Chapter 659: The Man of Six Million Ships (2)

And at the same moment.
As they witnessed three major issues, including Icarus, Humanity and Magellan’s command realized that the situation was not going well.

[What should we do now?]

[Armanda is insanely strong.]

[Unlike Typhon’s group, they didn’t recklessly charge straight ahead.]

[Their mobility is faster than the monsters’, making them hard to hit.]

[Those guys are attacking my ship!!!]

[Nest raid members, focus on capturing the super dreadnoughts instead of securing the base.]

[Sir, we can’t leave; the fleet should protect the superhumans, not the other way around.]

[Haha…]

[Why the heck are pirates supporting the monsters?!]

[Logically speaking, it’s absurd for them not to support.]

[Haha, d*mn.]

Especially problematic were the fleets of users dispatched for the “Nest” assault.
With a full-frontal offensive led by the Pirate Empress herself wielding Eclipse and Armanda, even the Super Dreadnoughts were being pushed back under pressure.
Consequently, the superhumans who were supposed to capture the nest found themselves in the bizarre position of protecting the fleet that was supposed to shield them from orbital bombardments.
To resolve this predicament, either the main force of the Humanity-Magellan alliance, which had advanced through the breach caused by the assault team, needed to arrive or, at the very least, the forces split off at “Babel” (the last checkpoint before the Nest) needed to regroup to block the pursuit force.
However, unfortunately for the command, the closest available reserve force…

[Where did all the forces meant to stop the pursuers go? The assault team’s main force will be annihilated.]

[We can’t shake them off since all the Babel defense facilities and the Defense Fleet have been destroyed.]

[Are the defense facilities still not repaired?]

[Of course not! It hasn’t even been a day since we stormed through here.]

Due to the complete lack of means to halt the pursuing forces, the situation left them caught in their own trap.
Though theoretically, Laura of Justice could repel the pursuers and join the assault team’s main force if she so desired.
Unfortunately, as mentioned earlier, with “Babel’s” defenses and power completely obliterated, there was no way to delay the incoming pursuers, leading to an impossible choice: facing both Armanda and the pirate coalition at the front while dealing with Justice’s pursuit force from the rear.
So how about the main force that triumphed over Justice and the monsters in sheer numbers, securing a third of the monster territory?

[The main force controlling the area, secure the bases quickly and head to the frontlines.] (Antares)

[It’s tough right now… Icarus has the mercenaries recklessly charging, and we’re about to get wiped out trying to extract our fleet.] (Donald Chicken)

[What makes the mercenaries so strong?] (Marcel)

[The issue isn’t the mercenaries’ strength but the insane resource support behind Icarus. When one mercenary corps falls, another takes its place immediately.]

[Thus, we simply cannot handle the sheer volume.] (Donald Chicken)

[???] (Antares)

[Then let’s send more people.] (Marcel)

[We’re currently fighting Ironblood and the pirate coalition.] (Indypatible)

[d*mn, we’ve already won, yet we’re getting crushed.] (Menaldu)

Due to the absence of their elite forces and high-ranking officers, they barely managed to suppress the Justice and monster fleets after repeated retreats at the front lines.
Immediately following this, came the “minimum” 1-20 million ships of Ironblood’s pirate fleet reinforcements.
Mercenaries recklessly charged in, and when one unit fell, new ones were hired and deployed via warp gate.
Stronghold defenses that couldn’t be breached by mercenaries were simply smashed by relentless Leviathan deployments.
After countless battles, the exhausted fleets and superhumans of the Humanity-Magellan alliance saw their attrition rates skyrocket alarmingly fast.
And the result:
Breaking News: Humanity-Magellan Alliance on the verge of encirclement
[3D map showing ‘Monster Territory’ current status, white and blue dots representing Humanity and Magellan respectively, surrounded on three sides by the pirate coalition (red), Icarus mercenaries (purple), and the monsters and Justice (black).gif]
Although not fully formed yet,
If the encirclement is completed, over 60% of the allied forces will be trapped.
Comments:

[Encirclement destruction formation ㄷㄷ]

[Is it real that the side with fewer numbers can encircle the larger side?]

[The encircling parties don’t actually have fewer numbers, especially the pirate coalition—no one knows exactly how many ships they brought.]

Title: Why are they getting encircled?
[Image of Humanity-Magellan Alliance being reverse-encircled by the Mon-Jus-Pir-Ica Coalition.jpg]
Simply put, these folks have fought dozens of consecutive battles.
Not only are they away from home base, but their ships’ ammunition—cannons and missiles—are almost depleted.
Additionally, the fatigue levels of the superhumans, captains, and users are through the roof.
On top of that, they’re experiencing a sudden reversal just as victory seemed within reach, causing a significant morale drop.
Comments:

[They must really be frustrated.]

[Initially, the alliance’s goal was merely to subdue Justice, but suddenly they’re fighting monsters.]

[After battling the monsters, now pirates and unlimited mercenaries are popping up—anyone would lose steam.]

[Rest in peace action beam~]

Facing their own exhaustion and the daunting prospect of a three-front war, the Humanity-Magellan alliance command couldn’t help but feel utterly disheartened.
The only silver lining for the alliance was that not all news was bad.
Title: Oh wow, the Xenobia Empire is seriously joining the fight?
[Xenobia Empire announces via communication: “Given the danger posed by the Grand Duke’s forces, we shall intervene in the war!”jpg]
While the event message hasn’t appeared yet,
Despite sending only about a million ships, they are hastily entering the war.
Though their numbers pale compared to others, given that Xenobia has always lagged in terms of quantity among the four major factions, it’s understandable.
Comments:

[A million is genuinely spare capacity for Xenobia. Haha.]

[Even those without spare capacity are needed!!! -by the alliance]

[Magellan Clan really does receive support from Xenobia.]

[They’re famous for it, yeah.]

[Magellan Clan must’ve urgently requested support, deploying even the Obsidian Fleet.]

[Haha, otherwise their Grand Duke fleet would’ve been wiped out.]

In response to the urgent plea from the Magellan Clan amidst the dire situation, the Xenobia Empire appeared ready to fully engage in the war.
