However, the joy at hearing about the Xenobia Empire’s participation in the conflict didn’t last long within Humanity.
The reason being…

It wasn’t just the Obsidian Fleet; the other fleets claiming to represent the empire were also failing to break through the enemy’s encirclement.
Instead, they maintained an infuriatingly relaxed attitude reminiscent of their initial invasion phase.
In contrast to Humanity, whose mood worsened further after receiving a “mirror treatment,” both the Xenobia Empire and the Magellan Clan, who had requested their support, only pretended to be upset on the surface.
No matter what Humanity said, the Xenobia fleet continued to attack lower-level bases.
Of course, the reason why Magellan allowed the Xenobia fleet to take control of border-area strongholds first was…

As Antares, the clan leader of Humanity, had warned earlier, it was clear that the Magellan Clan didn’t have any grand plans for this invasion.
In fact, they seemed content to let Humanity handle everything while they simply picked up the spoils of victory.
Although, as mentioned earlier, Magellan tried to play it smooth and flexible but got caught by Antares, making their “flexible” approach more difficult.
Despite this, they had already conspired among themselves:
“We must preserve the strength of our allied fleets as much as possible if we can’t succeed ourselves!”
Thus, despite Humanity officers’ complaints, the Xenobia fleet remained stuck in the rear, slowly capturing abandoned monster bases one by one.
Given that the Xenobia Empire was never particularly friendly toward users, their lackadaisical approach made it harder for even Magellan to intervene without repercussions.
While Magellan could at least express frustration, the Xenobia Empire dismissed them outright, reacting with disdainful comments like, “You lowly beings dared to question us?”
This left Humanity fuming internally, unable to prove their suspicions.
Anyway, after seeing their supposed final hope, the Xenobia Empire, prioritize its own interests, another crisis unfolded:

Icarus reported that the Leviathan Fleet suddenly broke away from command during an event and rushed toward the nest.
[Chat between Icarus and Newsboy explaining how the Leviathan Fleet was initially restrained by Icarus from rushing directly to Humanity’s main base.]
However, upon learning that Humanity and the Magellan Alliance’s Super Dreadnoughts were trapped inside the nest territory, they resumed their charge.

Why?
Right now, there are 10,000 Super Dreadnoughts battling Armanda near the nest.
Among these, the 1,000 Jörmungandr-class vessels are treated as faction ships rather than user-controlled ones, meaning they cannot use emergency warp functions tied to bases.
What does this mean?
If Leviathan arrives and starts annihilating users en masse, wouldn’t they just retreat?
An enraged Leviathan fleet, along with remnants of the old Earth Federation Temporary Government, would then completely destroy the 1,000 Jörmungandr-class ships.

Seeing their former victims, now turned aggressors, charging back with bloodshot eyes to annihilate them…
Both Humanity and Magellan officers paused momentarily to assess the situation.

Realizing complete victory was now out of reach, they tearfully decided to hastily withdraw their assault teams from the nest and retreat toward the Xenobia Empire.
Even so, some ships couldn’t resist unleashing indiscriminate orbital bombardments onto the devastated monster “nest” as a parting shot.
