Shen Qianqian was admitted to the hospital.
Mr. Shen paced anxiously outside the emergency room. As soon as the doctor came out, he rushed forward to ask questions.

He thought Qianqian would be like before, and things would settle down after some fuss.

“Yes, Qianqian likes him.” Mr. Shen nodded.

“But, Chairman, now the Lin family has severed ties with Lin Xuan. Won’t Lin Xuan’s background fall short of Miss’s standards?” The secretary frowned.
“That’s actually better.”
Mr. Shen chuckled, “I only have Qianqian as my daughter. I don’t want her to leave me. Lin Xuan is alone, without parents. I can let him live with us.”

As long as he could control Lin Xuan, he wouldn’t have to worry about Lin Xuan betraying Qianqian.
“You’re indeed brilliant, Chairman.” The secretary laughed.
“That’s enough. You can leave.”
Mr. Shen’s fatigue from the past two days vanished instantly.
He continued sitting by the bedside, watching over Shen Qianqian. Another half-hour passed, and Shen Qianqian woke up.
“Qianqian, you’re awake.” Mr. Shen exclaimed joyfully, “You worried dad to death.”
Shen Qianqian didn’t say anything, just turned over and faced away from Mr. Shen.
Clearly, Shen Qianqian didn’t intend to acknowledge Mr. Shen.
“Qianqian, are you still upset because I opposed your relationship with Lin Xuan?” Mr. Shen sighed.
“Dad, if you continue to oppose me and Lin Xuan, then I will continue to refuse to eat.” Shen Qianqian responded sullenly.
“Qianqian, since you like Lin Xuan so much, I won’t stop you anymore.” Mr. Shen said affectionately.
“Really?” Shen Qianqian turned around, her eyes sparkling as she stared at Mr. Shen.
“Would I lie to you?”
Mr. Shen helplessly rubbed Shen Qianqian’s hair, “You’ve already threatened me with fasting. How could I still oppose you?”
“Thank you, Dad.” Shen Qianqian said excitedly.
“You know how much dad cares for you.” Mr. Shen smiled helplessly.
Mr. Shen looked at Shen Qianqian’s face and was lost in nostalgia.
Qianqian looks so much like her mother.
He failed to protect his wife. For their daughter, he would certainly ensure she wouldn’t be wronged. He would try his best to fulfill her requests.
He wanted to see Qianqian live happily for the rest of her life.
“Qianqian, I will go to the Lin family this afternoon and change your fiancé to Lin Xuan.” Mr. Shen said.
“No.” Shen Qianqian stopped him, “Big Brother Lin Xuan’s relationship with the Lin family is strained now. If we approach them, it might upset Big Brother Lin Xuan.”
Mr. Shen frowned.
