gabriel told me that if the Blood Clan is to revive, you’re our only hope. No matter what, I must protect you!”
“Aisi-sensei…”
Seeing her teacher so determined, Aierjisi was at a loss for words. If only her power were stronger, this wouldn’t be the case.
Calm down, Aierjisi. In this situation, there’s definitely something you can do; you’re not the kind of girl who gives up easily!
