Chapter 182: Tch, Men
After the Yellow Sand True Lord was slain by Ming, he stayed in Stone Family Village for three days.
Firstly, this palace of Yellow Sand True Lord’s was absolutely filled with stuff.
All sorts of jewels, gold blocks, and even some pill recipes and formation diagrams—basically anything useful or useless had been collected by this Yellow Sand True Lord.
Ming only gathered what he deemed useful. As for the rest, Ming didn’t waste it; he had Yuan Rain move all those things to the White洼Secret Realm.
What if among these “rusted-out scraps” collected by Yellow Sand True Lord there were some “Lost Heavenly Scrolls”?
Secondly, Ming needed to recuperate and restore his strength.
After all, when Ming killed Yellow Sand True Lord, it wasn’t a flawless victory—he sustained quite a bit of damage himself.
No matter what, he had to recover at least seventy to eighty percent of his combat ability before heading out again.
Otherwise, if someone ambushed him, all the hard work he’d done would just end up benefiting others.
During these three days, Ming played with candles with Mo Zhu’er every day.
But no matter what, Mo Zhu’er refused to reveal the method to resolve the Martial True Qi and Spiritual Energy within Ming’s body.
Ming tried bargaining with her.
Mo Zhu’er said that if she were released, she’d spill everything—and if Ming didn’t believe her, she could swear an oath.
However, oaths mean as much as a thousand gold coins to those who keep their promises.
For shameless demonesses like Mo Zhu’er, they weigh less than goose feathers.
Thus, Ming also said he could swear, promising that if Mo Zhu’er revealed any useful information about resolving the True Qi and Spiritual Energy issue, he would let her go.
But the problem was that Mo Zhu’er didn’t trust him either.
So both were stuck in a state of mutual suspicion.
And Ming couldn’t do anything about it.
Ming stated he would give Mo Zhu’er twenty days to think it over.
Once the twenty days were up, if she still refused to speak, he would send her head back to the Black Lotus Sect in the Western Regions.
The reason Ming didn’t kill her immediately and instead gave her twenty days was purely for torment.
If someone died suddenly, there wouldn’t be any pain.
But when someone knows their death date, especially as it draws nearer, that kind of torture is not something ordinary people can endure.
Ming wanted to see if Mo Zhu’er could bear it.
“Big Brother Xu, are you leaving?”
On the day of departure, Luo Xiaoman approached Ming, tugging on his clothes unwillingly.
“Yeah, Big Brother Xu is leaving,” Ming squatted down, gently patting her little head. “Xiaoman, be good and listen to your mother, okay?”
Luo Xiaoman nodded seriously, “I will definitely listen to Mother, but Big Brother Xu, will I see you again?”
“Probably.” Ming smiled, “When Xiaoman grows up healthy and safe, you’ll see Big Brother Xu.”
“Really?” Luo Xiaoman’s eyes lit up.
“Really.” Ming nodded.
“Tch, men, liars.” Mo Zhu’er snorted from the side—it was obvious to anyone that Ming was deliberately deceiving the little girl by saying such things.
Upon hearing Mo Zhu’er’s words, Ming took out a candle from his bosom, causing her face to pale slightly, and she immediately shut up.
“Oh right, practice the books Big Brother Xu gave you slowly. Don’t rush. And don’t let anyone else see them.”
In the past few days, Ming discovered that Luo Xiaoman actually possessed spiritual veins—not exceptionally outstanding, but joining an ordinary sect wouldn’t be a problem.
Therefore, Ming gave her some basic cultivation manuals. How far she would progress depended on her.
“Okay.” Luo Xiaoman nodded, “Big Brother Xu, I understand.”
“Alright.” Ming stood up, bowed to Third Lady Luo, “Madam, we’re leaving. If there’s anything in the future, write to Xu Guo Mansion, find a person named Pengda. Just mention my name, and he should help you.”
“Thank you, benefactor! The kindness of the benefactor, Third Lady has no way to repay.” Third Lady Luo knelt down and bowed deeply.
“Third Lady, please don’t bow so deeply.” Ming quickly helped her up, “Take care, both of you.”
Third Lady Luo and Luo Xiaoman saw Ming off as he left the courtyard, then escorted him out of the village. The village chief and villagers had already gathered at the village entrance to bid farewell.
After leaving Luo Family Village, Ming continued toward the Heavenly Profound Gate.
Yuan Rain said he wanted to explore the outside world and seek opportunities related to the Taotie beast.
“Opportunities for Taotie? Do you have any leads?” Ming asked.
Yuan Rain chuckled, “An old monk once told me that in the southwest, there’s a wasteland called Ashen Valley where an ancient Taotie was buried.”
“Do you know Ashen Valley?” Ming asked the bound Mo Zhu’er.
“I don’t.” Mo Zhu’er replied, fearing Ming wouldn’t believe her, she added, “I know about White Ash Valley in the Western Regions and Ten Thousand Bone Cave in the Qi Kingdom, but I truly don’t know what Ashen Valley is.”
Ming glanced at Mo Zhu’er and didn’t ask further.
“Be careful. I’ll help inquire about Ashen Valley’s location. If you can’t find it, return to the White洼Secret Realm. If I get any news, I’ll write it on a piece of paper and leave it in your temple.” Ming said.
“Thank you, Master.” Yuan Rain looked extremely moved, “Master, please take care. This woman may look extraordinary, but she’s cunning like poison. Once she’s no longer useful, it’s best to eliminate her early to avoid trouble.”
“Hey! Fatso! You can incite him to kill me, but couldn’t you do it behind my back? Can’t you show me a little respect!” Mo Zhu’er complained.
After several days of candle-lighting by Ming, Mo Zhu’er no longer feigned coquettishness; now she spoke her mind freely and cursed whenever necessary.
“Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing.” Ming nodded.
Since the master had spoken, Yuan Rain didn’t say anything more, only bowed deeply before turning around and leaving to seek his own opportunities.
“We should go too. Let me introduce you to a beautiful big sister.” Ming tenderly pinched Shen Shengsheng’s nose.
“Ooh~” Shen Shengsheng happily nodded, holding onto Ming’s big hand.
Ming held Shen Shengsheng’s small hand with one hand and dragged Mo Zhu’er with the other, heading toward the direction of the Heavenly Profound Gate.
Looking at Ming beside her, Mo Zhu’er’s eyes flickered, seemingly conjuring up strange thoughts.
“Mister Xu.” Mo Zhu’er cooed seductively.
“What?” Ming coldly responded.
“This evening…” Mo Zhu’er leaned close to Ming’s ear, her moist breath lightly brushing against his earlobe, “Tonight, allow me to serve Mister Xu, alright?”
