Chapter 15: The Ultimate Fun
“Man, this is way more fun than I thought.”
I was under the impression that being a Professional Gamer meant a decent status and some cash, but boy was I wrong.
“I don’t wanna eat this!”
“Aida, out there, lots of people are starving and would love a piece of bread. Quit whining.”
Aida, my younger sister, tossed the bread aside and burst into tears, while our father, Count Bradley Somerset, gave her a stern look.
I took a glance at the food laid out in front of me, realizing that the dining scene in a noble house might not be too different from an ordinary family.
On the table, there was a thin, unidentifiable soup and bread that felt like rocks.
Honestly, these weren’t appetizing even for a child.
Determined to eat, I tried to dip the bread into the soup, but as I broke it apart—
Crack!
Did I just hear wood splintering?

[Oh man, this is crazy funny!]
Author: Pass-Pass
Right now, I’m witnessing some extreme level of fun.
So, Friede, my older sister, went shopping with the formation crew and the editor, and it was like they met a lotus flower.
The vibe between the three girls glaring at Friede is definitely something else.
SisterEaterMidir: Hey Pass-Pass, wrap up your story and go hit on some girls.
Washbowl: Pass-Pass, you gay…
SweetGuy: Confirmed, Lotus Flower is out of her place, is that for real?
N_O_O: Why so serious, you dude? LOL
SisterEaterMidir: Pass-Pass, the gay dude is big news in the Pro Gamer scene.
KimCracker: We don’t stand a chance against them… @@
yaSergei: These crazy fools are seriously talking nonsense now.
SunlightSword: Friede hasn’t even shown her face. How would you know if she’s the real deal?
ZekeGaTerbelt: Even Forming is just a virtual reality customization; reality’s gotta look totally different.
“Ugh, you guys don’t believe a word I say.”
Pass-Pass was busy tapping away on his smartphone, smirking at the reactions.
I can’t say I blame him.
After all, she’s a mystique streamer who doesn’t even show her face.
Sure, her back and side have been slightly revealed, but compiling all the info released so far would still leave us with something resembling a ghost egg.
Of course, since she’s basically a goddess in her looks, people still cheer “Whoa!” even at just a glimpse of that ghost egg…
“It’s such a tragedy to miss this great opportunity…”
I wonder what she’d look like in real life compared to the flashy persona she shows in games.
I’d thought this was the perfect chance to fulfill that fantasy.
But what can I do?
I can’t just drop a video or photos here.
Even if I did, Da-young and the meanie Jisehee would never let it slide.
“Wait, what’s this?”
Upon refreshing, a hot topic popped up that was intriguing enough to catch Pass-Pass’s eye.
[If Friede and Opening Match Girl are the same person, then downvote! LOL]

Aren’t they looking too similar by now?
I’m first to agree, LOL!
“Ugh, such an old meme.”
Ah, that’s when I first saw Da-young and Jisehee.
Who would’ve thought I’d get so connected to someone I was just watching on a monitor?
Especially since we’re both Heroes, it feels like destiny.
SunlightSword: Huh, wait. Then can’t use that, student.
N_O_O: You think Opening Match Girl looks like a loser?
DustBunny: What about you? Do you think Friede looks like a loser?
Hope5555: LOL, just admit they’re the same person.
N_O_O: You guys are crazy! If you see Friede without makeup, she’d look like a scruffy, acne-riddled, rotting pile of goo!
yaSergei: Just accept they’re the same, will ya?
ZekeGaTerbelt: If Friede and Opening Match Girl are the same, that’s pretty epic, right?
SisterEaterMidir: How about I edit some pics of Opening Match Girl to make it look like Friede?
N_O_O: Hurry up and share it!
SunlightSword: This joker ripped on Friede, but now is acting all cool over here, LOL!
It’s a familiar scene, a typical comment section reaction.
Pass-Pass nodded along; he could understand their feelings.
So, are you all the same as me?
Curious to witness Friede’s true self revealed to the world?
He wanted to resonate with that anticipation.
He longed to shout from the rooftops that Opening Match Girl and Jisehee were the same person, but… it ended up as an empty echo in his heart.
He wished he could snap a certification shot right now, but both Da-young and Jisehee wouldn’t let him off the hook.
In a sense of helplessness, Pass-Pass gritted his teeth.
Ah, what a nuisance, my balls tremble with frustration.
But, never would he give up.
“One day, Jisehee will show her true face.”
Lost in thoughts of a sweet and radiant future, he felt a huge disconnect from reality striking him.
Tears of the era welled up in Pass-Pass’s eyes.

While Pass-Pass was busy scheming in his bag, the outside world was maintaining a tense atmosphere.
“So, that’s how it turned out.”
Sehee praised herself silently for her brief yet impactful explanation, marking the moment they learned how they knew about Friede… aka Jisehee the Streamer.
Chomp~.
“Hmm.”
Chompy~.
“Ah, I see now.”
Chomp~!
“……”
At this moment, Sehee couldn’t squeeze a word out and silently observed the ongoing conflict.
One little comment she hadn’t spoken yet kept swirling around in her mind.
The coffee she had bought, after getting it wrapped up again, was being ruthlessly consumed, defeating its purpose.
“I get the situation now. Thanks for explaining, sis. But there’s something that needs addressing.”
The first to break the silence was Da-young.
Seriously, that last dance protest in the Vlog didn’t sit well with her.
What kind of a situation is this, after all?
Wasn’t this supposed to be a date course, where they could soothe themselves, whether it’s a lotus flower or whatever?
Just as she was about to wrap things up feeling relieved, the source of her troubles appeared right before her, causing Da-young to grit her teeth involuntarily.
“Don’t you think it’s a bit too much to flaunt the fact that you competed against my sister just once? Isn’t that a nuisance disguised as socializing? Seeing you cling to her like that is pretty shameful.”
Out of everyone there, the one most shocked by Da-young’s words was A-jin.
Her eyes seemed to say, ‘What the… why is she so aggressive from the beginning?’
After all, she was on the same page with Da-young about the situation.
How dare this person pretend to know my beloved sister and whisper sweet nothings in her ear?
Having witnessed that with her own eyes, how could she process these bitter feelings?
However, the way Da-young confronted them looked too much like a one-trick assault, so even A-jin couldn’t help but be flabbergasted.
Da-young’s cold rebuke made veins bulge on Eun-ha’s forehead.
Without hesitating, Eun-ha shot back, “Is a relationship only established through multiple encounters? You’re thinking too excessively. With the right person, the number of times doesn’t matter.”
Placing her hands on her proudly protruding chest, Eun-ha slightly blushed and closed her eyes as she spoke.
“Feelings, emotions, senses… these genuine human relationships flourish not through statistical measures that depend on the number of encounters.”
—Smash!
Ah, Da-young bit down hard.
The glimmer in her eyes burned cold like a sculpted flame.
A-jin watched nervously.
No way… they won’t end up pulling each other’s hair, right?
Overwhelmed by the atmosphere, A-jin remained speechless, and her gaze silently signaled Da-young to wrap it up.
She was urging her to put a stop to it.
And speaking of hitting the jackpot, isn’t that what they say?
Not long after, Da-young regained her cool through a deep breath and gulped down some coffee to quench her thirst.
The fragrant taste of cold coffee flowed down her throat, finally clearing her mind.
‘So annoying.’
What was with that bewildered look on her face?
The meeting between the Lotus Flower and Sister Sehee didn’t turn out particularly well.
Even if it was just an event competition, losing in front of a Professional Gamer could tarnish reputations.
That sister of hers, wielding the Broken Greatsword in the duel, and the Lotus Flower’s devastating defeat, brought humiliation to her.
Just showing a look like that toward someone who just embarrassed her was utterly ridiculous in Da-young’s eyes.
Right now, she perceived that Lotus Flower—Chaeyun really was just another typical clinger, caught up in Friede’s looks, just like the toxic slime that overflows in the streaming scene.
“I never thought the Lotus Flower would cling to a mere streamer like this. It’s dangerous playing around like this while being a Pro Gamer; she might just have a serious consequence…”
The coffee cup wobbled as Da-young locked eyes with Eun-ha.
“And isn’t it unfair to your team to hang around during the off-season?”
With words colder than the ice in her coffee, Da-young pierced Eun-ha with her stare, causing Eun-ha to chuckle.
“Oh my! You call her a mere streamer after seeing Sehee? Are you saying she’s inferior…?”
“……!”
“Her nickname, Forming. General game streamer. I hear she was doing pretty well before going dark, but now she’s just a washed-up streamer. From what I found, it looks like she might have leached off my sister a lot, huh? Isn’t she the one being a burden instead?”
“…Say that again.”
“Whoa, whoa. Let’s stop right there. You both are not here to fight, right?”
Sehee jumped in to mediate because she had no desire to add more fuel to the ongoing controversy surrounding Friede’s broadcast.
If this kept up, the café would probably get wrecked.
[“Ugh, you fools, this is so funny. This is the definition of SEX! BOOM!”]
Da-young ground her teeth at Eun-ha’s retorts and Pass-Pass’s nonsensical comments flowing telepathically.
To think it would be so tragic not to be able to unleash her wrath on Pass-Pass while worrying about appearances!
But…
“My sister said to stop.”
Well, she had no choice now but to halt.
“It feels too good to finish now, and there’s still time left. Since we all met like this….”
Both Da-young and Eun-ha took a step back, gesturing for Sehee to continue.
“Let’s build some camaraderie….”
Pausing for a moment, she smiled brightly.
“How about we have a match?”
Suddenly, the other three tilted their heads in confusion.
A match…?
What are we matching for?
