Chapter 112: Mahito’s Plan
The clear sky bore an invisible black curtain, large enough to cover the entire Kanagawa Prefecture, as if a giant bowl inverted over them.
“Such a remarkable barrier technique, sent by someone from Kōsen? When did Kōsen get capable of deploying barrier techniques at this level?”
The man穿着五条袈裟,留着马尾辫,额头上有明显的缝合线,一绺刘海垂在他的左眉。他轻轻触碰着黑色的帷幕,仿佛触摸到了一堵空气墙,无法再向前深入。
“A barrier set to only allow entry and not exit?” The corners of his lips curled upwards slightly. “It seems that Mahito will have some trouble.”
However, the spell he cast was peculiar; even if he couldn’t win, he could still flee, so there was no real problem.
He turned around and left, for he had no intention of breaking through the veil just yet, as revealing himself to those from Kōsen was not part of the plan.
As long as Mahito’s plan went smoothly, it would suffice.
“Hey there.”
“Oh, it’s Youjuro,” came the response, referring to the man with five rings on his robe, with a ponytail, and clearly a student from the higher education institution known as Kōsen.
On the rooftop of a high-rise building, Mahito turned to greet him casually.
“How’s your operation going?” asked Youjuro.
“Well, all considered, everything has gone according to plan.”
Mahito’s lips curled upward, his gaze sweeping over the streets below. His eyes rested on the group of three people, including Yuuji Itadori.
“As soon as Junpei Yoshino chose the container of Ryomen Sukuna, all the subsequent steps were already determined. By colliding Junpei Yoshino with the Sukuna container, Sukuna will surely gain the advantage in the body. Ideally, we want Sukuna to take over the container. At worst, we can still win him over.”
“If Onlyru could also be as rational as you,” sighed Youjuro, spreading his arms widely.
“Youjuro sought out to fight Satoru Gojo directly by himself last time. He had his head cut off as a result. If Hana Onshi hadn’t come to his rescue, he would have been annihilated in front of Satoru Gojo.”
“It’s such a straightforward personality, isn’t that endearing too?” Mahito smiled in reply.
Yukiyoshi simply gave a noncommittal smile and didn’t delve further into the subject: “The girl beside the container of Sukuna. She is not wearing a Kōsen uniform but appears to be a student nonetheless.”
“I do not concern myself with those outside the plan; if they are in the way, eliminate them.” Mahito sat at the edge of the rooftop, his long legs swinging freely in mid-air.
“Kōsen wouldn’t send students below the Rank 2 level for this mission. There must be a leader accompanying them. How do you intend to deal with them?” Youjuro queried.
“The invitations have already been sent out. All that remains now is to wait.” A glint of anticipation flickered in Mahito’s heterochromatic eyes, “I hope we don’t receive anyone too weak, or my experiment will halt.”
“Seems like you’re very confident about this. Then let me give your plan a little boost.”
Youjuro extracted a finger that had calcified like a wraith’s finger from his sleeves and handed it to Mahito.
For a moment, Mahito was stunned but quickly understood his intention and responded with mild astonishment: “You certainly made sacrifices.”
“Nothing important, just a part of the plan.”
Smiling mysteriously, Youjuro nodded with a meaningful look.

After Yuuji Itadori followed Junpei Yoshino to his house for dinner, only Ichizō Ijichi and Yukinoshita Yukino remained in the car.
“Is there any place you wish to visit, Miss Yukinoshita?” Ichizō Ijichi asked.
“Please wait a second. I’ll send Lin Qi a message and inquire of him.” Yukinoshita Yukino took her phone out and sent a message to Lin Qi, asking where he was currently.
He replied almost instantly, sending down a positioning marker: Seino Bar.
Upon seeing Seino Bar as specified by Lin Qi, the girl immediately frowned.
The message was withdrawn in the next instant.
Two minutes later, another new location was sent back to her, precisely the family restaurant they had visited earlier.
Yukinoshita Yukino:?
Lin Qi: Let’s go eat.
With a headache, Yukinoshita Yukino pinched the bridge of her nose, relaying the address provided by Lin Qi to Ichizō Ijichi and requesting him to drive her to the restaurant.
Not long after, the car pulled up in front of the family restaurant where Lin Qi was. Just before getting out, Yukinoshita Yukino asked,
“Mr. Ichizō, why don’t you join us for dinner?”
“No no, that’s unnecessary. Thank you, Miss Yukinoshita,” Ichizō Ijichi promptly declined, almost knocking off his spectacles from his nose.
“I’ll be on my way then, I’ve troubled you already today.”
“I barely did anything; it was just driving. You were the one who put forth effort, Miss Yukinoshita.”
After she got out of the car, he floored the accelerator immediately, speeding away quickly until he disappeared from sight.
Yukinoshita Yukino watched him leave, then turned towards the family restaurant, only to notice a handsome dark-haired young man sitting near the window, waving at her.
The girl stood on the street, staring blankly at him.
Lin Qi’s expression became awkward right away.
Why rush so much?
Walking into the restaurant, Yukinoshita Yukino caught sight, by chance, of four high school girls taking photos surreptitiously of Lin Qi with their phones, right after class.
After passing by the table where the girls were, she continued straight toward Lin Qi and sat opposite him at his booth.
She noticed the four girls’ expressions became flustered.
“So, Bucket, are you going to explain why you’re here in a place like a bar?” Yukinoshita Yukino wrinkled her nose in disapproval, “Or did you find something there?”
“Of course there is,” Lin Qi replied, crossing his arms and putting them on the table, playing aloof. “That Special Grade Cursed Spirit should still be somewhere within Kanagawa Prefecture as far as we know.”
“And then?”
“He…”
Yukinoshita Yukino’s face showed an expression of disbelief.
“…used a barrier technique to encompass the entire Kanagawa Prefecture. This way, we won’t worry about the enemy escaping.” He pointed to the sky outside the window.
Yukinoshita Yukino looked along his finger, finally glimpsing the veil hidden amidst the clouds. The barrier was of such vast extent that it was barely noticeable when unobserved.
“So, apart from setting up extra safety measures, Lin Qi really did nothing,” Yukinoshita Yukino said, questioning him anew.
“Well, order already,”
Lin Qi pretended not to hear, warmly offering the menu to the girl opposite him.
