Rehabilitation Therapist for the Broken Warrior – Chapter 61

“Come here slowly.”

“Ugh…”

Hero Zion, putting all his strength into his limbs, slowly moves forward while leaning on the parallel bars.

It had already been more than two months since he started his walking training, holding onto the parallel bars.

“Is it really hard?”

“I’m okay. I’ll be there soon.”

Zion, who said he’d be there soon, began to pick up speed while looking directly at me.

Suddenly increasing his speed, huh?

“Don’t rush over. Come slowly.”

“Oh, right?”

When I reminded him to come slowly, Zion reacted as if he had forgotten and slowed down again.

It’s important to take it slow while exercising. It’s effective because you can feel where the muscles are straining and how hard it is.

After walking diligently, Zion finally reached the end of the parallel bars and leaned back towards me, who was waiting on the other side.

“Good job, Zion.”

“Thank you, Teacher. But, um…”

“Do you have something to say?”

“I was wondering if it would be okay to rest a bit like this.”

Resting, huh? From my perspective, Zion didn’t look like he was struggling at all.

He had even managed to speed up in the middle, and he wasn’t shaking his limbs like before. But he wants to rest…?

“Teacher? What are you thinking about?”

I had momentarily lost myself in thought, and it seemed Zion noticed something was off with me and called out.

“Oh, it’s nothing. Just do as you like.”

“Hehe, okay~”

When I said it was fine to rest, Zion buried his face in my chest and slipped his hands inside my gown, pulling me into an embrace.

But wait… doesn’t it look like he’s not just resting against me, but actually hugging me while standing?

Both his recent training and this feeling of strength clearly indicate that Zion is in a comfortable state.

It’s been quite a long period since he started walking training.

So, could it be that Zion might actually be able to stand on his own?

“Zion.”

“Yes, Teacher.”

“Don’t you think you can stand by yourself soon?”

“Wh-what?!”

And upon sharing this thought with Zion, who was still clinging to me, he looked up in surprise while keeping his body tightly against mine.

“Really, is that so?”

“Is that so? It’s not a challenge or anything right now. Please take your treatment seriously.”

“Ugh, I’m sorry…”

Ever since we started going out, our exercise time has almost always been like this.

When it used to be that whenever I would touch Zion’s body, he would call me a weird person who liked to touch him, now he’s the one always trying to cling to me, making it impossible to concentrate on exercising.

Come to think of it, didn’t he once say he didn’t want to be seen as someone who seduces others with a hero’s image?

Even if it’s true that he likes to cling, when he pushes himself onto me like that, I can’t help but have improper thoughts…

“So, can you stand by yourself? Please tell me how it feels from your perspective.”

“I think I can.”

He says he can, but Zion is tightening his arms around my waist even more.

Still, since he said he can stand, I suppose I should have him try.

“Okay, Zion. If you’ve rested enough, let go of me, step back, and try to stand on your own. Got it?”

“Got it. Huh~”

Taking a deep breath, Zion slowly starts to pull away from me.

His hands release my waist, and for a moment, it looks like he’s trying to stand on his own without any support, but soon he starts to tremble all over.

“Are you okay? If it’s too hard, don’t force yourself…”

What? I’m definitely talking to Zion right now, but it seems like he isn’t looking this way at all.

“Zion?”

As I looked carefully, I noticed he was staring blankly into space with unfocused eyes.

Even when I called his name, Zion didn’t respond.

What’s happening? Is he panicking? A seizure? So suddenly and without warning? He just wanted to stand!

“Haah, haah…”

I thought maybe he was having a severe seizure, but Zion took a few rapid breaths, and then gradually collapsed to his knees, putting his hands on the floor and ending up in a prone position.

“Zion! Are you okay?”

I knelt beside Zion and immediately supported him, making him lie on his back and checking his condition.

With a dazed expression, Zion nestled into my arm, relaxing his whole body while looking up at me.

“Huh? What just happened to me…?”

“Nothing happened. You were just trying to stand, but it seems you got tired all of a sudden.”

“Is that so? I’m glad nothing happened.”

Hearing that nothing was wrong, Zion let out a small sigh of relief.

“But are you really okay?”

“Yeah, I just felt a bit dazed for a moment. Now I’m fine.”

Despite saying he’s okay, Zion still didn’t seem very clear-headed, occasionally trembling or suddenly glancing around as if he was still in distress.

Is he going through some confusion? Regardless, it looked like it would be best to let Zion rest.

“You look like you’re not okay at all.”

“Haha, is that so? Honestly, I’d like to say I’m doing this on purpose because I like being in your embrace… but somehow, I feel like my body is acting strange?”

“This isn’t the time for jokes, so let’s get you to rest. I’ll help you to your ward like this. Is that alright?”

“Of course, that’s fine. So, please do.”

I then lifted Zion in a princess carry and left the gym, heading to Room 104, where I laid him down.

“I’m sorry for worrying you.”

As I covered Zion with a blanket so he could rest comfortably, he looked up at me with a faint smile.

Concerned about Zion’s sudden strange state… and perhaps hoping he might regain some strength, I gently brushed his hair aside and placed a light kiss on his forehead.

“I’m fine, so you should rest easy.”

Fortunately, it seemed he felt better, as he turned a little red in the face and nodded softly.

Seeing cute Zion naturally brought out a smile from me, and after a moment of sharing smiles, I left Room 104.

At times like this, I wanted to stay all day and talk to him, but I still had consultations and work, and I would have to check on Zion’s condition later.

It would be great if it was just a sudden drop in condition…
