Chapter 23: A Deranged Glow
On that day, Lin Xuan started clacking away at his keyboard, writing a novel like there was no tomorrow.
This time around, with his rebirth, he had access to an infinite treasure trove of knowledge from another world’s entertainment industry, all stored neatly in his mind!
He was going to build his own entertainment empire!
First things first, though—he needed cash. He planned to use the money earned from novels as seed funding for his business ventures. Once he made enough to kickstart everything, he’d pull out. After all, royalties alone wouldn’t cut it; the real prize was copyright ownership!
For now, he’d be submitting content that wasn’t easily adaptable into TV dramas or movies—purely for the sake of earning royalties.
The novels that could be adapted and had already been super popular in another world? Those were getting saved up. They would eventually debut on his own platform when the timing was right.
He also intended to establish an entertainment company—handling novels, movie production, star training, the whole shebang.
And not just that! Video websites, gaming, short videos—you name it, he’d conquer it step by step.
Lin Xuan typed furiously for an hour straight in front of his computer. His fingers moved lightning-fast, and the story flowed naturally from his mind without any need for thought. In that hour alone, he churned out eight thousand words!
But man, his hands were killing him.
No way! This was still too slow.
“Smack!” Lin Xuan slapped his forehead. What an idiot! He totally forgot about his space where time flowed at a ratio of 60:1!
Writing novels inside the space would be way better!
After testing it out, he confirmed that anything written in the space would show up instantly on his computer in the real world.
Relieved, Lin Xuan dove headfirst into his space to type away. He soon realized that inside the space, he didn’t feel tired or get sore hands!
In the study, Su Hua only saw Lin Xuan seemingly sleeping face-down on the table as he furiously typed away in the space.
She gently covered him with a blanket.
Her gaze lingered on him for what felt like ages, her expression softening.
This was her man, Su Hua’s man…
Su Hua softly pressed a kiss to Lin Xuan’s lips. “Ah Xuan, please don’t go back to how you were before, okay?”
It had taken so long, but finally, she got to experience his tenderness and care again.
If he ever reverted to being that Lin Xuan who adored Qin Ruoyao and went to great lengths to escape her, she wouldn’t hesitate to lock him up forever.
And anyone he cared about…she’d eliminate them all…
Su Hua left the study.
“Uncle Wang.”
“Miss.” Butler Wang respectfully replied.
“What did Ah Xuan do today?” Su Hua asked, pinching the bridge of her nose.
“Master Lin went to pick up Master Wang Dahé this morning, then they drove around the outskirts for a bit, ate lunch, and did some shopping,” Butler Wang answered.
“Has he gone looking for the Lin family or Qin Ruoyao yet?”
“No, Miss,” Butler Wang shook his head.
“How wonderful.” Su Hua’s eyes darkened ominously.
Ah Xuan was finally playing along properly.
Deep down, she wanted nothing more than to drive everyone he cared about away from him, hoarding all his love and attention for herself.
But she couldn’t…
She was drowning in darkness, while he belonged in the sunlight. He shouldn’t fall into the bottomless abyss with her.
“Oh, Miss, Master Lin encountered Qin Ruoyao today.”
Su Hua’s grip tightened instantly. “What did they say?”
“Master Lin ignored her. I reminded him, but he said Qin Ruoyao has nothing to do with him anymore, Miss. It feels like Master Lin might not care about her anymore.”
Butler Wang hesitated, not daring to make a definitive claim since Lin Xuan could always just be acting.
“Has he changed?” Su Hua murmured softly. “I truly hope he has.”
“But even if he’s faking it, he will always be mine. Dead or alive, he’s mine.” Su Hua’s eyes gleamed with a deranged obsession.
