Chapter 129: Get It Over With

Chapter 129: Get It Over With

“Look at that Ouxs, getting beaten up by his own fiancée like that, what a loser.”

“Hearing you say that, you really think you’re brave, huh?”

“Are you kidding? I’m super brave, okay? There’s no way my wife would beat me like that.”

As I watched Ouxs being tormented by Natasha, laughter erupted around us. But Gaia shot a look at those people, and they obediently shut their mouths.

“Natasha, that’s enough. Ouxs knows he’s wrong now, so stop torturing him.”

Gaia couldn’t bear to watch this farce anymore; after all, this was a celebration feast, not a circus! How could they carry on like this?

“Sorry, Lord Gaia. I got a bit too excited when I ran into my fiancé, which led to my actions.”

“Excited? More like deliberately aggressive…”

After Gaia’s words, Ouxs plopped down on the ground, completely out of it. It looked like Natasha’s torment really took its toll on him.

“You really went a bit overboard there. Mios, could you send someone to take Ouxs out? He needs to rest for a while.”

“Got it, leave it to me.”

Mios hoisted Ouxs onto his shoulder and took him out of the hall.

“Long time no see, Natasha. Are your studies finished now?”

“Of course! I just used what I learned on my fiancé. Those cries from earlier must have shown how satisfied he was with my educational achievements.”

Gaia was at a loss for words. Thankfully, Ailin came in to answer the question.

“I think you could go even harder on him. For a guy who doesn’t even read his fiancée’s letters or reply, he deserves some serious punishment to learn his lesson about leaving his fiancée behind.”

“Just as I thought, Ailin! You think like I do. Come, let’s shake hands in agreement.”

“Sure, let’s shake.”

Ailin and Natasha extended their hands for a handshake. Gaia felt a chill; if these two spent more time together and she picked up that wrestling technique from Natasha, it would be…

“Alright, Ailin, don’t forget, we still have things to do. Sorry, Natasha, but we have to go now. Hope you have fun here.”

With Ailin in hand, Gaia quickly led her away from the dangerous woman.

As for what the two had to do? Actually, it was just to toast the guests in the hall.

“Hey, Lord Gaia and Lady Ailin, come drink with us!”

“Thanks! We hope you enjoy yourselves; we won’t drink too much.”

Holding tiny cups, Gaia and Ailin toasted each guest in the hall one by one.

“How are you holding up, Gaia? Still with it? I see you’re wobbling a bit; if you’re not up to it, we can skip the rest.”

Ailin looked at Gaia, whose legs were shaking. Gaia’s alcohol tolerance was pretty low, and he really shouldn’t have to toast everyone in this state.

“It’s fine! There are only a few tables left, I can do it!”

Gaia glanced at how few tables remained and steeled himself, he could handle it.

“Okay then, I’ll support you. If you really can’t handle it, I’ll take you to your room.”

“Thanks, sorry for the trouble.”

“Hey, it’s no trouble! We’re a couple, after all. Let’s go finish toasting the rest.”

Ailin helped Gaia as they continued to toast the remaining guests.

The tables of Aierjisi and Weirafiya were the last goal.

“Gaia, what happened to you? Are you alright? If your stomach is upset, you should probably run to the bathroom and throw up.”

Arthur looked at Gaia, who was leaning on his wife for support, clearly worried about his health.

“I’m fine; it’s just a little white wine. I can handle it. You all enjoy yourselves, okay?”

“We’re having a great time! Thanks for the treat, we got to eat a lot of things we normally wouldn’t.”

“That’s good. Come on, everyone, raise your glasses! Once we finish this last toast, I really need to rest. Sorry, but I can’t keep up any longer.”

“No worries, your health is most important. Cheers!”

At Gaia’s call, Aierjisi and the others raised their glasses and clinked with Gaia before downing the drinks in one go.

“Ah, that’s refreshing! I’m heading back now; enjoy yourselves. I won’t disturb you any longer.”

After that final sip of white wine, Gaia was basically incapacitated. Ailin helped him leave the hall.

“It seems being a king isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. If it were me, I definitely couldn’t handle going around toasting everyone like Gaia.”

“Well, you don’t have to strictly toast everyone, but you certainly must welcome and thank your guests. This is necessary for a king, and it’s something you’ll have to face eventually.”

Watching Gaia and Ailin’s backs, Aierjisi felt once again that she wasn’t cut out to be a ruler; she simply couldn’t lead the Blood Clan.

But Carl disagreed; he believed Aierjisi, as his daughter and the future queen of the Blood Clan, absolutely needed to learn these things.

“But it feels so troublesome! Can’t I just not learn it?”

“No way. As a princess, you can’t say things like ‘it’s too troublesome, so I don’t want to learn.’ Understand?”

“Sigh, fine, fine, I get it! I won’t say that anymore.”

Seriously, this was precisely what made her feel troubled. Why did she have to do such annoying things? Couldn’t she just find a random place to hide away and happily loaf around?

Meanwhile, Ailin returned with Gaia to his room and gently placed him on the bed.

“Gaia, I’m going to take your clothes off. Wearing clothes while sleeping must feel uncomfortable.”

“Wait a second; there’s something I need to do first.”

“Something? What is it?”

Ailin stopped her actions and looked at Gaia, curious about what he wanted to do.

“Well… since you finally came back, how about we make a baby together?”

“Ah? Tonight? You’re already that eager?”

Upon hearing Gaia’s suggestion of “making a baby,” Ailin felt an undeniable sense of panic. Although she had considered it, she did not expect it to come up so suddenly.

“Are you saying you don’t want to?”

“I never said that! It’s just a bit sudden! Usually, when you want to do that, it’s on an auspicious day, right?”

“If that’s the case, you don’t need to worry. I’ve already picked today because it’s a good day for it. Come on, tonight, let’s get it on!”

Gaia drunkenly tossed his coat onto the floor and pinned Ailin under him.

“Are you sure about this? I’m not mentally ready yet.”

“You don’t need to be mentally ready; just prepare yourself because I’m coming in!”

“Please go easy on me; this is my first time, and it’s definitely going to hurt.”

“Come on, you’re a champ, just endure a little!”
