<Chapter 1427> 1427. The Academy’s Savior
“President, what should we do?”
“W-what do you mean?!”
As she panicked, I calmly met her gaze and continued.
“I’m talking about this classroom. Should we clean it up or something?”
At my question, Rachel’s blue eyes wavered. She cleared her throat, shaking off her embarrassment, and replied in a calmer voice.
“It’s not our job to clean this building. We’re here to inspect its condition. Don’t forget our purpose.”
“Inspection… but with the state of this place, I doubt we can even properly check the old classrooms.”
I pointed at the wall with my finger. An old piece of cloth, presumably used as bedding, was hanging there. Not only was it dirty, but its surface was covered in strange stains. I didn’t even want to get close.
Rachel’s face froze.
“W-what is THAT?!”
“It’s fabric. Looks like they used it as a blanket. Maybe they placed it on top of that desk-turned-bed for some cushioning. Pretty comfy, probably.”
“That… thing that looks like bloodstains…”
“Not ‘like’ bloodstains. That IS blood.”
“…Why is it hanging on the wall?”
“Hmm, maybe they were too lazy to throw it away, or maybe it was used to cover the window. Or hey, maybe it’s their makeshift city wall. Guess we’d have to ask them directly to know for sure.”
Personally, I think they just left it there because it was too much hassle to toss it out. To them, this place might as well be a dumping ground anyway. Aside from being an ideal spot for illicit activities, it has zero advantages.
“Is there any possibility that something’s hidden behind that blanket?”
“We won’t know until we check.”
“Sounds like Schrödinger’s cat… As your president, I hereby order you, Sung Yoojin, to immediately investigate what’s behind that blanket!”
“Wha? No way. I don’t wanna go near whatever’s back there. You check it, President. You need to set an example.”
“Mr. Sung, haven’t you been dodging student council duties long enough? Consider this make-up work.”
I frowned. I really didn’t want to get close. A foul stench of rotting garbage wafted from the blanket, threatening to clog my nose.
“That’s abuse of power! What if something horrifying is back there?!”
“Horrifying… but it’s unlikely to be alive. I don’t sense anything moving.”
“There could be things worse than living creatures.”
“…Worse things?”
“For instance… something related to the owner’s ‘city wall.’ Ugh, just thinking about it makes me sick.”
Rachel wrinkled her brow as if imagining something equally disgusting. She sighed and took a step forward, deciding not to force me into it after all.
“I’ll check it.”
Before she could move, I quickly stepped ahead.
“Huh? Didn’t you just say you weren’t going to?”
“Upon further thought, I’ve been slacking off too much. I’ll suck it up and handle the dirty, hard work.”
My goal is to win Rachel’s favor. If that means enduring filth and inconvenience, so be it.
I boldly approached the dirty blanket. Grabbing its edge with my fingertips, I pulled it down. The blanket fell to the floor.
There was nothing behind it. Well, almost nothing… but the wall had—
There was a giant poster plastered on the wall. A naked man was crouched over like a dog, and atop his lower back sat a naked woman.
The woman leaned forward, flaunting her ample bosom while gripping the man’s rock-hard erection with one hand. Her smug grin radiated such lewdness… I almost forgot myself and reached for my smartphone to search for her info.
“Judging by the professional quality of this, it must be an AV actress photo. Surprising that it’s not officially sold but rather from the illegal side, huh?”
Now I understand why the blanket was covering the wall. This poster is way too well-made. The actress’s allure penetrates even through the photograph. Trying to focus during sex with this picture around would’ve been impossible.
“Hic.”
I turned at the sound of a hiccup.
Rachel stood there blushing furiously as she hiccuped uncontrollably. Our eyes met, causing her to instinctively take a step back.
“It’s n-nothing serious! Right? This is Japan after all. AV actress posters are everywhere!”
“But even in Japan, this seems a bit much…”
“Er, anyway, good job. Let me check that corner over there. That square thing… It’s obviously a mini-fridge.”
Before Rachel could respond, she briskly walked toward the small fridge, likely trying to break the awkward tension.
“Just looking at it, it’s clearly a mini-fridge meant for bento boxes. Since I’m thirsty anyway… If there’s something to drink, I’ll confiscate it. Also, where does the power come from? Is there a generator nearby?”
Click.
She opened the fridge door.
Inside, there were no bento boxes. Instead, it was filled with condoms of various colors, each containing semen.
“Hic…”
There had to be over 50 of them. Thankfully, they were tied up like water balloons. Even though they were refrigerated, half of them probably weren’t in good condition given the quantity.
“Drink?”
“Are you insane?!”
Bang!
Rachel slammed the fridge door shut, beads of cold sweat rolling down her face as she stared nervously at the unchecked areas, fearful of what else might be lurking.
“Why, why keep such things in the fridge?!”
“Maybe it’s a hobby, or something.”
“Collecting their own semen is a hobby?!”
Given the wide array of weirdos in this world, it wasn’t particularly surprising to me.
“That doesn’t seem quite right. From what I see, the person in charge here is the woman. Naturally, the fridge belongs to her too.”
“…So collecting those is the woman’s hobby?”
“Yes. Why would a man collect semen balloons? For a woman, maybe they’re trophies? Perhaps something along those lines.”
“…”
Rachel’s face turned bright red. She pretended to know nothing and quickly inspected the rest of the classroom. Nothing else unusual or strange appeared.
“Phew… I’m exhausted. We need to find the students who used this room and give them a stern warning.”
“Will just a warning suffice? You’re quite lenient.”
“I don’t have the authority to do more than that. Of course, I could ask the teachers to convene a disciplinary committee, but… I’d rather not go that far.”
We checked the other classrooms. Those near the old school entrance were unusually littered, but the rest only needed minor cleaning and repairs.
Her earlier flustered demeanor was nowhere to be seen. Now, she exuded a gentle charisma, showcasing her role as student council president.
“Overall, the condition is good. If we thoroughly clean and repair certain areas, we can use the old school building.”
Our “date” at the old school was nearing its end.
I felt a twinge of regret. After wandering for nearly an hour, not once did any lucky ecchi moments occur. Was it defective?
“Thank you for your hard work, President.”
“Mr. Na, it’s still too early for that greeting.”
“Is there more work?”
“There’s the gym storage next to the old school. We should check that last place. There won’t be anything significant there.”
“Hmm.”
“Why the long face?”
“President saying that makes me feel like there’s definitely something in that gym storage.”
“Tch, really…”
Rachel crossed her arms, looking exasperated. Her already impressive D-cup chest stood out even more. I sneakily glanced at it from the corner of my eye.
“Honestly, while today hasn’t been my luckiest day… the bad luck has ended. There won’t be anything in the gym storage room. We’ll just inhale a bit of old dust and that’ll be that.”
“That doesn’t sound like a great experience either.”
“Enough chit-chat. Let’s get this over with and head back.”
As always, she took the lead as we entered the old school gym storage room, and I followed behind her.
“…”
“…”
Rachel’s confident declaration turned out to be wrong.
In the middle of the gym storage room was something completely absurd—an underground staircase. It was one of those suspicious-looking underground staircases you see in movies.
“… President Rachel?”
“Ah, y-yes.”
“Was there supposed to be an underground staircase in the gym storage room? And doesn’t it look incredibly deep?”
“I reviewed the architectural blueprints before coming here. The old school building doesn’t have any underground space, and neither does the gym storage room. This must mean someone secretly built this staircase inside the storage room.”
Rachel’s expression grew serious. It was understandable—there could be an A-Rank Villain lurking below.
“Are you going down there?”
“Nope. I’m not reckless enough for that. We should report this directly to the principal instead. Alright, let’s turn back.”
BANG!
The storage room door, which had been open, suddenly slammed shut on its own.
“…Mr. Ha?”
“It wasn’t me. No one was near the door. It closed by itself. You saw it too, President Rachel, right?”
“If it wasn’t Mr. Ha’s prank…”
Rachel reached out toward the door but her hand stopped mid-air, blocked by some invisible barrier.
『You have entered the Special Dungeon: Cave of Lustful Temptation.』
『Descend to the lowest level of the Cave of Lustful Temptation.』
Dungeon.
The moment Rachel understood the situation, she pulled out her smartphone.
“We can’t connect to the outside world. Mr. Ha, can you use spirits to alert someone outside about our predicament?”
“Oh, so you’re suggesting using spirit summoning and reverse-summoning. As expected from the president, you quickly came up with a plan.”
“Anyone would think of it in this situation.”
“People usually panic in situations like this. Presidents like you are rare. Fine, I’ll try what you suggested. Summon the spirit… gahk! Cough, cough, blood!”
I staggered, clutching both hands to my body. Suddenly, excruciating pain surged through me. I started coughing up bright red blood, pooling rapidly on the gym storage floor. My eyes began hurting, and my vision turned red—likely because of burst capillaries. Fluid dripped from my nose, my head spun, and my limbs trembled uncontrollably.
‘…I’m gonna die.’
My insides were in chaos. The internal injuries were severe, making it nearly impossible to use mana. If I don’t receive treatment within hours, I’ll really die.
“Mr. Ha! Are you alright?! I’m sorry—I shouldn’t have asked you to do this…”
Rachel rushed to my side. Instead of recklessly supporting me, she gently laid me down, which made me feel slightly better.
‘…This isn’t a side effect of spirit summoning. My body went haywire before I even tried summoning Mocha. It’s not a dungeon curse either; I’d know how to handle that. Unexplained pain and wounds… the fact that I don’t know the cause actually gives me a clue.’
I looked at my wrist—it was trying to kill me.
“Mr. Ha, are you okay?”
“Yes, well… not really.”
I continued speaking despite spitting out blood. My vision blurred, and my right eye went dark. Still, after adjusting a little, I managed to move my arms and legs.
“…We can’t wait around at the dungeon entrance for rescue. I’ll start tackling the dungeon.”
The moment Rachel declared her resolve…
BOOM.
It felt like my brain and heart exploded simultaneously.
[Death Resistance activated. You will not die for the next 15 seconds.]
