Chapter 4: You Are My Little Bread

Chapter 4: You Are My Little Bread

“As I said before.” Aierjisi unleashed a series of Boxing Massage Therapy moves on Yake, targeting every part of him except his below-the-belt area, aiming to inflict a whopping 1000% pain on him. His screams echoed continuously.

“Ah, Aier, aren’t you being a bit too rough? Why hit my face so hard? You’re ruining this handsome face of mine! What’s in it for you?”

After Aierjisi’s round of Boxing Massage Therapy was over, Yake struggled to rise from the pool of his own blood. Thankfully, thanks to the effects of the contract, Yake had a recovery ability vastly superior to that of an ordinary person. Otherwise, not to mention the injuries, he would have bled out and died from losing too much blood.

“There’s obviously no benefit for me. But there’s nothing bad about it either. And honestly, with a single-celled organism like you, if I don’t show you some colors, there’s no way you’ll change. Also, why are you peeking at me changing clothes? Are you some kind of pervert who gets excited just by looking at little girls’ bodies?”

Aierjisi crossed her arms, glaring at Yake with a look of discontent. This servant was quite something, hard to evaluate; sometimes reliable, sometimes infuriating. She wondered whether sharing a life with him was a win or loss—sigh, why on earth did she sign that contract with him?

“No, I’m not that kind of person who gets excited by looking at little girls’ bodies. I’m the kind who gets excited when looking at your body.”

Yake sat seriously on the ground, looking at Aierjisi and saying such outrageous things with utmost seriousness.

“Dammit! Go to hell!”

“Ah, ah, ah! Don’t hit my face, don’t hit my face!”

“Fine, this time I won’t hit your face; I’ll hit your eggs instead!”

Aierjisi then unleashed a flurry of punches on Yake, pinning him down and giving him a thorough beating once again.

“Why do you feel so much more twisted than before? Were you actually pretending to be someone else at home?”

After teaching Yake a lesson, Aierjisi felt tired and leaned against the wall to rest.

“No, that’s also the real me. I just haven’t reached the level of my mom’s craziness! So you thought I was pretending back then.”

That was true; compared to Reina, who would drug people at the drop of a hat, Yake’s behavior of simply enjoying looking at his own body was quite normal.

“Alright then. Looks like I need to keep an eye on you from now on. And hurry up and change your clothes; yours are stained with blood, and it looks terrible.”

Looking at the jacket Yake was wearing as he left, first soaked by rainwater, and then stained with blood from their earlier scuffle, it did seem quite unpleasant.

“If we’re talking about blood stains, doesn’t your outfit look the same, Aier?”

Yake pointed at Aierjisi’s freshly changed white dress, which also bore stains of the blood that had splattered earlier.

“Fine. Let’s both turn around and change clothes. No peeking at each other!”

“Okay, it’s a deal. I’ll count down, and when I reach zero, we turn around together.”

“Alright, you count.”

“Okay. 3… 2… 1… turn!”

At the instant Yake yelled “turn,” Aierjisi and Yake both turned their backs and pulled out their spare clothes from subspace to change.

Unlike Yake, who was still dripping wet, Aierjisi only needed to change out of her blood-stained dress.

<Hmm, Yake’s body is not bad at all. Much more toned than mine!>

After changing, Aierjisi quickly turned back to observe Yake’s outfit change, though she had already seen his body before.

“Aier, didn’t we agree that no one would peek at each other while changing? Why did you turn around?”

Noticing Aierjisi’s gaze from behind, Yake looked back and found the Little Princess watching him change.

“Who told you to take so long? Plus, you just had a full view of me; I need to take a look at you to make it even! So hurry up and change, okay? Looks like we’ll have to spend the night here in this cave. You have sleeping gear ready, right?”

As Aierjisi stretched her hand to warm herself by the fire, she asked Yake about their sleeping arrangements.

“Of course! Do I look like the kind of person who wouldn’t be prepared?”

“I think you do look quite a bit like that.”

“I’m outraged!”

After hearing the Little Princess’s teasing, Yake lost his balance and fell to the ground.

“Alright, I was just joking about that. Although you indeed can be quite annoying in some ways, I trust you when it comes to handling matters. So hurry up and pull out the sleeping gear.”

Seeing her joke have an effect, Aierjisi chuckled.

“Hey, do you mess with others like this at the Royal Palace too?”

Yake took out two sets of sleeping bags from subspace; although they were a bit worn, they were still usable.

“Of course not. When I was at the palace, I was buried under so many assignments that I couldn’t breathe! I barely had enough sleep, where would I find time to mess with others? Only now that I don’t have any pressing assignments can I behave so freely.”

After receiving the sleeping bag, Aierjisi tossed it aside, walked to the cave entrance, and set up a barrier to ward off any creatures that might intrude. To enter, one would have to break the barrier, and the moment it was broken, Aierjisi would be alerted, waking her from her sleep.

“Alright, this should be fine. Let’s get some sleep early. This damned heavy rain… I wonder when it will stop, sigh.”

Looking at the rain pouring outside, Aierjisi frowned. It would be troublesome if the rain continued for ten days or even half a month; they would be trapped on the mountain.

“Are you not going to eat?”

Yake had just opened a can of meat and was preparing to eat. He noticed the Little Princess seemed disinterested in food and wondered why. After all, she usually had quite the appetite, yet here she was ready to sleep without eating.

“I’m not hungry yet. And who knows how long this rain will last? We have no idea how long our supplies will hold out, so it’s better to conserve food. You eat alone, unless I’m completely out of energy, I won’t touch any food.”

Aierjisi crawled into her sleeping bag, turning her face away and closing her eyes to sleep. In fact, there was another reason she chose to skip meals; for her Blood Clan, the blood of other beings could serve as emergency food to recuperate energy. When she was too hungry to go on, she could just suck Yake’s blood. For her, food was really not a necessity; she could leave it all for Yake.

“Really? That seems like quite a waste.”

Yake was completely unaware that in the eyes of the Little Princess, he was her emergency meal. He finished the can of meat alone, filled his belly, then crawled into his sleeping bag and went to sleep.
