Chapter 484: Stepping on Izay? (Please subscribe!)
The banquet came to an end as Hestia stormed off. The purpose of this gathering was partly to create a reason to act against Hestia. Now that the goal was achieved, it was time for the banquet to conclude.
As Hestia and her companion left Apollo’s Familial Group, the deity on stage, facing the crowd of gods below, began to craft his closing remarks, a smug smile spreading across his face, confident in his victory.
The deities below listened to Apollo’s speech, observing his demeanor, and then each displayed readiness to enjoy the ensuing spectacle. Apollo would not let Hestia’s rejection deter him; he would push things in the direction he desired.
So…
Would the long-absent war games of Orario finally return!?
The deities, eager for entertainment, anticipated this.
All but a few who sided with Hestia departed the banquet hall with expectant looks.
Among those heading home, Loki walked back to Twilight Manor with an expression of irritation and helplessness. Only upon entering the manor did she realize… Raul had vanished without a trace…
Initially, they were three heading out together, yet now only she returned.
Izay likely sought refuge at Artemis’ place to avoid her.
Letting that slide for now, Loki decided not to think about it.
But where had Raul run off to in the chaos!?
“Where’s my carriage driver!?”
Loki was perplexed.
A big carriage driver can’t just disappear into thin air!
Upon returning and being greeted by Riviria and Ais, Loki vaguely mentioned Izay’s whereabouts, indicating no need for concern and suggesting they temporarily ignore him.
After some discussion, the group grew puzzled by Raul’s disappearance.
Their elder brother still reveling in the pleasures of the pleasure district remained unaware of what awaited him after tonight.
The morning after the special divine banquet dawned quietly.
In the tranquil room, the sound of flowing water could be heard.
It wasn’t the gentle trickle of a stream, but rather the crisp splash of water, as if someone were enjoying playing with it.
Outside the window, the sky was still shrouded in pre-dawn mist.
Faint silver light filtered through the soft Venetian blinds, casting overlapping shadows and a coolness within the room, illuminating the silhouette of a goddess bending over.
On the plush bed, Artemis, clad in a semi-transparent nightgown, revealed her smooth, flawless abdomen and a pair of white, unhidden legs.
Her bare feet, like exquisite works of art, bore no imperfections. Delicate skin showed subtle veins beneath, tiny toes curled playfully, splashing water in the wooden basin before her.
The source of the water sounds was Artemis’ gently swaying feet.
Behind her, Izay tenderly combed her moonlight-like hair, carefully untangling knots caused by earlier activities.
Normally, with Artemis’ perfect constitution, she wouldn’t have to worry about such trivial matters as tangled hair or dirty feet.
This was perhaps the price she paid for stepping on Izay earlier, necessitating a cleanup of the marks left on her soles.
She had already bathed once and was now washing her feet again.
Meanwhile, grooming her hair was entirely entrusted to Izay.
Imagine Izay, a Level 6 adventurer nearing Level 7, an ascending deity…
Now begrudgingly learning how to style a woman’s hair, which was quite ironic.
Though, judging by his own enjoyment of the process, he didn’t seem to mind.
It was a way to express intimacy after all.
However, the tranquility of the room couldn’t last.
From the residential area between Northwest Avenue and West Avenue in the northwest district, a loud explosion suddenly echoed.
It was directly in front of their window.
Both Izay and Artemis turned towards the window at the sound.
With a mere thought, Izay used his mental power to pull the chain, revealing the outside view.
A visible plume of black smoke rose into the sky.
Izay’s keen eyesight caught something else.
On rooftops where no one should be, several figures were moving quickly across tiles and chimneys.
Seeing their general appearance, Izay couldn’t help but twitch his eye.
Seriously!
It was early morning, still foggy with the sun not yet risen.
Only a few exceptionally diligent adventurers would be active at this hour.
Most people were probably still tucked away in warm beds, sealed by the mighty blanket demon.
These guys causing a ruckus at this time were definitely disturbing the peace!!
Moreover, in Orario, the city center and hub of divine activity, Guild Headquarters explicitly forbids conflicts among adventurers! Even sparring must occur in designated arenas or training grounds.
Magic use is strictly prohibited.
Because magic is powerful; using it in the city is akin to detonating bombs in a bustling market.
Injuring mortals is already a grave offense, and if any unfortunate deities are involved…
Well, consequences can be compared to those of the notorious Dark Faction members.
Yet, these individuals showed no signs of stopping, shockwaves and explosions continuing, black smoke rising.
Fire magic and arrows rigged with explosives were launched, destroying several buildings.
Even the serene Izay, who had just spent peaceful moments with Artemis, couldn’t stay calm.
You monkeys, tigers and lions of Orario still exist!
Why are you jumping out to claim dominance!?
Win like monkey kings!? Lose like monkey deaths!?
Honestly, Izay was considering making them all meet monkey deaths!
