In this world, there’s something called a “popcorn angle.”
It’s a situation where one sits across the river, enjoying honey while others are tearing each other apart.
And at this very moment, our Demon Kingdom’s stance perfectly aligns with that popcorn angle.
“I hear the Empire lost again. The Delphi area was completely taken over by the Magic Kingdom, and the commander Aias was horrifically raped and publicly humiliated.”
“Well… I’ve heard a lot about it, but it seems the Magic Kingdom has many barbaric customs. A woman should have her virtue, yet how can they…?”
“Well, every country has its own unique culture, I suppose. But even so, it’s hard not to agree that this is a bit extreme.”
The Magic Kingdom, with customs that feel almost akin to something from the Amazon in modern times.
Of course, that doesn’t mean there are no men in the Magic Kingdom, but fundamentally, the status of women is higher, and as a result of these customs, the population is overwhelmingly female.
Given that it’s a nation of witches, I can’t help but wonder if this situation was intentionally crafted. Nevertheless, it’s understandable that those with a so-called general mindset would find it pretty nuanced.
Anyway, the Magic Kingdom has been slowly eroding the Empire’s territory from the north, while the Beastman Kingdom and Elf Church Country are attacking from the south and east, shaking the once-mighty Falcon Empire significantly.
Naturally, from the perspective of the Magic Kingdom, which has experienced a joyful beating from those four nations under the guise of a racial alliance, it’s a situation akin to a troubling toothache finally being relieved.
“Honestly, I wish those guys would just wipe each other out already. After all, they’re just our residual enemies.”
“If I think so too… it might be a bit of a stretch. The territory of the Falcon Empire is simply too vast, while the three countries invading it have their limitations in national power.”
The Demon King speaks with a hint of regret.
I nodded slowly in agreement.
“Isn’t it called the so-called endpoint of an offensive? From that perspective, the Falcon Empire’s territory is indeed vast.”
The Falcon Empire possesses land nearly equivalent to the combined territories of the three enemy nations, making it exceedingly difficult to swallow that vast expanse whole.
Additionally, even though the situation is quite complex right now, leaving everyone a bit dazed, the latent national power of this colossal empire is immense, and those three nations don’t have the capability to fully handle it.
In other words, if they start responding calmly, there’s enough leeway left to weather this storm with only a moderate amount of damage.
This situation was quite annoying for us, who effectively positioned the Falcon Empire as our main enemy, knowing that if circumstances improve in the future, they could very well invade our Demon Kingdom again at any time.
“I certainly want to seize this opportunity to crush the Falcon Empire’s momentum, but I have no clear method to do so.”
“Umm… I, too, can’t think of anything concrete at the moment. While I’ve managed to set the stage for a decent picture until now, going further is a little ambiguous.”
If our national power were a bit stronger, we would have attacked the Empire in cooperation with those three countries beating it down.
However, unfortunately, the current state of the Demon Kingdom is far from being able to send expeditionary forces over the sea.
Though the Magic Kingdom has stabilized to some extent over the past year thanks to support from the Elves and various other matters, the domestic situation still lacks the conditions for any reckless expedition.
Moreover, such dangerous yet radical changes are not something I, or the Demon King for that matter, would want.
Thus, we decided to watch this situation calmly while munching on some popcorn, curious about just how much those three countries could make a mess of the Empire.
But then…
“Huh?”
“What’s wrong, Your Majesty?”
“Umm… take a look at this, Ellen. It appears to be a letter sent to you.”
“Me? Who is it from?”
The Demon King hands me the letter as if to say, “Check the contents first.”
Immediately, I started to feel a strong interest as I caught sight of the sender’s name inscribed within.
“Cassandra… one of the Empire’s Three Knights.”
“That’s right, it’s a letter she sent to me. From the looks of it, it seems Ellen is under the impression that it’s meant for him. Wasn’t he the one who faced her back in Rob?”
“Yes, that would probably be correct.”
As I responded to the Demon King’s words, I began to carefully read through the detailed contents of the letter.
The letter was significantly long and gave off a somewhat verbose feel.
While scanning it, I couldn’t help but notice my lips slowly curling up into a smile.
“This could perhaps become a good opportunity for us.”
“An opportunity?”
“Yes, Your Majesty. Perhaps we have a chance to truly slice the Falcon Empire in two as we desire.”
“Is that… really possible? Explain in detail.”
The Demon King began to inquire with sparkling eyes, captivated by my words.
In response, I laid out the information I had on Cassandra, the audacious character from the game I had experienced before coming to this world, into the current situation and my thoughts.

Cassandra Inklement.
One of the Empire’s Three Knights and head of the prominent Inklement family, she harbored a single ambition.
It was her ambition to one day dethrone the Emperor ruling the Falcon Empire and take his place.
This wasn’t just her own personal aspiration, but a lifelong legacy passed down from her ancestors, along with the family’s goal. To achieve this, Cassandra masked her true intentions by outwardly appearing as a loyal knight to the Emperor, while subtly sowing her people throughout the Empire, preparing to attempt treason when the opportunity arose.
This fact was revealed quite explicitly through the original work, leading to much discussion among users about whether Cassandra would ascend to the throne after the war or end up as a sex slave after failing.
Knowing that fact, I opted to spare her when I first confronted Cassandra in this world.
Like nurturing a budding spark of rebellion in the midst of a hostile territory that could erupt in extreme situations in the future.
And right now.
Before my eyes, that seed I had sown in the past was preparing to sprout, and in connection, I began discussing with the Demon King how to utilize this opportunity.
“Cassandra has long dreamed of rebellion. Currently, the Falcon Empire is in disarray, unable to regain its senses from the onslaught of its enemies, and still bears the scars of the previous war. It’s a very chaotic atmosphere. She is certainly eyeing this opportunity to stage a revolt.”
“And we would assist this Cassandra in causing division within the Empire. Is that what you’re saying?”
“Yes, Your Majesty. Moreover, even if it fails, we could deal meaningful damage to the Empire. If a prominent figure like her were to fail in rising in revolt, it would surely send shockwaves through the Empire’s political landscape.”
“That’s a good thought. Then let’s discuss specifically what we should do.”
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
Nonetheless, from our standpoint, we couldn’t afford to deploy a large army right now.
What we could do was only send a small elite force, just like when we sowed discord between the Magic Kingdom and the Empire before.
Accordingly, I began working with the Demon King to select a force we could call the best that could navigate enemy territory and return unscathed.

A shabby port located north of the Falcon Empire.
A group of soldiers waiting there felt a heavy tension upon seeing those descending before them.
‘Are those… the reinforcements sent from the Demon Kingdom?’
‘Really, the Master’s abilities are astounding. I never imagined he would involve the Demon Kingdom in this affair.’
‘The power emanating from them is no ordinary strength. Especially that individual… could it be the Demon King I’ve only heard of in rumors?’
A warrior clad in black armor leads the soldiers, swinging a massive great sword that made an imposing presence.
Following him were four other warriors, equally uncommon in strength.
Even though they weren’t enemies, the instinctual pressure emanating from them left the soldiers quaking in fear.
“Growl… grrrr…”
In an instant, one of the soldiers let out a low growl, like that of a beast, towards the armored warrior.
At that moment, the wielder of the great sword casually tapped the beast’s head and spoke in a deep voice.
“Calm down. You’ll get to fight soon enough, so for now, just sit tight.”
“Ha… ha… ha…”
The warrior exhaled as if gasping like a dog in response to those words.
With that, a scene arose that exuded an incomprehensible chill, and the warriors of the Demon Kingdom began boarding their carriage.
Their destination?
The capital of the Falcon Empire.
Olympius.
