〈 Chapter 681 〉 Part 2, Chapter 4, Episode 08
Having successfully accomplished our mission in Yeosu, we immediately returned to New Seoul. Just before bed, Raon had snuck out of Yuna’s room for a little nighttime fun, and I was now brimming with thoughts of the perfect marine-style outfits for Nuri and Jung Shuri.
– Totally failed!
– You trash, you got your only friend pregnant!
– Anyway, she’s pregnant! lol
“Difficulty increasing doesn’t mean it’s impossible to clear.”
It might be harder, but ultimately, all that matters is getting them into bed—though the path there feels like running barefoot on a hot grill. But step by step, I’m working my way toward winning over Jung Shuri.
Mission 1: B Rank Monster Elimination – Completed.
Our guild successfully removed the hidden monster <Ocean Phantom> from Yeosu. No one questioned us using money to weaken the monster.
– Poor thing, got its final hit stolen.
– Anyone whining about the last-hit steal should have their command stick confiscated for two weeks!
Had we hunted it purely as a guild, doubts would’ve arisen, but thanks to Yu-Sung Guild stealing the final blow, sympathy and mockery were directed at us instead. Most people were more impressed by how much cash our team members threw around to bring the monster down to its last sliver of health.
“The core price was marked up by 30%, but essentially, it’s ours.”
– Ocean Phantom hunting champion!
– Champion!
– Kyooq kyooq!
So, we officially have a successful B Rank Monster elimination under our belt. While other areas, including Gangwon-do, have already cleared double-digit counts of B Rank Monsters, this marks our first official takedown—a jellyfish monster.
“There’s just two things left.”
Mission 2: Capture a C Rank Humanoid Monster.
Mission 3: Defeat an A Rank Special Ability User in combat.
– How are we going to handle the humanoid monsters? They’re completely random.
– We need to head outside New Seoul. With Light Blade guarding the area, there’s no chance of encountering one.
– Shouldn’t we focus on defeating the A Rank first?
– Then the kids’ skills will be exposed. There’s no point if they can’t keep up.
Whichever way we go, anything tougher than a B Rank Monster will be difficult—not easy.
[TeamYunaPanties] : Shouldn’t we just give up? This playthrough seems messed up because of Jung Shuri…
[NurivillageSeafoodSoup] : Are you really okay with watching someone get assaulted?
[ItsAlsoMe] : Haven’t we seen enough bad endings for heroines already…?
Humanoid monsters appear randomly, and to defeat an A Rank user, their identity must be officially revealed. Both options conflict heavily with the ‘no-power-leveling’ rule.
“But if we don’t clear these missions, Jung Shuri won’t join us.”
– X
– Schwee~
– Ah, she was such a good heroine.
Because Yuna interfered with another unclaimed heroine, failing to complete these two missions means losing Jung Shuri forever. Though her survival isn’t directly tied to the normal ending, I can’t just sit idly by knowing what happens to her.
“So, we absolutely save her and kyooq~. Phew phew.”
It’s not about eating her after saving her—it’s about saving her while also eating her. Taking her virginity as part of the deal.
“Let’s restart?”
With the monster mission done, we now move on to the humanoid monster mission. Before starting, I had one thing to do. The world paused again, and I sat across from the trembling Yuna.
<Restarting the game.>
Wheeeeng.
As the world regained its color, I naturally clapped to grab attention.
“First, let’s settle something, Yuna.”
“Hiiik!”
I placed a three-tier strawberry cake in front of her. Towering to Yuna’s eye level, it was enormous. She nervously glanced at me, fidgeting with her fork.
“Yuna, didn’t you want to share cake with me? Let’s eat.”
“Eek, this is torture. I’ll report this to the human rights commission!”
“What? Eating doesn’t always turn into fat. It’ll convert into magic power, so it’s fine.”
“If I enjoy it, does that make it zero calories?”
Raon chuckled at my words but didn’t help Yuna pick up her fork. Nobody helped her because aiding her punishment would result in the same penalty.
“Yuna, what did I say?”
“…Until Shuri joins, no sex unless it’s magic power replenishment day.”
“Exactly. If you feel like doing it on a non-magic power day, finish this cake.”
I placed the towering cake as a test of her resolve—if she wanted casual intimacy, she’d show her determination by eating it all. Even though consuming it would be like eating a calorie bomb, it wouldn’t affect her.
“Divine Body.”
To maintain the ideal physical form for accepting a spirit, her body automatically converts everything consumed into magic power. Thus, Yuna never gains weight no matter how much she eats.
“Eek, if I eat this, my uniform…”
Yuna frantically pulled her hair, distressed. I intentionally didn’t reveal this fact to her, just like she hadn’t told Shuri.
“Boss, if I eat all this, can we really…?”
“Do you believe in yourself?”
“…”
Yuna stuffed a big scoop of cream into her mouth. Watching her take on this forbidden challenge filled everyone else in the office with fear.
“Eek…”
“Yuna, before I leave, here’s some encouragement for you.”
“That’s cruel! Giving poison along with medicine, what does that even mean?”
“If you burn off the calories from the cake, isn’t that fine? Phew phew.”
I subtly nodded towards the king-sized bed repositioned in the office with Sun Gyeoul’s implied permission. Realizing this, Yuna grabbed her fork.
“Big brother, I’ll race you in a marathon tomorrow.”
Crunch.
She glared murderously as she popped a strawberry into her mouth.
* * *
<A Little Later, New Seoul Yu-Sung Hotel Main Branch Dessert Buffet>.
After unleashing the Triple Cake Rush on Yuna, I entered the dessert buffet of Yu-Sung Hotel with two others. In a female-dominated setting, I settled down with twin girls.
“You two worked hard. Eat as much as you want since I’m paying.”
“Eek… Still, we failed…”
“We worked so hard…”
While Yuna, Raon, and Gaon succeeded in hunting the B Rank Monster, Nuri and Ga-eul seemed disappointed at not achieving similar results.
“Boss, you brought us here for a reason, right?”
“To eat strawberry cake, since you recommended it.”
“No way, boss wouldn’t move just for that. There must be a humanoid monster coming here, right?”
“Nuri, you’ve been watching too many movies.”
Behind our table, people who dislike me were discussing cakes they didn’t even want, clearly eavesdropping. Realizing this, Nuri shrunk back.
“Sorry…”
“Why apologize? Humanoid monsters can appear anytime, anywhere.”
“That’s true. One could pop up behind us right now. But can I ask something?”
“Of course.”
Referring to Ga-on disguised as Ga-eul, she asked while dismantling her cake with her fork:
“Are humanoid monsters really going to appear?”
“I genuinely don’t know. If I knew, I’d have been attacked earlier.”
Humanoid monsters truly appear randomly, making them impossible to predict.
“So let’s figure out how to beat the A Rank Hero.”
“Is there a way to beat an A Rank?”
“Of course. There are ways to win 1-on-1.”
Ultimately, we just need to achieve victory against an A Rank.
“Use any means necessary to win against the A Rank.”
We could focus all our magic power on one person to fight a B Rank or hire a temporary A Rank Hunter just to clear the mission. Though there may be consequences later, the mission itself would be considered completed.
“Nuri, can you do it?”
“Really, will that work?”
“Yeah. Just follow my orders.”
All preparations are already made. Since the A Rank battle mission can be cleared whenever we allocate time, I need to focus on capturing the humanoid monster.
“Nuri, is there anyone here who seems ‘off’?”
“Huh?”
“Look carefully.”
I showed Nuri the CCTV data I received. While nibbling on cake, Nuri and Ga-eul observed the footage.
“Everyone looks normal.”
“Right? When watching video, you won’t sense anything unusual. But how does it feel seeing them in person?”
“Got it.”
I previously informed Nuri about her tendency to attract villains, and explained its cause. Thanks to this, she happily accepted her nature and proudly used her ability to instinctively detect evil energy.
“How do the bad guys look to you?”
“…Over there, the woman sitting by the window?”
Nuri half-closed her eyes and pointed. The woman hesitated briefly before standing up with her bowl to fetch more dessert.
“Hey, I didn’t mean to!”
“I know. She reacted because she felt guilty.”
Kim Nori’s villain radar was spot on. Now it’s time to seek help from a former villain turned current part-timer.
“She’s heading to the women’s restroom. Can you two check it out quickly?”
“Isn’t that dangerous?”
“It’s fine. Security is nearby.”
There are also association personnel at the table right behind Nuri and Ga-eul. Quietly holding hands, they slipped away toward the restroom.
“Sure enough, you two are pretty close.”
Swoosh.
A green breeze swirled around my table, visible only to me. Creating a wind barrier around myself and the table unseen by others, I spoke.
“Here.”
“Nyaang!”
In cat form, Kim Penril buried her face in a mint chocolate cake. Since employees would definitely scold a cat eating at the table, Penril had to sneakily devour the mint chocolate cake like a thief.
“Eww, it’s no good nya…”
“It’s typical of Yu-Sung. This place isn’t well-managed by Yuha.”
“This is terrible. You should eat it, process it, and refine it for me nya.”
“I’d rather try President Huan’s cake if I’m going to eat it.”
Penril abandoned the mint chocolate cake mid-meal. After scanning her surroundings, she briefly transformed into her human form. Dressed in a boyish mariner outfit, her legs were adorned with mint-white striped stockings.
“So, why did you call me separately nya?”
“I have a favor to ask.”
“Surprisingly asking for favors? We’re ‘colleagues,’ so feel free to ask anything nya. Give me a moment alone within this invisible barrier?”
“It’s fine now. This is New Seoul, so there aren’t completely unseen eyes.”
Even Penril’s barriers can be seen by certain people. Using magical gear, I analyzed the surroundings through holograms projected in all directions.
“Can you see them? The ones still at the tables after Nuri and Ga-eul left.”
At one table, two punk youths with dyed yellow hair and piercings chatted while drinking coffee.
At another, middle-aged men in suits with partially bald heads ate cake tiredly.
At yet another, a giant man built like a bodybuilder sipped tea.
“All villains. And potential future humanoid monsters.”
“Oh ho. Not the kind I’m thinking of, right?”
“Exactly, which is why I’m asking as a ‘favor.'”
I needed to ask Kim Penril, Dark Legion officer <Penril of Gale>, for a favor.
“Turn one of them into a humanoid monster. C Rank.”
If there’s no performance, create it.
