Chapter 156: Woof!
Qi Hui had no idea how two Jade Pudding Realm cultivators managed to find this place.
In theory, such an out-of-the-way location shouldn’t attract two Jade Pudding Realm cultivators.
Could it be that these two cultivators were shopping around here and just happened to notice the strange phenomena of Baiwa City and then found their way here?
If that was indeed the case, it was really quite unfortunate.
Without hesitation, Qi Hui immediately deactivated the magic array of Lava Heart Cave.
Many cultivators, upon seeing the magic array of Lava Heart Cave being deactivated, first looked stunned before turning their gazes towards Qi Hui.
They didn’t understand what Qi Hui’s intentions were.
Why would he let them leave?
Could this be some sort of trap?
“Go!”
Qi Hui shouted at the disciples of the Black God Sect.
The remaining disciples of the Black God Sect glanced at each other but ultimately did not go against the branch leader’s wishes and left Lava Heart Cave.
As the cultivators from various sects watched all the disciples of the Black God Sect fly out, they naturally couldn’t wait any longer and hurriedly fled out of Lava Heart Cave, fearing that the magic array might close again at any moment.
Facing these fleeing cultivators, Bifang and the Big Black Dog completely ignored them.
What Bifang and the Big Black Dog initially wanted was merely the ownership of the White洼Secret Realm.
However, after arriving at Lava Heart Cave, they discovered additional surprises.
They were intrigued by these half-man, half-beast cultivators and wanted to know how they came about.
As for the life or death of these minor lackeys, what use could it possibly have for themselves?
“Are you really not going to think it over?” The Big Black Dog looked at Ming. “When a person dies, everything is gone. What use is keeping the White洼Secret Realm? Don’t humans have a saying? As long as the green hills remain, one needn’t worry about firewood.”
Ming smiled faintly. “I really don’t intend to hand it over to you.”
“Alright,” The Big Black Dog shrugged his dog paws and asked Qi Hui, “What about you?”
Qi Hui looked at the Big Black Dog and Bifang, smiled faintly, and threw a seal into a recess in the rock wall.
The next moment, the entire Lava Heart Cave shook continuously, with rocks falling from the mountaintop and landing on the magma below, splashing up molten rock waves.
Monsters emerged from the rock walls.
Qi Hui took out an array flag and pointed it at the Big Black Dog and Bifang.
As if receiving orders, these monsters indiscriminately attacked the Big Black Dog and Bifang.
Seizing an opportunity, Ming leaped up, delivering a punch toward the Big Black Dog.
But the Big Black Dog merely glanced at Ming, making Ming feel as though his body was about to be crushed.
The pressure from the Jade Pudding Realm made Ming almost unable to breathe.
Ming’s punch landed on the Big Black Dog’s body.
“No wonder I always felt so familiar with you, little brother. It’s you.” The Big Black Dog grinned and recognized Ming. “Eight years ago, you ruined my plans and caused me a lot of trouble.”
Ming narrowed his eyes, pounding punches like divine drums on the dog’s body.
But the dog remained completely unmoved, and Ming felt as if he were hitting stone against steel.
“Little brother, are you giving me a massage?”
With a flick of its tail, the Big Black Dog slapped Ming, sending him flying like a meteor, crashing heavily into the ground and creating a large crater.
Qi Hui burned his own essence blood, temporarily elevating his realm back to Nascent Soul Stage.
But the difference between Nascent Soul Stage and Jade Pudding Realm wasn’t just about a major realm.
Nascent Soul Stage was the end of the middle five realms, while Jade Pudding Realm was the beginning of the upper five realms.
The gap between the two was equivalent to the difference between the Furnace Building Stage and Cavern Realm, or even greater.
Bifang emitted a cry, dozens of fiery red threads piercing through the monsters, these threads then curved back and pierced through Qi Hui’s body, making him resemble a marionette.
Qi Hui’s eyes turned red, using his essence blood to burn the fiery threads piercing through his body, firing off a Lava Cannon toward Bifang.
Bifang didn’t even bother dodging.
A Fire Escape Technique directly blocked Qi Hui’s strongest attack.
And when the lava dissipated, Qi Hui summoned a fiery tornado, blowing the Big Black Dog several meters away.
Qi Hui tossed a string of keys near Ming.
Ming, who had just struggled to his feet, looked at the keys that had fallen beside him and exchanged a glance with Qi Hui.
“This guy? Wants me to take her with me? What’s going on?”
Ming felt somewhat complicated about Qi Hui.
In theory, someone like him would drag as many people down with him as possible; why would he let Ming take Sheng’s wife away?
But Ming only hesitated for less than half a breath.
Ming used the keys to unlock the chains binding Zhao Qionman’s hands and feet.
“Water Pear Hall.”
Qi Hui, facing away from Ming and Zhao Qionman, threw out these four words before charging forward again, delaying the Big Black Dog and Bifang together with the monsters.
“Hurry, follow me!”
Zhao Qionman tightly gripped Ming’s hand.
Seeing Zhao Qionman’s anxious expression, Ming had a feeling that something very important shouldn’t fall into others’ hands.
“You want to run? You can’t!”
As Bifang’s voice echoed, scorching rings of fire spread through the air.
One by one, the monsters fell from the sky, raining down into the magma like fiery rain.
By the time Ming turned around again, the Big Black Dog was already blocking the exit, with Qi Hui underfoot.
“I’ll give you one last chance. Hand over the White洼Secret Realm, and I’ll let you leave alive.” Bifang looked at Ming. “I don’t have much patience, you know.”
Ming’s eyes tightened, his fingers rubbing against each other.
Firstly, the White洼 Scroll wasn’t in his possession, and he couldn’t remove the mark on the White洼Secret Realm.
Secondly, even if he handed it over, would the other side really let him go?
Would they keep one person around and seek revenge later?
The White洼 Scroll was his final trump card. If the White洼 Scroll were destroyed, he would surely die.
Actually, Ming’s thoughts were entirely correct.
Because the Big Black Dog had already remembered who Ming was.
After the Big Black Dog had fled from Wudu eight years ago in a sorry state, it realized that Ming was likely the Ten Thousand Ancient Spiritual Root the Chancellor intended to use.
It was just that due to certain reasons, the ceremony had been temporarily postponed, and Ming had always been in Wudu, making it difficult to act.
But now, capturing Ming first wasn’t impossible either since the ceremony would start sooner or later anyway.
“Woof!”
Just as Ming was contemplating how to deal with these two beastly creatures, a childish yet fierce voice sounded.
Ming turned his head to see a little girl flying over and biting the Big Black Dog’s neck.
