Chapter 81: Get Up, Colorful Images

Chapter 81: Get Up, Colorful Images

“Young Miss, wake up, it’s time for dinner.”

Arthur kept nudging Weirafiya, gently calling her name.

“Arthur, stop fooling around! I haven’t slept enough yet. Go play by yourself. Let me sleep a little longer.”

Weirafiya clearly was still not ready to wake up and pushed Arthur aside with a light shove.

“Young Miss, you can’t do this anymore. It’s already dinner time; you must get up and prepare for dinner.”

“Stop it! I told you I’m not awake yet! Go play somewhere else!”

Even when Arthur told her it was dinner time, Weirafiya still chose sleep over food.

“Well, I guess I have no choice but to unleash my ultimate trump card.”

Ultimate trump card? Do we really need to use that just to wake her up?

Aierjisi tilted her head, wondering why waking her up needed such drastic measures.

“Young Miss, get up. Colorful images.”

Arthur leaned in close to her ear and whispered those words.

“What! Colorful images? Where? Where?!”

As soon as she heard “colorful images,” Weirafiya bounced out of bed, looking around to find where Arthur was talking about.

“You’ve finally gotten up, Young Miss.”

“Ah… Arthur, did you wake me up for something?”

It was only then that Weirafiya realized she had been tricked by Arthur. But she couldn’t blame him entirely, as she had previously told him that if all else failed and he couldn’t wake her up, just say “colorful images,” and she would get up immediately.

“Yes, Young Miss. It’s already dinner time, and we’re about to go eat.”

“Let’s go together! I’ll introduce you to the monarch of this country.”

Gaia and Weirafiya probably hadn’t met yet, so it was a perfect opportunity for them to get to know each other, as they might have to fight together in the future.

“Okay, let’s go.”

“Wait a moment, Young Miss! Your hair! Give me two minutes, and I’ll help you fix it.”

Seeing Weirafiya’s hair in a tangled mess, Arthur couldn’t allow her to go out like that. He grabbed a comb and swiftly fixed her hair in just two minutes.

“There we go, now you’re good to go.”

“Impressive! You managed to get my hair looking like this in two minutes! Yake, you should learn from him. It takes around ten minutes every time I ask you to do my hair!”

Watching Arthur’s skilled hair-styling technique, Aierjisi even thought about kicking Yake out of the way and hiring Arthur as her servant instead.

“Come on! It’s not my fault! I just don’t have any experience in styling hair. If you want me to do it, I have to take my time! Besides, if I just focus on speed and don’t think about the results, I could get it done in two minutes too!”

Yake sighed. Even though he had gained prowess in hairstyling by helping Xier, doing Weirafiya’s hair still wasn’t an easy task. Getting it right required proper time and care.

“Alright, I am indeed satisfied with how you styled my hair. Let’s go eat dinner.”

There’s a saying that goes, “Slow work yields fine products.” Yake’s ten-minute efforts paid off with spectacular results. But if he could practice a bit to achieve the same effect in less time, that would be even better.

Aierjisi turned and left the room first, followed by Yake and the others as they headed toward the dining hall.

“Do you know the way? This royal palace looks pretty big; I’m lost already!”

Along the way, Weirafiya looked at the style of the corridors, which was making her dizzy as if she were in an endless loop with no end in sight.

“Of course, I know! I’ve lived here for a while, so while I might not know the exact layout of the palace, I know how to get to the dining hall. Just follow me.”

Since she said so, Weirafiya stopped talking and obediently followed behind her.

“This is the room; come in.”

Aierjisi pushed open the door, and Gaia had been waiting for them.

“Good evening! Miss Aierjisi, Mr. Yake. Who are these two?”

Gaia stood up to greet them and then looked at Weirafiya and Arthur.

“Hello, nice to meet you! I’m Weirafiya. This is my servant, Arthur.”

“Hello, nice to meet you, Your Majesty.”

Arthur also bowed according to the etiquette he had learned.

“Hello, nice to meet you; I’m Gaia. Please sit, dinner will be ready shortly.”

Gaia immediately ushered them to sit down. He could clearly feel the intense energy radiating from the girl; without a doubt, she must be the legendary Phoenix mentioned before.

“Alright, let’s sit, Arthur.”

“Wait a moment, Young Miss! Etiquette, etiquette!”

After all, they were in front of a king; they couldn’t appear too rude. Arthur quickly reminded the young lady to mind her manners.

“Etiquette? That’s not what matters right now! We can’t be concerned about those trivial formalities at a time like this!”

Gaia waved his hand, indicating that Arthur shouldn’t worry about the niceties. He could tell the Phoenix was clearly famished, and expecting her to uphold etiquette in such a state was unrealistic.

“Sorry about that, thanks, Your Majesty.”

“There’s no need to thank me. And stop calling me ‘Your Majesty.’ Just call me Gaia.”

“Um… isn’t that a bit inappropriate?”

After all, Gaia was a king, and she was just a traveler who had come here; addressing him by name felt disrespectful.

“Not at all! Didn’t they just call me Gaia too? Sometimes, it’s okay to drop the formalities and be a bit closer.”

Gaia noticed that Arthur clearly came from a noble background, which explained his strict adherence to etiquette. However, such formalities could often create barriers between nobles.

“Okay, then I’ll just call you Gaia. Is that alright?”

“Perfectly fine.”

“Hey, Arthur! How long are you going to keep stalling there? Hurry up and come sit!”

While the two were still talking, Weirafiya found an empty seat and patted the spot beside her for Arthur to sit down.

“Alright, Young Miss, I’m coming! Sorry, I’ll join you now.”

After finishing his greetings with Gaia, Arthur sat beside Weirafiya.
