<Chapter 1290> 1290. The Plum Swordswoman Reincarnated into the Count’s Family
Ziiing.
Mana engulfs the walls of the Prucos Manor bedroom. The space ripples, and a circular portal appears. Beyond the portal lies my bedroom in the Tebra territory.
Warp Gate.
The Warp Gate installed by Yuria has finally succeeded.
Even though Yuria was involved, it took quite a while to set up the Warp Gate. Unlike teleportation, the Warp Gate magic was an ancient spell lost long ago.
“The Warp Gate is closer to a magical artifact than actual magic. If you insert mana stones here and channel mana, it will activate.”
Yuria confidently stepped through the Warp Gate. In my bedroom within the Tebra territory, she spoke to me.
“Can this Warp Gate be installed in other worlds? It would be amazing if we could set it up in reality.”
“It’s difficult.”
Yuria answered without hesitation.
“The mana wavelengths and laws differ between worlds. The Warp Gate needs to be modified according to each world’s rules. Even if we modify it… there are too many variables, so the chances of failure are high.”
“But you managed to create this Warp Gate, didn’t you? Isn’t it possible?”
“This Warp Gate wasn’t created by me. I merely reconstructed some information from an ancient magic book in my own way. This Warp Gate is based on the rules of *this* world.”
“I don’t fully understand, but it seems hard to apply the Warp Gate to other worlds. Well, can’t be helped.”
I’m not overly disappointed since I have superior portable spatial scrolls compared to the Warp Gate anyway.
“Yujin, aren’t you coming over here?”
As I stood still, Yuria tilted her head and asked. I smirked and replied,
“Hmm… I don’t feel like crossing over suddenly. Unless there’s something interesting over there…”
“Really…”
Yuria caught on quickly. She immediately realized what I wanted and gave a resigned smile. Just as her hands reached for her dress, the door to my Tebra bedroom swung open, revealing Melissa, the maid with long, dark blue hair.
“I sensed a mana fluctuation and came to check… So, you’ve finally completed the Warp Gate?”
Melissa sighed upon seeing Yuria trying to undress and me standing on the other side of the portal, ready to pounce.
“This isn’t the time for such antics.”
“…Haha. It happens all the time, right?”
With an awkward expression, I crossed the Warp Gate.
Yuria and I followed Melissa to the annex. Currently, the guest who visited me three days ago is staying there.
Without knocking, Melissa barged into the annex. A woman sitting on the sofa eating fancy chocolate jumped up upon seeing me. Her red hair, tied in two braids, swayed.
“You’re late! I’ve been waiting here for three days! Why did you take so long?!”
Her fiery red eyes glared at me, blazing with anger.
I chuckled upon seeing her.
She has a cute face, but she’s short—barely reaching 150cm—and her chest size is… let’s say AA-cup. Practically nonexistent.
Sharne Gurci.
One of the heroines from the original story.
We had met before at the academy.
She stands around 150cm tall, but she looks even shorter. Despite her small stature, she’s older than me—Sharne is the same age as Kyle.
Sharne wore a black skirt and white blouse. A black robe lay crumpled in one corner of the room, resembling the Goldway Academy uniform.
It’s been years since we last met, yet nothing about her has changed.
“…So your skills have changed, huh? Did you reach the level of an Arch Mage?”
Her growth is excessively rapid. But I mustn’t forget that her master, Priscilla, is a dragon. Being the disciple of a dragon, having great power is only natural.
As I sat on the chair Melissa brought, I faced Sharneil. Upon confirming Yuria, Sharneil sat down in the chair with an expression of dissatisfaction.
“Sharneil Gurci. Explain the situation.”
“…It’s a long story. Where’s Kyle?”
“Kyle went west. They’re quite short-handed there.”
He’s probably swinging his one remaining arm like crazy on the battlefield right now. Sharneil strongly clicked her tongue while crossing her legs. She was so tiny it was almost comical.
“The only person we can trust is Kyle… why did Master send me to you and this maid…”
“Watch your tone, Sharneil. I’m Lord Frukus. And Yuria is my fiancée, who will become my wife.”
Melissa brought another chair and placed it beside me. Yuria calmly sat down. Melissa has acknowledged Yuria as the mistress of the house.
Sharneil didn’t back down.
“I’m an Arch Mage.”
Arch Mages receive treatment above that of a viscount. Especially now, during the war sweeping across the continent, they could even secure a marquisate.
“So this ends with just a warning. Now explain what happened.”
“…Will you help?”
“Did you come here for help? I thought you were demanding something with that overconfident attitude.”
Sharneil scowled. She looked like she was about to shout but then seemed to realize the situation and tightly shut her mouth. The veins popping out of her temples were hilarious.
“I followed Master after graduation.”
“Priscilla, right? Is she doing well?”
Thinking of Priscilla made my mouth water. Memories of her dragon body resurfaced, making my manhood stir.
“…Master was sealed. I came to you because it was her last wish—to ask for your and Yuria’s help.”
“Priscilla was sealed?”
I thought it was nonsense until I saw the serious look on Sharneil’s face—it wasn’t a joke.
“Explain from the beginning.”
“…After graduating, I traveled around the continent with Master. Her goal was to find and destroy Demon Stones.”
Demon Stones.
Otherwise known as Demon Gates, these stones possess the power to summon demons and the hands of evil from the Demon Realm.
I listened intently to Sharneil. It seems Priscilla destroyed a total of six Demon Stones and has been battling the demonic organization, Pantaeum, for a long time.
“Was Priscilla defeated by Pantaeum?”
It was hard to believe.
Priscilla isn’t just any dragon. She’s an Ancient Dragon—an Elder Dragon. One of the strongest beings in existence.
“It wasn’t just Pantaeum that attacked Master and me. That damn Leotheo Craysoth—the Red Dragon—teamed up with demons to ambush her! I managed to escape thanks to Master’s help at the last moment… but Master…”
Sharneil teared up. As I watched her, a question crossed my mind.
“You said Priscilla was sealed, right? Why seal her instead of killing her?”
“Sacrifice…”
Yuria spoke before Sharneil.
“One method to summon demons involves a sacrifice ritual. They likely intend to offer Priscilla alive as a sacrifice to summon the Demon King.”
“…You seem to know a bit about demons. We need to rescue Master before they complete the ritual. Understand? If the Demon King is summoned, the mortal realm is doomed. Humanity will fall into slavery and suffering. So we must save Master as soon as possible!”
“No. We have time. This isn’t just summoning an ordinary demon—it’s the Demon King. Time, place, sacrifices, rituals—all conditions must align. Based on what I’ve seen, we have at least half a year.”
Yuria’s cold response seemed to irritate Sharneil, who couldn’t hold herself back and abruptly stood up from her chair.
“What do you know?!”
“I’ve studied demons extensively since long ago. I’ve had plenty of opportunities. When it comes to demons, I know more than you.”
“This…!”
Sharneil summoned mana. Her twin tails floated upward. The air grew scorching hot instantly.
The difficulty in breathing made me frown, but Yuria simply waved her right hand. Sharneil’s magic disappeared, and the air returned to normal.
Sharneil trembled in shock.
“H-How did you nullify my magic like that?!”
“It was a dangerous-looking magic, so I dispelled it. Trying to use such powerful magic indoors—you’ve lost your mind!”
“I wasn’t planning to activate the magic! I just wanted to look dangerous! Wait, what you’re talking about… only Master could pull off that technique! Who exactly are you?!”
“My name is Yuria Grace. I am Eugene’s fiancée… and a maid.”
Yuria smiles at me. I smile back and kiss her cheek, causing her face to turn slightly red.
“Ugh, this is so annoying!!”
Sharne belts out a loud shout.
“Hmph. I’m annoyed too.”
Melissa chimes in from beside me.
Anyway, the situation has been explained. Priscilla is sealed somewhere within the Cobalt Kingdom.
“…I think she’s in the capital of the Cobalt Kingdom… likely at the royal palace where Master is.”
“Reason?”
“Leosio Chrysoberyl is the first king of the Cobalt Kingdom, Gallissus Cobalt. Master told me that Leosio personally founded the Cobalt Kingdom and has been secretly ruling it ever since.”
“I see.”
I nod my head.
“But why do you think I’d help you? I’ve merely given an explanation.”
Sharne’s eyes wildly shake.
“You won’t help…? Master asked for you and Yuria’s assistance…! Fine! Yuria! Help me! If we combine our powers—since you defeated me instantly—we can save Master without needing anyone else’s help!”
“I refuse. I only follow Eugene’s orders.”
Yuria clings to my right arm. I smirk as I look at Sharne. Her face turns as red as if it’s about to explode.
She glares at me before dropping to her knees.
“S-save the world! Help me! If Master dies and the Demon King is summoned, it’ll be the end for all of us! I’m not doing this just for myself! Master will reward you materially! She’s a dragon who’s lived a long time and amassed quite a fortune!”
“The way you’re asking is completely messed up.”
Sharne grits her teeth.
“…If not you two, I’ll ask someone else. Kyle… Kyle would surely accept my plea.”
“Heh. Your info is outdated. Kyle’s just a one-armed idiot. Do you really think that cripple can save Priscilla? Even a passing dog would laugh at that idea. Hehehe.”
“Huh… K-Kyle being a cripple…? T-that’s absurd!”
“Would I lie to you about something so trivial? And didn’t Priscilla ask specifically for my help and Yuria’s? Are you ignoring Master’s words?”
“Grrr…”
Sharne bows her head deeply.
Priscilla probably wanted Yuria’s power rather than mine. But Yuria belongs to me, so anyone who wants her strength must have my permission.
I stroke Yuria’s hair and gesture with my chin toward Melissa. She shakes her head and approaches Sharne, whispering something into her ear.
Upon hearing Melissa’s whisper, Sharne flares up.
“T-to do THAT?! Are you insane, Melissa?!”
“That’s how you get Lord’s help. If you don’t want to do it, fine. You can leave the mansion right now. Just remember, Sharne, the one who’ll regret this is you.”
“Grrrr…”
Sharne clenches her fists in frustration. I continue stroking Yuria’s hair as I wait for Sharne’s decision.
Truthfully, even if Sharne storms out, it wouldn’t matter. I’ll save Priscilla anyway.
Whether it’s the Demon King or whatever else, Priscilla is a woman I’ve marked as mine. I can’t let her die.
Sharne seems to have made up her mind.
She strips off all her clothes, neatly folding them and placing them on the floor. Naked, she slowly bows her head at my feet.
It’s a somewhat clumsy full prostration.
Her chest is disappointingly flat, as expected. Her pubic area is a pristine natural white landscape without a single hair. Contrasting with her chest, her hips are quite developed. Her skin is flawless, without a single scar.
I place my foot atop Sharne’s fiery red scalp.
“Heh. That’s right. Beg like that. Now I’m starting to consider helping you.”
Sharne is a useless woman.
She has a pretty face, but she’s not my type. Still, she’s too good to give away to others.
‘Hmm, maybe I should enhance her bust. This girl’s facial and body proportions aren’t bad… if her chest were bigger, she might be decent.’
Fortunately, I happen to have the perfect item for this.
