Chapter 126: Do You Still Think I’m Just Showing Off?
Roy looked up at the soaring demon and couldn’t help but exclaim, “This is just outrageous.”
The demon in mid-air looked down with a sneer and said, “By any means necessary, that’s the style of the Demon Race.”
“I admit, your abilities are a hassle, but you have weaknesses too!”
“You may not excel in ranged attacks, but unfortunately, that’s my forte!”
Diabolus swung his sharp claws, unleashing dark, extraordinary power, creating shadowy projectiles that came slicing through the air!
A glimmer flashed coldly.
Roy slashed at a claw with his sword, leaving horrifying scratches on the ground behind him.
But this was just one strike.
Diabolus continued to unleash his dark claws like rain falling from the sky, as if it were execution from above.
Even with Roy wielding his sword and employing exceptionally refined swordsmanship, he was still hit by the claws that slipped through, and despite his unpredictable evasive maneuvers, he was continually struck by the relentless assaults.
The Demon Race’s “Shadow Claws” weren’t powerful, but they made up for it with distance and speed!
As a Sequence 5, Diabolus boasted far superior reserves of extraordinary power compared to Roy!
The multitude of claws sparked against Roy’s dragon scales, and even the Evil Dragon Blood Armor began to show cracks from the repeated strikes.
Roy gritted his teeth and, relying on the last of his dragon scales, braced himself against the falling blades of light and suddenly leaped, throwing a blood-red spear.
The crimson light was dazzling, piercing through the rain of claws and rushing upwards.
However, Diabolus had already anticipated this, spreading his demonic wings and shooting up into the sky to evade the attack.
“How ridiculous, like an ant trying to be brave!”
“Just crawl on the ground and die while looking up at me!”
Diabolus reclaimed his arrogance as a powerful being, grinning as dark purple flames surged in his hands.
The air warped from the intense heat, and a massive pressure made it hard to breathe.
Flames erupted from the great demon’s palms, the fire of one of the Four Demon Kings, the Fire Demon Ifrit, fell like a heavenly fire that would annihilate everything!
Roy’s expression darkened as he raised his sword, summoning his own crimson flames.
The vivid red slash roared like a fire dragon, colliding head-on with the dark purple flames.
The two-colored flames entwined and devoured each other, unleashing terrifying waves of fire that burnt everything around them to ashes.
However, in terms of power, the Sequence 5 great demon was evidently stronger; the red dragon flame was suppressed into nothingness after just a brief resistance against the thick magical flames.
Roy was blown away by the shockwave, having to stab his sword into the ground to steady himself.
Amidst the chaos of the two-colored flames, Roy let out a slow breath, feeling a burning pain in his internal organs.
It was said that the four Demon Kings of the Demon Race were all high-tier extraordinary beings, possessing terrifying powers that could rival that of pure-blood mythical creatures.
The flames of the Fire Demon Ifrit were truly as fearsome as rumored.
Even with Roy’s “Ashes to Embers,” he couldn’t completely withstand that strike.
The “Shadow’s Illusion” was reduced to mere fragments, damaged beyond repair.
The Evil Dragon Blood Armor was like cracked mud, peeling away to reveal scorched skin beneath.
Most importantly, the relentless battle had drained Roy’s extraordinary power once again, forcing him to use “Blood Magic Restoration” to keep going. Even though he was now Sequence 7, he still lacked the reserves that mid-tier extraordinary beings had by a significant margin.
Yet despite all that, Roy bravely suppressed the pain and exhaustion, forcing a smirk and hoarsely provoking, “Is this your limit?”
“Not dead yet…” Diabolus panted slightly, the magical flames were not his own power; forcing an external force on any extraordinary being takes a considerable mental toll.
But Diabolus still boasted.
“I just remembered, the Cultists are after some special bloodline, rumored to have the means to restrain them, with extraordinary power—viewed by them as blasphemy.”
“So that would be you.”
“But you’re at your limit too, huh?”
“With the next move, I’ll completely finish you off!”
Diabolus conjured a sphere emanating terrifying pressure, even igniting the magical flames to ensure the other’s demise.
The two forces intertwined, amplifying the horror of their strength.
In the sky, the dark purple shadow fireball burned fiercely, dimming the daylight.
Feeling the shocking power, the nearby demons erupted in excitement, while the human warriors turned pale, envisioning a terrible outcome.
With the magical flames and “Shadow Sphere” stacked together, even the most renowned Sequence 5 defenses would likely struggle to withstand it head-on.
However, Roy’s expression remained tranquil as he clutched the blood-red spear, his breath calm, ready for battle.
This calm and determined demeanor unsettled Diabolus, who had planned to relish Roy’s despair, feeling a slight unease mixed with irritation.
“Fine, there’s always those disrespectful fools like you.”
But at that moment, the young boy’s eye shimmered with sapphire brilliance.
Then he suddenly opened his mouth and roared.
“Bard’s Illusory Song!”
The distorted extraordinary sound wave howled like a tidal wave.
Diabolus felt an intangible storm crash into his mind, unleashing tsunami-like pain, making it impossible for him to think.
Hit squarely by the mental attack, Diabolus howled in agony and had no choice but to toss the fireball aside.
The atmosphere ignited, the air warped, and the dark purple flames threatened to consume everything.
Yet a streak of crimson light shot through the unrivalled magical flames like a thunderbolt breaking the night, surging upward and leaving a deep blood-red trail!
“Blood Condensation!”
The fireball exploded, shadows surged, and the young boy’s figure was engulfed in an instant.
But at the same time, Diabolus lost his chance to evade due to that momentary lapse, allowing the crimson light to pierce straight through him.
The terrifying magical light consumed the entire estate, even the trees surrounding the building were engulfed in flames, turned to ashes in the inferno.
The front of the mansion was left barren, transformed into scorched earth covered with magical flames and dark energy waves.
However, the owner of this terrifying scene, the demon named Diabolus, had already fallen to the ground, too occupied to appreciate the chaos.
His chest was completely impaled by the blood-red spear.
Even so, for the Demon Race, this wasn’t exactly a fatal wound.
However, within the blood-red spear lay some bizarre power that rampaged through his body like thunder, instantly destroying his organs, even the source of his bloodline.
One-armed and now slumped in the ruins, Diabolus couldn’t even muster the strength to summon a shadowy arm, vomiting blood and shredded flesh, with his chest reduced to an ever-expanding hollow.
“Bastard… human… how dare you, how dare you…”
Diabolus’s face contorted in disbelief, unable to accept that he was injured so badly by a lower-sequence extraordinary being!
Filled with resentment, he glared into the distance, only to see the other party’s upper body half-destroyed, now just a corpse engulfed in magical flames.
No wonder, taking that blow head-on, even an average mid-tier extraordinary being would turn to dust, leaving nothing but ash.
Thinking this, Diabolus showed a hint of scorn, comforting himself, “Even if you give it your all, you’ll never defeat me…”
At least he was still alive.
However, the next second, Diabolus widened his eyes in shock.
Because that “corpse” began to twitch slowly.
Under the crimson haze, that supposedly ruined body visibly healed at a speed visible to the naked eye, then Roy suddenly opened his eyes, gasping for air like a drowning survivor.
Then he struggled to rise.
In the sea of fire, the blood-soaked young boy lifted his head and flashed a brilliant smile at the stunned demon.
“I told you, I can handle killing you alone.”
“Do you still think I’m just showing off?”
