Chapter 125: Did I Make a Mistake in the Dungeon Encounter?
“Robert!”
Hearing the scream, Wit Gold rushed over immediately.
He swiftly drew out “Gigant,” and within just a few seconds of summoning, a giant nearly four meters tall landed in the light, its massive body lifting up and blocking the descending battle axe!
Robert behind the Gigant was almost scared out of his wits, his legs trembling and frozen in place.
Wit hurriedly grabbed his arm and ran backward frantically.
“Moo!”
Minotaur, even taller than the Gigant, suddenly sucked in air and roared furiously, his arm muscles bulging as he used all his strength to slash down the battle axe!
“Pfft!”
The Gigant’s mana sprayed out like blood, and the battle axe cut through from its left shoulder, severing its entire left arm!
Neither Wit nor Robert dared to look back; the Gigant’s screams continued, and it clearly couldn’t stand a chance against the minotaur.
In just a moment, Wit felt the “Gigant” card in his hand tremble slightly, and stars converged, reforming the image of the Gigant.
But at this point, the card had dimmed, needing a long time to recover.
Wit knew something was wrong and instinctively clenched the “Forbidden Love” card.
After entering the secret path, he had secretly tried it; the effect of “Forbidden Love” still worked, and the mist figure could respond to his call, even guiding him.
However, he had just suffered because of it and didn’t dare follow the guidance again.
Now facing the terrifying Minotaur, he could only rely on the “Forbidden Love” that had once betrayed him.
This made him feel incredibly helpless.
…
Nine thirty…
Although Dark arrived later, he completed the fresco faster than Emma.
He had long discovered his talent for painting, and with naturally steady hands, he quickly and accurately copied the images.
After finishing, he began to carefully observe the fresco from start to finish.
The fresco depicted a very ancient story, reminiscent of Egyptian art.
The first painting showed ragged poor people mining stones from a mine.
The second painting showed a half-naked blacksmith forging the stones into standard bricks.
The third painting showed a merchant selling brick after brick to a noble.
The fourth painting showed the noble building a tower with bricks on an altar.
The fifth painting showed thousands of humans praying under the altar for the arrival of some being.
The sixth painting showed a glowing beast emerging from a sky-black hole during the ritual.
The seventh painting showed the ferocious and greedy beast roaring and devouring all sacrifices and humans.
The eighth painting showed human blood and corpses forming a bizarre pattern on the ground.
There were eight paintings in total.
Dark put the most effort into the eighth painting, finally copying it with relative precision.
He felt that this painting conveyed something particularly eerie and valuable.
Without confirming whether the fresco would disappear, copying it was the best approach.
“Dak dak!”
Diana, who had been searching for new frescoes, suddenly ran back.
Dark turned his head in confusion.
Diana panted, “Did you hear a bull’s roar? Very fierce?”
Dark was about to say no, but then a bull’s roar came.
“Moo!”
It wasn’t just fierce; it was extremely fierce!
Dark instinctively pulled out the selection card before realizing the sound was far away.
“Was someone summoning a Golem?”
“Surely not a monster born in this secret passage, right?”
Both thoughts flashed by.
Dark immediately put his notebook into his shoulder bag and glanced at Emma, who was still drawing, reminding her, “We need to go!”
Emma quickly glanced at him and continued drawing, but her strokes became much faster.
Dark was about to speak again when he noticed the fresco on the far left beginning to fade. He thought for a moment and said, “We can’t finish it, I’ll lend you my notes later.”
But his words made Emma clench her teeth and focus even more.
“Moo!”
The roar suddenly grew closer.
Dark’s expression changed slightly, and he immediately grabbed Emma’s shoulder, saying sternly, “It might be a monster, don’t be reckless.”
Emma froze.
They quickly finished their drawings and put them away.
Dark sighed in relief and shouted, “Let’s go, find a crowded place and seek help from upperclassmen…”
Diana and Rose were very obedient at this moment, and the four of them quickly left the passage, with the frescoes fading visibly behind them.
But just as they turned a corner, they heard footsteps and panting sounds coming urgently from the other side of the wall.
Dark listened carefully and soon heard Robert’s scream and Wit’s angry roar, along with the sound of something heavy hitting the ground.
He immediately realized that the minotaur chasing Wit and Robert must be the source of those sounds!
Dark’s face showed a conflicted expression.
Having just experienced a dangerous situation, he really didn’t want to put himself in harm’s way again.
But Wit and Robert were his classmates.
As he pondered this, Emma recognized their voices and exclaimed in surprise, “It’s Wit and Robert!”
Almost immediately after, Robert’s voice of relief came, “It’s Emma! We’re saved…”
But then, Wit’s voice drowned out Robert’s, “Don’t come here, Emma! Run!”
That command made Emma make up her mind.
She looked around and immediately charged towards the junction leading to the adjacent room!
But someone was faster than her.
Dark dashed forward, lips moving rapidly.
Just as he passed Emma, a seductive fallen angel appeared in the light beside him.
“Demoness Beast, please help me.”
“No problem!”
…
From the Demoness Beast’s left shoulder, a black cloth floated like an evil spirit, laughing maniacally.
Tattered wings fluttered like feathers.
The sharp claws of her left hand were both sinister and sharp.
The dark aura leaked silently.
It was unimaginable that such a powerful entity could be summoned within mere seconds!
Emma stopped abruptly, her expression frozen.
Diana and Rose surpassed her and chased after Dark without hesitation.
The newborn King of the Labyrinth likely never imagined that pursuing two small mice would invite the retribution of a fallen angel.
At the junction, Dark turned and saw Minotaur holding the battle axe high above his head!
“Dark Wave!”
The Demoness Beast raised her arms, forming a large heart in front of her chest.
Dark energy condensed rapidly, transforming into countless bat-like dark substances.
Amidst the screams of Wit and Robert, the dark bats swarmed overhead, flying toward Minotaur’s face.
The ferocious minotaur screamed in agony, wildly swinging the battle axe driven by its chaotic mind.
The Demoness Beast leaped, her left hand transforming into a “Dark Lance,” piercing through the gap in the battle axe!
Instantly, the Demoness Beast knelt behind Minotaur, her left hand reverting to a claw, and her cloak fell quietly.
Boom!
A two-meter-wide hole appeared in Minotaur’s chest.
Its movements suddenly stopped, its eyes losing their luster.
It fell backward.
…
Wit and Robert watched in disbelief as Minotaur was instantly killed, the tension in their chests suddenly easing.
Robert collapsed to the ground, drenched in sweat.
Wit staggered.
“Are you okay?” Dark asked casually as he walked past.
But their minds were already overwhelmed, and they stood there in shock without responding.
Dark didn’t pay much attention and simply walked toward Minotaur’s corpse.
“It hasn’t vanished, could it be a real monster?”
Minotaur’s corpse lay motionless on the ground, the giant battle axe beside it.
This labyrinth king was weaker than he had imagined, like a storm with little rain.
Thinking about how cautious he had been, Dark couldn’t help feeling helpless.
Facing him, the Demoness Beast returned to his side, leaning close and whispering softly, “Master, I’m about to lose control.”
