Chapter 55: Haven’t We Had Enough Fun?
The illustrious student council president, right in front of a bunch of classmates, was harassing a member of the student council.
Is this even reasonable?
Roy quickly glanced around at everyone present.
Your precious student council president is acting up again, someone, please stop her!
Yet, everyone seemed to turn a blind eye, even bowing their heads lower.
Roy was dumbfounded.
Shouldn’t a devoted follower be the most sensitive about their goddess getting too close to other guys? She’s all over him now, and they’re just pretending not to see it?!
Of course, Leanna just smiled and said nothing.
She certainly wouldn’t let that annoying follower who’s clearly ogling her join the student council. The ones surrounding her were clearly fans of both her and Roy.
In other words, the entire student council was carefully selected as Leanna’s support club for Roy x Leanna.
Don’t even think about stopping them; if it weren’t for Roy being too strong to take down, they would have likely pinned him to the ground for Leanna to enjoy.
Roy attempted a last-ditch effort: “By the way, I’m not your little brother. You don’t need to hold my hand through this.”
“But the younger students can be a bit silly, like little brothers who can’t even count their own money~”
“You…!”
Once again, the moist and sultry breath brushed against his ear, causing Roy to shudder slightly.
“Stop thinking nonsense; don’t you want to finish this quickly?”
At Leanna’s reminder, Roy had to reluctantly reply, “Fine.”
I must admit, Leanna really knows how to handle paperwork better than he does. She quickly spotted what was wrong with the accounts, held his hand, and started rechecking everything.
However, those few short minutes felt like they were draining the life out of Roy.
The cool and soft touch on the back of his hand, the breath mingled with the aroma of coffee by his ear, and the occasional strands of brown hair brushing against his cheek brought the scent of those lovely flowers.
It all seemed bitter, yet wrapped in her embrace, he could taste a rich aftertaste that was hard to resist.
If he could still somewhat endure all this, the occasional soft bump behind him was just really throwing Roy off balance.
With the pen basically manipulated by Leanna, feeling that smooth and silky texture hidden beneath her dress, Roy’s thoughts unintentionally wandered.
Don’t be fooled by her slender figure; she’s not that much smaller than Nia…
“Hey, are you daydreaming?”
“!”
Roy snapped back to reality and coldly replied, “I wasn’t daydreaming; it’s you who’s wasting time! Hurry up and finish the accounts!”
“But…” Leanna seemed to stifle a laugh, “The account was already correct, but the little junior is still quietly bowing his head.”
Leanna looked down and shot him a teasing glance: “Being impatient with your mouth, but your body says otherwise.”
Roy immediately retorted, “I’m not!”
“I just didn’t want to interrupt you since you were deep in thought…”
“Ah, you were lying to me?”
“???”
“Didn’t you notice? The accounts were just fixed,” Leanna paused, delightfully covering her mouth, “So you were totally daydreaming, right?”
Roy’s face turned beet red as he opened his mouth but had no words to offer. Finally, he had to shut it again, furiously turning his head away to ignore the smug look on that bad woman’s face.
The student council had more tedious tasks and more opportunities to take leave than regular students, and today was no different.
After finally enduring the morning paperwork, it was finally lunchtime. Everyone else went back to rest and prepare for afternoon classes, leaving Roy still accompanying Leanna in her office to eat.
Neither had gone to the cafeteria; they had both brought simple lunches.
Leanna purposely sat in front of Roy, somewhat surprised: “You didn’t go to the cafeteria today? Did you specially come to keep me company? How nice of you.”
Roy scoffed: “It’s because every time we go to the cafeteria, you follow me around, bringing gossip! Better to just eat here instead of being misunderstood.”
“I don’t mind being misunderstood,” Leanna shrugged, then picked up a cherry tomato from her lunchbox and took a light bite.
Juice spilled over, making her already rosy lips look even glossier.
“Looks like you prefer to be alone with me rather than in public, junior.”
Roy nearly choked on his bread.
Leanna initially struggled to contain her laughter but suddenly shifted her focus, gazing into Roy’s eyes: “But if we’re going to have some alone time, we should go somewhere a bit more formal? I know a great restaurant, would you be willing to treat me?”
Under the table, her foot, wrapped in black stockings and high heels, casually brushed against the leg of the young boy.
Roy pulled his leg back and avoided her captivating gaze, distressed: “Let’s just forget it.”
“Alice and the others are waiting for me tonight.”
However, Leanna’s persistence caught him off guard.
“Then how about tomorrow?”
“I have plans for tomorrow too.”
“Then the day after tomorrow.”
Roy started to feel a bit guilty: “I’m busy then as well.”
Leanna’s expression didn’t change: “Then we’ll wait until you’re free.”
“Or, are you telling me that the heartless junior doesn’t even want to spare a little time for his senior?”
Suddenly, Leanna reached out, grabbing Roy’s hand and slightly standing up.
Her waist, like a water snake, curved invitingly, her slender figure leaning in aggressively, catching him totally off guard.
Roy was momentarily stunned.
Those purple eyes, more mysterious and dazzling than the stars in the night sky, captivated him without any need for illusions.
Roy suddenly felt a bit scared. He could resist illusions, but the subtle feelings rising in his heart were hard to grasp, even harder to shake off.
Until Leanna’s words struck a chord deep within him.
“Forget about them, just focus on us.”
Roy’s pupils shrank, and he swiftly pushed Leanna forward, causing her to stumble.
Food and coffee spilled everywhere, getting Leanna’s black dress messy.
Watching the usually composed student council president in such a disheveled state, Roy felt a bit guilty, but remembering what she just said, he couldn’t help but put on a stern face, staring coldly at her.
“Leanna, haven’t we had enough fun?”
“…I’m not just playing with you, junior.”
“Aren’t you? You’ve been doing everything to keep me all to yourself. But let me tell you, it won’t work.” Roy took a deep breath, glaring at Leanna, and said firmly: “Whether it’s Charlotte or Nia, I won’t betray them.”
Leanna bit her silver teeth, her gaze dimming.
“After all, we’re just allies. You can play around, but it’s about time to get serious, right?”
“I know you and I want the same thing at that auction; once the timing is set, I’ll let you know.”
“Sooner rather than later.”
Roy stood up and pulled away.
Once he got the Certificate of Kingship, this entanglement should come to an end. If he drags this out longer, he’ll have to deal with those troublesome fate points.
Unlike Charlotte and Nia, Leanna wasn’t someone special to him—just a temporary alliance for mutual benefit. He had no need to get dragged into her fate.
