Jacky_: Is everyone okay with the company dinner this weekend?
Cheol-woo: I’m good with it.
Papijoa: I’m okay too.
Jacky_: Since the restaurant is in Seoul, can Ryu-a and Tex come up?
Tex: Let’s take the chance to explore Seoul. Since the viewers are from the countryside, they might let us take two days off if we say we’re having a company dinner.
Cheol-woo: Ryu-a is from Busan, and Tex is from Ulsan, right?
Tex: Yes, I’ll meet up and go together.
Cheol-woo: If we definitely go together, we won’t get lost.
Jacky_: You two meeting up to go together…
Papijoa: Oh dear…
Cheol-woo: I wasn’t picking up on hints. Kids these days are quick, haha.
Tex: What are you all thinking?
Ryu-a: It’s not like that!
Tex: Ryu-a said it was her first time going to Seoul, so we’re just going together.
Jacky_: A reliable older brother position…
Papijoa: ^^
Tex: Director, you were a couple’s fan; huh?
Ryu-a: ㅡㅡ^ Are we going to broadcast when we have our company dinner?
Cheol-woo: A casual stream? I’ve never done it before. Does anyone know how to?
Papijoa: If we stream, I might choke on my food.
Cheol-woo: It’s a company dinner meant to relax, so there’s no real reason to stream.
Tex: If we do stream, we can quickly show we gathered and end it. I don’t think anyone would want to watch us eat.
Jacky_: There are many people who don’t stream anyway, and as Tex said, they often just show their faces briefly and turn it off.
Cheol-woo: Then let’s do that.
Ryu-a: What’s our company dinner menu?? (Emoticon of a cute dog drooling)
Jacky_: I’ve prepared for a highly-rated upscale restaurant with a course meal.
Cheol-woo: The director must have put in some effort.
Tex: It’s been a long time… How long has it been since our last company dinner?
Papijoa: Are you trying to tease the director right now, Tex?
Jacky_: I’m sorryㅠㅠ the schedule…
Tex: Suddenly getting upset and saying that. No, I’m not saying that, director;;
Cheol-woo: Everyone’s busy, so it’s not easy to coordinate schedules. Tex and Ryu-a are coming from far away. We have to set this in advance.
Ryu-a: I’m really looking forward to it. It sounds delicious…
Jacky_: You can look forward to it.
Tex: Mollu hasn’t said anything; is she sleeping?
Papijoa: I’ll try to contact her separately.
Cheol-woo: Then, unless there are any special circumstances, let’s plan to meet this weekend.
“Yes, so this weekend we will not be streaming. Guys, please don’t flood the chat. You all kept asking if our team wasn’t having a company dinner. Where did all the prize money go? Why is it so late? Well, the only one who could take the initiative to plan was the director. Everyone’s busy, so it’s hard to find a schedule that works.”
“What’s the point of going up? We should be taking the train. Subway? How do you take the subway from Busan to Seoul? That’s nonsense… Suddenly, so many people come in. What? You heard it all from Ryu-a? What? That we’re going together… Why is she talking about that? It’s probably because she hasn’t been streaming for long. Look, look. It’s nothing, but saying something casually like this isn’t a good idea. I’m just going with her since it’s her first time in Seoul. I’m worried she’ll get lost.”
<Mollru donated 1000 won!>
– Are we raising Tex and Ryu-a?
“Raising? What are we raising? Even the director is a couple’s fan. No need for you guys to make it hard. Are you looking forward to a review stream after we get back? That’s a usual rule. But I’m not the person to tell entertaining stories. I strangely find there’s nothing to say. ‘The main event is ranking the female streamers by appearance, haha, that’s enough.’ Do you want to chat like that? I don’t mind being criticized, but if it’s the Twitch viewers, you know… there are consequences for that. But I do want to know what they look like in person. They’re all great people. We really got close during this practice. Our team was a weak team. Starting from a weak team, there’s a certain bond, right?”
[Seriously, I’m getting all nervous just watching.]
[It was nice to get absorbed into it.]
[Haha, it’s not that I want to meet the team members, it’s that I want to meet Ryu-a.]
[Seriously, haha.]
[The person I want to see…]
[Oh dear.]
[That’s it~]
[The art of pre-typing, haha.]
[Is everyone except Tex and Ryu-a from Seoul?]
[Cheol-woo, be careful. If you’re not careful, you’ll fall into a drum barrel.]
[I’m curious about everyone meeting.]
[Are you going to stream when you get there?]
“Broadcast? I probably won’t stream. It’s uncomfortable while eating. If we do, we’ll probably just greet briefly and turn it off, right? Loyalty to our viewers? No~~ would we really need to be uncomfortable at a company dinner? It would be awkward just among ourselves; we need time to get comfortable. If we also stream, the true nature won’t come out. There are some people who won’t turn on the camera either.”
Oh no.
Thinking he made a mistake after that last comment, Tex felt he had slipped up.
After all, anyone could tell that the comment about not turning on the camera was about Mollu.
Many people were curious about Mollu’s face, who was already a no-camera streamer, and thus this company dinner had garnered significant interest.
Tex had unknowingly offered bait, and they didn’t miss the chance.
<Mollu’s loyal dog donated 100,000 won!>
– Please take care of our Mollu… She’s a hikikomori and doesn’t know how to deal with people.
“Oh, yes. So, you’re a fan of Mollu. Thank you for the generous donation of 100,000 won. Mollu, is there anything I should take care of? You tend to take care of things on your own. I don’t think we need to worry?”
[Having things taken care of = she does whatever she wants.]
[Tex’s wall is strong. He’s not even looking at other girls.]
[Can you hear Ryu-a’s smile rising?]
[Please tone down the overexcitement.]
[Mollu is the only one not talking about the company dinner when everyone else is going.]
[Yeah~ it’s short notice~ no announcement~]
[The sadness of having to hear news from others… is this NTR?]
[That’s not the right term for that.]
[Is it not that Mollu actually isn’t going? She’s not saying anything!]
[She’s always been someone who doesn’t go out, but she would still attend a team dinner.]
[She’s not that lacking in social skills.]
[Did she receive the message?]
“For now, Papijoa said she would contact her separately. It seems like she’s sleeping now. It seems her daily routine has gotten quite messed up. She streamed too much during Dragon Lord? Wasn’t that a while back? The aftereffects are lingering? Hm… 10 hours, that’s a lot. But is that really the reason? Ah, she originally didn’t have great stamina. I see-.”
Papijoa: Mollu, are you sleeping?
Papijoa: If you wake up, please check Discord. We’ve set the date for our company dinner.
Papijoa: There’s no excuse for not attending! (Emoticon of an angry duck holding a hammer)
Papijoa: Just kidding, but if you have something going on, please let me know. Everyone will understand.
Mornings are always a struggle.
It feels almost embarrassing to call 11 AM morning, but I guess I’ll call it waking up instead.
I only recently realized that sleeping too long can make my head feel foggy.
From living a regular life as a social person to becoming Ji-eun and being indirectly forced into unemployment, I no longer had to wake up early.
This meant I also didn’t have to force myself to close my eyes at night.
Once the limits were lifted, I truly began sleeping whenever I was sleepy.
As a result, my lifestyle patterns became a mess.
I was not forcing myself to stay up all night or anything like that.
It was just that my sleeping hours shifted back by an hour.
From 1 AM to 2 AM, from 2 AM to 3 AM, from 3 AM to 4 AM…
In conclusion, I’ve reached a point where I just can’t wake up early in the morning.
Who would have thought that the one who once celebrated being able to sleep anytime would one day crave mornings?
What’s even sadder is that the later I go to bed, the more I end up sleeping.
I don’t even know why that is.
Even if I try to go to bed early, my biological clock has already adjusted, and I can’t fall asleep.
In fact, I wonder if I’m the only one in this 24-hour world who has adjusted to a 25-hour cycle.
But it wouldn’t change anything either way.
In a one-eyed village, a normal person with two eyes is just a monster.
A monster must find a way to live like a normal person.
I sought answers from the wise men of the all-knowing internet world but was told to either stay up all night or join the army.
The former was impossible for my weak body, and the latter… is something I’d rather not experience again.
Ultimately, the last solution was to keep pushing my sleep time back by an hour until I could go to bed at 10 PM, 11 PM, or 12 AM.
Just yesterday, I went to bed at 8 AM.
In two weeks, I should be able to sleep at 10 PM.
In the midst of this, the topic of the company dinner came up.
The company dinner, I should go. I need to go.
Considering I went to bed at 8 PM today and woke up at 7 PM, can I even go?
I was starting to understand the people who say they can’t even hear the alarm.
I was worried that I might end up saying I would go and then not show up, so I sent a message to Papijoa.
Mollru: Is the company dinner during lunch?
Not long after, a quick reply came back.
Papijoa: The exact time hasn’t been set yet, but why?
Mollru: I was wondering if we could do it in the evening, around 7 PM? Is that too late?
Papijoa: I don’t mind, but since Tex and Ryu-a are coming from far away, I don’t know if it’ll work. But why evening?
Mollru: The real party begins at night, you know.
Papijoa is typing a message…
Papijoa: Is that… so?
Seeing Papijoa, who can’t lie making an effort to go along with my nonsense, I thought to myself, I can’t just say I can’t get up for lunch.
