“Driver, did you take the wrong route?” Qin Ruoyao asked suspiciously.
“I didn’t take the wrong route,” the driver replied coldly.
At this point, Qin Ruoyao sensed the sinister tone in the driver’s voice. She remembered news stories about a girl who was taken by a driver to a remote area, raped, and killed. Could this driver be like that too…?

The driver slammed on the brakes.

The taxi driver watched Qin Ruoyao’s retreating figure and chuckled coldly before driving away without lingering any longer.
Back at the original spot, Qin Ruoyao watched the fading headlights of the taxi, frowning.

It seemed like the driver hadn’t intended to do anything to her.
Looking around, Qin Ruoyao regretted getting out of the car. The driver probably just took a wrong turn or went out of the way to earn more money.

After about ten minutes, a car finally approached from afar.
