Chapter 90/91 – What Chapter is This?
Kanagawa Prefecture.
Lin Qi brought Yukinoshita Yukino to the location given by Kiyotaka Ijichi, which was a four-story office building.
The neatly dressed working adult was already waiting downstairs, with a pink-haired teenage boy standing beside him, looking around.
“Oh! Here they come!”
Uuji Itadori quickly noticed the two approaching and waved to them. “Come this way!”
“Hey, Mr. Lin Qi! And Snow Under Snow!” He raised his hand and greeted them with a smile.
“Youth Itadori, hello,” Yukinoshita Yukino nodded in acknowledgment.
“Hey,” Lin Qi patted Itadori on the shoulder then pulled out his college teacher’s ID from his pocket, waving it in front of him while smiling. “Now you have to call me teacher.”
“Ah! Teacher Lin Qi!”
Lin Qi nodded approvingly, patting his shoulder with a smile. “So, why are you here today? Trying to get me excited about releasing Sukuna out?”
“Of course not! Though I am glad that Nuppeibo is in pain, it still feels weird when it’s my body suffering.”
“Actually, it’s Mr. Gojo’s arrangement…” Ijichi pushed up his glasses, recalling the conversation he had with Gojo.
“We can’t take Yuuji this time because other things came up,” Gojo smiled.
“So, should we ask Mr. Nanakusa, the first-grade sorcerer who’s free now?” Ijichi asked.
“No, is there a better choice?” Gojo smirked with an irresponsible cheerful tone. “Just give Yuuji to Lin Qi, he will be so eager and it will be fun.”
Recalling the end, seeing Lin Qi’s face turn sour. Ijichi began to regret talking about the trivial matters with everyone.
“Well, that’s the situation,” Itadori casually leaned back with his hands behind his head, grinning white teeth. “Please teach me, Teacher Lin Qi~”
It’s obvious that Itadori heard Lin Qi threatening Sukuna and had told Gojo and others, hence the reason why Gojo gave him Itadori now.
“While I feel like a pawn under Five White-hairs grasp, sending Yuuji to you does suit me, so let it slide this time.” Lin Qi said generously for he wasn’t petty.
Seeing Lin Qi didn’t take offense, Ijichi quietly relaxed. “Let’s continue our discussion inside.”
The three entered a small room resembling a combat briefing room inside the office building under Ijichi’s lead; Lin Qi sat down on a couch.
After being introduced, they learned the office building is where occult intelligence is exchanged, each prefecture has one similar site. These stations collect information about cursed spirits and curses and send them via individual networks.
As times advance, so do the occult sorcerers.
However, top-secret information is still transferred through spells.
“This is the recording captured by the cinema camera during the incident,” he turned on the projector in the room showing a video clip.
In a dim theater, only four high-school boys were present—the three seated together completely disregarded the movie content, chatting and lauging.
Soon after, the three boys suddenly underwent abnormal transformations. Their heads and bodies swelled up, appearing monstrously misshapen, blood dripping from their seven orifices.
Their gruesome state clearly indicated that they died instantly.
The final boy with side-swept bangs ran away in panic immediately after witnessing the scene.
The clip ended.
“The surveillance couldn’t capture any cursed spirits, right?” asked Yuuji.
After receiving affirmation, he continued: “Is the culprit a cursed spirit?”
“Probably a special grade,” responded the working adult, nodding. “According to Mr. Lin’s report, it should be.”
“Again! A special grade!”
Yuuji exclaimed in surprise. Ever since being admitted by Yuujou Gojo to the college of occult, every enemy except the first with Nigaki seemed to be a special grade.
“This criminal used similar methods, killing a student from our school.” Watching the footage, Yukinoshita frowned and coldly stated a moment of sorrow flashing through her eyes.
“I didn’t even know that there was such a case… ” muttered Yuuji, clenching his fist.
“When I was looking all over Chiba and found nothing, turns out they came to Kanagawa.”
Lin Qi raised an eyebrow, abruptly getting up from the sofa. “Then let’s hurry and check the crime scene.”
Last time, for pulling off the head of a special-grade cursed spirit, the system gave him twelve thousand points. How many points would this special-grade bring?
It was truly exciting to speculate.
“Please wait a moment, Mr. Lin Qi.” called Ijichi before Lin Qi could leave, “There is another piece of information possibly related to the cursed spirit that掌握了无为转变.”
“According to Mr. Gojo, recently, he was attacked by a special-grade cursed spirit that possessed human-level intelligence, communicating smoothly and activating domains.”
“But another special-grade cursed spirit appeared and rescued its companion while Gojo was inquiring about information.”
“Do special-grade cursed spirits work together?” Lin Qi finished dismissively, waving his hand. “Just a bunch of mobs, not worth concern.”
“Let’s go.” He led Yuuji and Yukinoshita out of the room.
“Good luck.”
Ijichi watched the trio leave, then took out a handkerchief from his pocket to wipe the sweat on his forehead.
While Lin Qi was not as tough to handle like Gojo, and appeared very agreeable, it was still quite intimidating to be in the same place with such powerful people.
Especially after Lin Qi had completed the Incarnation…
“As for the other task that Gojo assigned me…”
“Lin Qi’s Incarnation method is completely different from what we know about taking a cursed spirit host’s body.”
“I am curious.”
“Say, Ijichi—look into it.”
He only had one thought in his head: Me?
…
After school, becoming a Jujutsu Sorcerer
