<Chapter 1364> 1364. God’s Atlantis
For half an hour, I tortured Robert with dance-like movements.
Not only did I use electric shocks, but I also pulled out his fingernails, tore his lips, and ripped the skin off his thighs with a knife. I even gouged out his right eye and forced him to eat it.
“Guh… Guh… Please forgive me… I was wrong… Kill me…”
I grabbed Robert’s left ear with my hand and tore it off while asking,
“Why did you do it?”
“Na… Na Entertainment’s Director David contacted us about purchasing Poetics’ footage at a high price…”
“So you installed hidden cameras?”
“Yes, yes. I needed the money. I’m sorry. Please give me one chance. I’ll turn myself in.”
After talking a bit, he seemed to regain some hope, switching from begging for death to pleading for life.
Zzzt! Zzzt!
As thanks, I sent a current through him.
I paused to think.
Na Entertainment.
Along with Lilith Entertainment, it’s one of the top entertainment agencies in sectors 6 and 700. It used to be a mid-sized agency but is now considered better than Lilith Entertainment.
“Did they ask this guy to leak the hidden camera footage? Or were they planning to use it as leverage for blackmail?”
Either way, it pissed me off.
Pow!
I kicked Robert. He wobbled and fell onto the bathroom floor, which was soaked in blood—his blood.
“Director Jackson, what do you know about Na Entertainment’s Director David?”
I asked Jackson, who was cowering in the corner, trembling.
“Ahh, I know. Actually, Director David… gave me money yesterday.”
“What? Why would he give you money?”
“T-to…委托 me to shoot Poetics’ music video carelessly.”
“Shit. That bastard’s up to his old tricks again?”
“Director David usually handles these kinds of jobs. I’m made to do all the dirty work at the agency. That’s why there are rumors about him, but his lobbying skills are undeniable.”
“Ugh, so annoying. Should I just go kill everyone at Na Entertainment? Hey, Jackson, are you gonna make that music video half-assed?”
“N-no! Absolutely not! I’ll put all my effort into making Poetics’ music video! And I’ll return all the money I received from Director David to Producer PD!”
“I don’t care about that measly amount. Just make sure our kids’ MV turns out well. If it comes out like garbage? Well…”
I pointed to Robert lying on the ground. Jackson wet his pants when he saw Robert’s horrifying state.
“I-I will definitely create a masterpiece!”
“I trust you, Director Jackson.”
I pulled out a knife from my pocket. Time to finish this. With one hand, I tightly grabbed Robert’s neck and swung the reversed knife mercilessly.
Thud! Thudthudthud! Thudthudthud!
I repeatedly stabbed Robert’s body with the knife. Even after his breathing stopped, my hand didn’t. Like venting anger, I kept stabbing the corpse.
Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!
“Shit…”
“Hey! You dare install a hidden camera?! You f*cking bastard!!”
Punch! Punch! Punch! Punch! Punch!
I stopped my hands only after swinging the knife about 120 more times. I stood up looking at Robert’s corpse that had turned into a lump of meat. My whole body was sticky with blood.
‘First, I should put the body in my inventory and dispose of it somewhere appropriate.’
The blood-soaked bathroom could be cleaned by just rinsing it with water roughly. If the body isn’t found, Robert will be considered missing, and there won’t be any murder case or anything like that. Of course, Jackson, who is the witness, needs to keep his mouth shut.
“Director Jackson.”
I called out to Jackson. Jackson, who had been trembling in fear with his head bowed, immediately looked up.
“Yes, yes! PD Sung, please instruct me.”
“Music video. Let’s make it well, alright?”
“Yes, yes! Leave it to me! I’ll create the greatest masterpiece even if I have to sacrifice my soul!”
“If you don’t, Robert might start envying you.”
“P-please believe in me!”
“I trust you. Of course, I do. Now, go for the shoot. Oh, clean the bathroom before you go.”
“Me?”
“Am I going to do it? You piece of s**t?”
“Ahhh, no! It’s obviously my job!”
Director Jackson sat in his director’s chair looking ten years older. He looked at his wet clothes. They were stained with blood. No matter how many times he washed them with water, the bloodstains wouldn’t come off. The smell of blood soaked into the clothes was the same.
“Director?”
A brown-haired woman approached him. Rebecca, Robert AD’s replacement.
“You don’t look so good… Are you alright?”
“I’m fine.”
“Ah, that’s good then. By the way, have you seen AD Robert? He hasn’t been around since earlier.”
Robert.
At the mention of that name, Director Jackson involuntarily shuddered.
“What do I know about that guy? Just start shooting.”
Rebecca closed her mouth at Jackson’s nervous reaction. It was insane to provoke Jackson at a time like this. In the worst case, the shooting schedule could fall apart. Rebecca started working without AD Robert.
“Let’s start the shoot! Junior, bring the PoBiz members!”
Producer Sung Yoojin and PoBiz appeared together.
Jackson felt a surge of fear as he watched Sung Yoojin grinning foolishly. His heart raced.
‘After brutally killing someone just now… How can he smile like that? That guy is crazy…! Someone I shouldn’t associate with…!’
Jackson had been harassed by loan sharks due to gambling debts before, but he had never been this scared. Even loan sharks maintained some semblance of decorum when killing people. But Sung Yoojin was different. He was the type who would kill someone just because he was annoyed.
“Director?”
“…Start.”
Energetic music began to play.
The PoBiz members were dressed in outfits resembling tennis uniforms—fresh and bright clothing. Light-colored attire and fluttery skirts. The costumes were nothing short of pure innocence. However, their figures were far from innocent. All of them had large busts and curvy hips. Despite the pure image of their outfits, songs, and dances, there was an odd hint of sensuality. Jackson thought that was PoBiz’s charm.
‘Innocence hiding sexiness… Not bad.’
The debut song “Date” by PoBiz symbolizes the excitement of a first date and youth. Although the song is titled “Date,” no other men appear in the music video.
‘They dance well. With this, PoBiz will definitely become popular right after their debut.’
Jackson sighed in relief. At this level, he could edit it into a satisfying great work that would please Sung Yoojin.
“Cut! The group choreography scene is perfect! PoBiz, please change your outfits and come back!”
Three sets of costumes were prepared. This meant they had to film the group choreography scene three times with different outfits.
Jackson gave PoBiz ten minutes.
However, even after ten minutes had passed, PoBiz didn’t show up on the set. Rebecca glanced at Jackson nervously. Normally, Jackson would unleash a torrent of curses on celebrities at times like this.
“G-Goodness, Director! Should I go and give the Pobitz members a piece of my mind?”
“What?! Why would you scold Pobitz?! Are you crazy?!”
“Huh? W-Well, it seems too late…”
“Stop doing pointless things and just stay still. It’s normal to be late when getting dressed. Why are you so eager?”
“…Yes. I’m sorry.”
Rebecca bowed her head and bit her lip tightly. She had tried to adjust to Jackson’s tendencies but ended up getting scolded for nothing. It felt unfair considering Jackson’s usual behavior.
At that moment, Sung Yoojin approached Jackson with a big yawn, stretching widely. Jackson straightened his back immediately.
“It’s just that our kids haven’t eaten lunch yet… Let them eat before we continue. Is that okay?”
“M-Most certainly! I will wait however long it takes.”
“By the way, did the shots we took earlier turn out well? Can you show me?”
“Yes, yes! Here they are. Pobitz is truly an outstanding girl group. I’ve filmed dozens of music videos, but this is the first time I’ve filmed a girl group as excellent as Pobitz.”
“Kyaa, the footage turned out great!”
Pobitz appeared one hour later. Jackson was about to reflexively yell at them for taking an hour to eat lunch but stopped himself when he saw Sung Yoojin standing nearby. Sung Yoojin cared deeply for Pobitz, and if he said anything unnecessary, it might backfire on him.
“C-Cut! Let’s start shooting!”
The filming continued until the afternoon.
A music video isn’t like stage footage; you can’t just keep showing them dancing. To capture people’s attention, there needs to be a story. And that story, as the title suggests, was a date.
Yuria & Eleina.
Miling & Juseohyun.
They split into pairs and filmed dating scenes in casual outfits.
The key here is capturing each member’s individual personality and charm in the video.
“The story may lack something, but the visuals themselves are art.”
Whether or not it qualifies as art, it has something undeniably captivating. The completed Pobitz music video will surely grab the public’s attention.
Yuria & Eleina’s segment depicted a mature women’s date. It wasn’t suggestive—it showed dining at a high-class restaurant and quietly walking together through a dark park path, creating a sophisticated atmosphere.
On the other hand, Miling & Juseohyun portrayed a lively vibe. It was like friends hanging out. Miling led the atmosphere by holding Juseohyun’s hand, making Juseohyun feel awkward but fitting perfectly with Miling. They casually ate at a convenience store and had fun at a clothing shop.
The filming wrapped up at 10 PM.
Jackson went to the editing room and began editing the footage. He had to edit the video within two days to complete the music video. Time was tight.
“Normally, I would’ve edited this with Robert AD…”
But Robert AD was dead. Since Sung Yoojin had taken the body, Jackson didn’t know what had happened to him.
“…If the music video doesn’t meet his standards… I might end up like Robert. But fortunately, the footage is satisfying, so with my editing skills… it’s possible!”
Brrrrr.
Jackson’s smartphone vibrated. Focused on editing, he frowned and checked it.
It was Manager David.
“Hello.”
-Jackson Director. This is Manager David. Are you in the editing room right now? I’d like to talk to you… I’m heading to your editing room.
“The editing room? Are you insane?”
-This is urgent. I also want to ask about Robert AD, and while we’re at it, about Pobitz too. Actually, I’m almost there already.
Jackson glanced out the window. Three black cars were heading toward his editing room.
‘This guy… does he suspect something and is trying to intimidate me?!’
David was definitely the type who could do that. Jackson thought about calling the police.
‘No. If it’s David, he might have already manipulated the cops.’
After hesitating, Jackson sent a message to Sung Yoojin. He didn’t have the courage to call her directly.
