It was the moment when I killed 20 users who entered the Demon Fortress.
After counting the coins I had gathered, I realized I had over 5,000 of them.
It was about time to head outside and spend the coins.
The way to escape the Demon Fortress was simple.
Instead of using a Return Stone, one had to walk on their own two feet towards the castle gate.
Only then could I safeguard the coins I held from the Demon Fortress.
If I used the Return Stone, all the coins would disappear, reacting to the mana embedded in the stone.
That was the setting.
I cautiously walked upward from the dark basement, scanning my surroundings.
Having passed a lot of time, there were now many users in the Demon Fortress, so I had to be careful too.
The Thief Users hiding in the dark corners were just too sneaky.
Though I was being careful, I wasn’t completely cowering.
Before stepping out of here, I was the Demon Lord.
After walking for some time, the castle gate of the Demon Fortress came into view.
Right in front of the gate was a portal that could take me out of here. Using that portal would mean an immediate exit.
But it was precisely at the last moment that one needed to be cautious.
I squinted my eyes and stared at the area surrounding the portal.
There had to be someone. Someone dastardly waiting to ambush users trying to leave with their coins.
Perhaps it wasn’t just an ambush. I licked my lips and drew my sword.
I sensed human presence, sharpened by my acute instincts.
I could hear the faint sound of clothing rustling from slight movements and felt the ripples from the blood pooling at my feet.
Every indication told me there were enemies nearby.
“I see you!”
I am the Demon Lord.
I must act like one.
With a fierce shout, I reached out, and my black clawed hand shot out, grabbing nothing but air.
In that moment, a Thief who had been hiding in stealth was pulled towards me.
“Y-you crazy cheater!”
“You sneaky little brat! How dare you target the Demon Lord!”
Crack!
The swiftly swung sword surged with black magic, severing the Thief’s arm.
Just at the last moment, the Thief twisted, preventing a clean beheading.
But that didn’t matter. In the very next moment, the sword, swinging through the air, pierced the Thief’s neck at a strange angle.
Thud!
“Ugh…”
The fallen Thief User began to thrash about with all his might.
But with his weak stat, he couldn’t escape me.
I placed my hand on the Thief’s head and used Life Absorption.
Whoosh—
“Remember this. The one who took you down is the Demon Lord.”
“Y-you crazy bitch…”
The Thief User faded to grey, leaving behind his last words.
At that instant, a shower of red coins poured out from where he had fallen.
“Gah…”
That’s more than I expected. It looked like about 500 coins, just by a glance.
How many users did this rotten Thief stab in the back?
I vowed to use these coins for something worthwhile.
I swept the blood-stained coins into my inventory.
Though I felt prying eyes from a distance, no one seemed ready to jump me right now.
I turned and made my way out of the Demon Fortress.
With a bright light, the map changed.
I was bouncily thrown out to the safe zone, in front of the Demon Fortress.
In that moment, I felt intense gazes from all around.
It was brief, but I could sense the familiar feeling held in those gazes.
The people I had slain were waiting here.
Were they seeking revenge on their killer? They wouldn’t find me, though.
The ‘me’ back there was completely different from the ‘me’ here.
I stood with my arms crossed, slightly turning my head.
Yet, those gazes didn’t leave me.
At that moment, a bright light revealed a Knight User beside me.
He appeared on the ground, looking as though he had just been killed.
He must have been bounced out after dying to another user.
Could it be that those who were killed and bounced out looked like this?
I cautiously opened my mouth, glancing at the others’ reactions.
I doubted anyone would believe me trying to play dead now.
“D-Demon Lord… a strong opponent…”
I mumbled quietly, my eyes lowered.
Anyone looking would think I was recalling a truly powerful enemy.
My act was perfect, but somehow, they didn’t seem convinced.
I cleared my throat and kept my mouth shut.
“Hmm…”
“Uh, Demon Lord…?”
In that moment, I nearly answered with a “yes.”
But I quickly covered my mouth with superhuman reflexes to prevent myself from making a mistake.
They were sharp folks.
I turned my body. Here, I wasn’t the Demon Lord but Yeo.
So I knew nothing.
“Seems right, doesn’t it?”
“Who else could be that small?”
I overheard the chatter among the people as I bought items from the coin merchant.
Using 5000 coins, I purchased an Armor Selection Box.
The appearance didn’t really matter. After all, I could just overlay it with the look of other items.
The overall specs of the item weren’t significantly worse compared to 45-rank raid equipment.
The only difference from raid gear was that it came with PVP-exclusive options instead of PVE ones.
Ignoring the users whispering behind me, I checked the time.
It was nearing the promised 10 o’clock.
I quickly logged off the game.

While Yeo was passionately immersed in her Demon Lord role, the content of the Demon Fortress was enough to attract people’s attention.
It was a place where you couldn’t recognize each other. The moment you stepped out, you’d become a completely different person, meaning it was a perfect place to release all the sinister desires one had kept bottled up.
Users headed towards the Demon Fortress as if it were a promise.
To enter the Demon Fortress, one needed an item called the Invitation to the Demon Fortress, so the elite hunting grounds became crowded with many people.
But that too was only for a short while. While carrying out the side quests in hell, users learned that they could meet the Demon Clan merchant NPC and buy an Invitation to the Demon Fortress for gold.
Users who had rushed to the elite zone immediately sprinted toward the Demon Clan merchant NPC.
If they could buy invitations with gold, there was no reason to fight in narrow hunting grounds.
In this way, many users began to enter the Demon Fortress.

[What the hell, who is this Demon Lord?] [5]
(Sad frog meme)
I’ve collected 500 Demon Fortress coins, but got shanked from behind and I’m dead;;;
Before I died, I was told, “Remember this. The one who took you down is the Demon Lord.” LOL.
Is your nickname really Demon Lord?

[Who is this Demon Lord?]
As more people sought out the Demon Fortress, reports about encounters with a user who called themselves “Demon Lord” began to accumulate.
Everyone dropped all their coins, fuming, but what could they do? The Demon Fortress was inherently such a content.
As tales of the so-called Demon Lord continued to rise, threads began to surface speculating the identity of that user.
[Could that Demon Lord perhaps be a schoolgirl?] [22]

When you enter the Demon Fortress, your entire appearance changes randomly, but your height remains unchanged.
Even if you compare other screenshots, they all have the same body type.
The only things that change are the equipment appearance and the character’s looks, along with their voice.

Look at this, a character that small is running around with a Berserker effect?
I can only think of one person, though?

Isn’t it pretty much the same? LOL.

As the identity of the Demon Lord became half-confirmed, around 9:50 PM, a new post went up.
The short video attached to that post quickly gained traction and became a hot topic.
The content in the video was shocking enough to warrant that.
[Our gallery lord is the Demon Lord LOL LOL LOL] [52]
(The video)
The start of the video captured the entrance of the Demon Fortress.
The user filming seemed to be chatting with nearby users, and his voice could be heard.
At that moment, with a bright light, a user appeared right in front of the Demon Fortress.
[Invincible]
[Soft & Chewy Cow]
[Yeo]
Those who have experienced the Demon Fortress would know.
If you died and came out, you would be thrown out in your last form.
But Yeo stood there on her own two feet.
That meant, she wasn’t dead but had walked out herself.
The surrounding users began to murmur at the sight of Yeo.
Yeo too seemed to be aware of the attention, folding her arms and narrowing her eyes to observe.
In that instant, another user appeared beside Yeo in a flicker of light.
He lay flat on the ground, signifying he had come out dead.
Only then did Yeo realize the difference between her and the other users, and hurriedly opened her mouth.
“D-Demon Lord… strong opponent…”
It was awkward. To anyone, it looked really awkward.
That sudden comment seemed like she was declaring herself the Demon Lord.
In that moment, one user nearby shouted at Yeo.
“Demon Lord!”
That was the moment Yeo’s mouth slightly opened.
Her small arm went up to cover her mouth.
That action spoke volumes. It meant she was the one who mercilessly murdered users while playing the Demon Lord inside the fortress.
But Yeo slickly played dumb, bought an equipment box with her Demon Fortress coins, and vanished.
