Chapter 115: The Young Lady Apologizes, Don’t Burn Me!
“Oh, not bad at all. Three handsome guys.”
Mios looked at the three of them, now dressed in suits. Indeed, once dressed up, the aura they exuded was completely different. Except for Yaser—he naturally radiated noble elegance, even without the suit.
“That being said, doesn’t our suits seem a bit lackluster? They all look pretty similar, with just a few minor details differing.”
Yake glanced between his suit and the other two. Honestly, if you didn’t really examine them, you’d barely spot the differences.
“Oh come on, Yake, there’s a saying: the devil is in the details! Often, it’s those little things you usually overlook that can be the key to victory.”
Mios smiled as he explained why their suits looked almost identical. Although it was nothing but nonsense.
But what could he do? Would he really say, “I’m sorry, I’m just good at making girls’ clothing; the boys’ suits were just a casual effort”? That’s something only an emotionally inept person would say.
“Well, that does sound quite reasonable. Alright then, as long as it’s comfortable to wear, that’s what matters.”
Yake moved his body a bit; this suit was different from the one he’d just purchased. It didn’t feel constricting at all—in fact, it was quite comfortable.
“Hmm… can’t this tie at the collar be loosened? It feels a bit tight.”
Carl was tugging at the tie around his neck, perhaps it was just tied too tightly, making him feel a bit breathless.
“Mr. Carl, let me adjust it for you.”
Yaser reached out to help Carl with the tie, making him feel significantly more at ease.
“Thanks, young man. What’s your name? I’ll be sure to take good care of you from now on.”
This seemed to be Carl’s first encounter with Yaser; he still didn’t know his name.
“My name is Yaser. It’s just a small favor; no need for you to go out of your way to take care of me.”
“Hey, that won’t do! I’m all about repaying kindness, Mr. Carl! I’ll remember this favor and return it someday.”
Carl was stubbornly obsessed with the idea of repaying debts, as he had always been. Aierjisi wasn’t quite sure what to say; should she remind him that he was no longer in his former era?
Suddenly, Carl turned his gaze to Aierjisi, making her shiver involuntarily.
“What’s with that look? Father King, looking at me like that suddenly is frightening.”
Aierjisi hugged herself; just his gaze made her feel her temperature drop rapidly. Could it be some magic? Just like Weirafiya could burn clothing with a mere glare.
“Nothing much. Just looking at my lovely daughter in such beautiful clothes. It makes me a bit sad as a father.”
“Huh? Why feel sad? Isn’t it a wonderful thing to see a lovely daughter in beautiful clothes? Why sadness?”
“Because when my lovely daughter wears beautiful clothes, it usually means she might soon get married!”
“Pfft!”
Aierjisi seemed to understand something. Is every father thinking this way when marrying off their daughters? If that’s the case, wouldn’t Carl’s mindset impede her relationship with Yake?
But in that regard, it shouldn’t be a problem. As long as Carl hadn’t discovered she was just a fake, things weren’t too critical.
“Alright everyone, are you all ready? If you are, let’s head out together. It’s time to prepare for the Celebration Feast in the hall.”
“Yep, ready! Let’s go! Yake, carry me!”
Aierjisi reached out to Yake, wanting him to carry her as usual. With a dress like this, walking on her own would be simply ridiculous.
“I’ll do it! As a father, it’s been a while since I’ve carried my lovely daughter.”
Before Aierjisi could respond, Carl had already picked her up and was moving toward the hall.
“Oh boy, Yake, looks like your future might be rough. With such a tough father-in-law, watch out—he might target you in the future!”
Yaser chuckled, patting Yake on the shoulder. He hoped Yake could pass the trial laid out by his father-in-law and successfully marry the Little Princess to reach the pinnacle of life.
“Stop messing around. I’m seriously about to panic. By the way, doesn’t your young lady need you to carry her?”
“I don’t, really. Even in this state, I can fly! Or rather, float.”
Weirafiya exerted a bit of strength, extending a pair of fiery wings from her back. With those wings, she could move around the Royal Palace without using her feet.
“See? My young lady is quite capable.”
“Wow, if you have such a convenient skill, why not whip it out earlier? Speaking of which, it seems our Little Princess also has a similar magic.”
Yake recalled that Aierjisi had a magic called Black Magic Whirlwind, which created a small whirlwind beneath her feet to carry her around.
Speaking of, why didn’t she use it just now?
“That’s why I said, Yake, you really need to work on your emotional intelligence. Sometimes, when a woman wants you to carry her, she doesn’t really want to be carried; she just wants to be pampered. Just like my young lady, sometimes she wants me to carry or hold her to move around—that’s her way of being cute and seeking affection. Oh, why does my butt feel so hot?”
Yaser felt his rear end, only to retract his hand in a hurry; indeed, a fire had scorched the seat of his pants.
“Seems like you said something you shouldn’t have, Yaser. If you kneel and apologize right now, I could put out your flames. Or do you want to feel what it’s like to have your skin consumed by fire?”
Weirafiya, cloaked in dark energy, smiled as she said that.
[That totally means she acknowledges it.]
Though no one voiced this aloud, Weirafiya’s behavior led them all to agree that she absolutely acknowledged what Yaser had just said.
“I’m so sorry! I shouldn’t have said that, young lady! Please put out the fire on my backside; if my suit gets burned, I’ll be in real trouble!”
After all, this suit was custom-made for him by Mios. If it got burned, it would be a huge letdown.
“Hmph, at least you know what’s good for you.”
Weirafiya snapped her fingers, extinguishing the flames that had scorched Yaser’s suit.
Luckily, she had merely intended to teach Yaser a lesson; she had only created a little fire on the suit, not actually burned it.
Otherwise, if Yaser had to attend the Celebration Feast in a suit with a hole burned in the backside, that would be a truly comical sight—just imagining it made Yake burst out laughing.
