Chapter 411: Eruption (Part 2)
“Then I will just kill you, you little pest.”
Hu was fuming, his right hand already transformed into a blue光剑, radiating an intense glow.
“Sister Kexin, you must run away…”
As Ruo’er spoke, Hu lunged at her, and Su Kexin desperately waved her sword to block.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The two clashed fiercely, weapons crashing loudly against each other, accompanied by a surge of powerful energy.
Su Kexin had already been slashed once before, and now blood flowed from her wound as she endured the pain, continuing to fight Hu.
After exchanging several blows, Su Kexin found herself outmatched in both speed and strength, suffering multiple injuries from his attacks, leaving her bleeding profusely.
She gritted her teeth, but the disparity in power was too great to withstand.
Su Kexin was struck down, and Ruo’er hurriedly began to cast a Spirit Recovery spell on her, or else she would be in mortal danger.
“Ruo’er… you must get away…”
“Sister Kexin, the young master will be here soon; you have to hold on.”
Ruo’er infused Su Kexin with her energy, and Kexin felt slightly better, although the situation was still grim.
They didn’t know if Lin Nuo would come or if they could hold out, leaving them to place their hopes on him.
“Not bad, still holding on.”
Hu sneered, his blue光剑 now coated with Su Kexin’s red blood, ready to launch his next attack.
He charged forward, swinging his sharp blue光剑 down at her, the atmosphere crackling with pressure that left one gasping for breath.
Ruo’er exerted all her strength to conjure a Spirit Shield, attempting to block the impact of this blow, but the Shield shattered instantly. Yet she persisted, continuously channeling her energy into it, her face quickly draining of color as her strength waned.
The Shield collapsed, and the sword was about to strike down.
“Ruo’er!”
In that critical moment, Su Kexin exerted herself to pull Ruo’er away just as the sharp sword crashed into the ground with a bang, creating a massive crater.
Both were sent flying by the force, but Su Kexin managed to hold onto Ruo’er, and they landed in a tangle together.
They were just a breath away from becoming wandering souls.
“Ruo’er, are you okay? Ah, Ruo’er, what’s wrong?! Ruo’er?!”
Su Kexin noticed Ruo’er had become weak from overexertion, her eyelids drooping.
“Sister Kexin, hurry, leave, don’t worry about me…”
Ruo’er spoke in a frail voice, then closed her eyes, slipping into unconsciousness.
“Ruo’er, Ruo’er, don’t scare me!”
No matter how much Su Kexin shouted, Ruo’er didn’t respond. Thankfully, she could still feel her breath and heartbeat, but the situation was dire.
What to do now? The gap in power was too vast; they couldn’t possibly fight him.
They could only run, though the chances of escape were slim.
“Not bad, you’re quite resilient.”
Hu withdrew the blue光剑 stuck in the ground and coldly snickered at Su Kexin.
Su Kexin picked up Ruo’er and, using all her strength, turned to flee.
Hu was exhilarated; he loved seeing his prey’s desperate attempts to escape and imagined how amusing it would be to see their despair when caught.
“You can’t run, you can’t escape.”
He sneered disdainfully, gathering energy in a storm and darting right in front of Su Kexin.
“Die!”
The sharp光剑 came crashing down; Su Kexin had no time to evade, and the sword sliced right across her.
“Ah!!”
A wave of excruciating pain surged through her entire body as she spat out blood, her hands losing strength to hold onto Ruo’er, who fell to the ground.
She crumpled down, her blood pooling beneath her.
“Still trying to run?”
Hu thrust his piercing sword into Su Kexin’s thigh, and another surge of pain coursed through her, her face etched with agony and weakness.
“Slaughtering you humans is as easy as squashing ants, but killing you directly would be too easy on you.”
He then plunged his sword into her other leg, and Su Kexin bore the pain, struggling to utter just one last statement:
“Those who do evil will meet their doom… someone will surely come to stop you…”
“Is that so? Do you humans possess such ability?”
Hu pointed his sword at Su Kexin, scoffing:
“I’ve wasted enough time on you; it’s time to end this.”
He swung down his final strike, aiming for a fatal blow, and Su Kexin could no longer resist.
She had spoken of not wanting to be a burden to her Senior Martial Brother, of wanting to grow strong enough to support him—those words were merely delusions; in the end, she realized she couldn’t accomplish anything.
She failed to protect anyone, a futile resistance, destined to become a nameless casualty.
She probably wouldn’t survive, hoping the villagers had escaped safely, wishing for divine fate to spare Ruo’er.
With no ability to fight back, she closed her eyes, awaiting the fatal blow.
At that moment, deep within her shadowy heart, a hidden flame was ignited, blazing brightly, illuminating the dark corners of her soul.
The heat surged through her body, and the still-sleeping Spirit Heart within her sensed the fiery fervor in Su Kexin’s heart, emanating an overwhelming spirit energy.
Boom!
At the moment Hu’s sword fell, an immense surge of energy erupted from Su Kexin, sending Hu reeling back several steps.
His right hand, wielding the sword, trembled slightly.
“What is happening?”
He was bewildered by the sudden occurrence; the power came so unexpectedly, erupting in an instant.
Now, Su Kexin was standing, as if buffeted by a mighty wind; her long black hair billowed, and the Phoenix Sword in her hand radiated with intense spirit light.
Her gaze had transformed; where there was once wrath, now there were no emotions to be seen at all.
Her expression mirrored her demeanor: no more anger, no more clenched teeth, just serenity.
Her aura surged, strikingly more powerful than before, as if she had become a different person.
“No matter what tricks you play, humans will ultimately never surpass the greatness of our Sea Domain Dragon Clan.”
Hu declared confidently, dismissing any power she possessed as nothing more than a weak ant.
Then Hu charged at her, swinging his sharp blue sword.
Su Kexin made no move to retreat; instead, she gently lifted her bloodied right hand, and in a split second, swung the Phoenix Sword with lightning speed to meet his attack.
Bang!
Hu’s sword snapped in two.
Not only that, but Su Kexin’s Phoenix Sword also cleaved across him.
“Ah!!!!”
It was as if endless flames burned through his body, bringing unimaginable pain and scorching heat, like a furnace from hell.
“How is this possible?! How could this happen?!”
He couldn’t believe it—the gap in power between that woman and what she was before was an impossibility!
“This can’t be; I refuse to believe that humans can reach this level!”
Hu quickly reformed his right hand, morphing it into a blue光剑 once more, charging forward again.
Yet, he was struck down again.
