Chapter 367: Myriad Thunder Stirring.
“Hoo!”
The Golden Lion flipped its body and roared, slightly retreating as if it had the notion to flee, but Jié Jié would naturally not let this guy escape again. With a flap of its wings, it soared high into the sky.
Seeing the Extinction Dragon take off, the Golden Lion no longer hesitated and turned tail, running to escape both the death dive range and move to the next area.
Jié Jié’s target wasn’t the Golden Lion itself; hovering mid-air, he directly charged towards the direction above where the Golden Lion was fleeing.
“Boom!”
The rock layer shattered on impact, sending clouds of dust collapsing downwards, effectively blocking the Golden Lion’s escape route.
At this moment, the Fire Dragons arrived, pouncing on the Golden Lion. Each diving claw strike made the Golden Lion increasingly irritated.
Attempting to swat away the Fire Dragons with its hands, it only ended up being dragged into the air. Clutching onto the claws, it managed to climb back up, delivering a punch to the abdomen of the Male Fire Dragon.
“Roar!”
Porcelain Bowl howled in pain, flinging the clutched Golden Lion towards Big Brother Iron Pot.
The Golden Lion also kicked off, completely causing Porcelain Bowl to crash onto the ground before turning around and pouncing on Iron Pot.
Iron Pot was already prepared. A single claw caught the Golden Lion, and before it could counterattack, Iron Pot initiated a dive towards the rock wall, directly smashing it against the wall.
After two consecutive impacts, any calm thoughts of escape vanished instantly. Under the grasp of the Male Fire Dragon’s claws, it roared furiously, emitting even more intense lightning light, smashing the leg armor of Iron Pot with a punch, breaking free from the claws and scrambling along the rock wall.
A thunderball spewed from its mouth, striking Iron Pot out of the air.
After spitting out one thunderball, it paused briefly before unleashing two more, knocking Female Fire Dragon Basin out of the sky. The final thunderball shot toward Jié Jié who was observing the Extinction Dragon on the ground.
The thunderball exploded on its wings. Jié Jié shook his wings, and that slight pain dissipated entirely.
Meanwhile, the king of toothed beasts transformed into a ball of lightning rolling towards him.
Jié Jié raised his wings as a shield, then surged forward with a shield charge, sending the Golden Lion flying to the corner. It should have fallen flat, but its arms braced against the wall, golden light flickering in its mouth.
“Hoo!”
Brilliant beams of lightning washed over the wings of the Extinction Dragon, sweeping across the entire area, successfully clearing all the spines from its wings.
But Jié Jié endured the light cannon, shattering the ground step by step, pushing through despite the astonished gaze of the Golden Lion, charging right up close, and with a swing of his wing, sent it flying far away.
Rolling repeatedly on the ground, the Golden Lion finally struggled to rise, glaring fiercely at the Extinction Dragon.
Upon landing, the Fire Dragon spat a fireball, exploding upon its body, scorching its fur until it was charred and blackened.
But the Golden Lion didn’t falter. Its arm muscles became even more defined, bones crackling audibly, even the wounds tightening under the strain ceased bleeding.
The king of toothed beasts stood tall on its remaining horn, galloping madly like a raging bull, charging straight for Jié Jié.
Jié Jié stared intently at the head of the Golden Lion, locking eyes with it, lifting his own claw.
The massive body staggered backward under the blow, but that claw gripped something tightly, surging forward with renewed strength.
The head of the Golden Lion was slammed directly into the ground, its horn snapping under the heavy blow. Its reddened arms gripped Jié Jié’s arm tightly, grinding all the spines to pieces.
But even so, it couldn’t make him release his grip.
He grabbed the head of the Golden Lion, thrusting forcefully forward, plowing its body through the ground, scraping against the molten lava. The golden lightning trailed behind, creating a fissure of thunder that erupted magma beneath.
When Jié Jié released his claw, the arms of the Golden Lion lost their strength, its chest heaving heavily, its eyes gazing faintly at the Extinction Dragon before it.
The golden horn was skillfully held between his fingers, precisely piercing deep into the wound in its chest, deeper than the blue horn, feeling the rapidly beating heart of the Golden Lion.
That heart beat like thunder, extraordinarily resilient, requiring even more force.
But before Jié Jié could exert more force, the heart bulged toward the tip of the horn, bursting open.
The ruptured heart pumped out large amounts of blood, and the Golden Lion closed its eyes in confusion.
With the imposing thunder dissipating, the mighty beast reverted to a humble black creature, lying there like a sleeping cow.
The bloodied golden horn was carefully retrieved and crushed between his teeth, opening the chest of the Golden Lion, extracting the still quivering heart.
Licking it, he swallowed it whole, tearing off some meat chunks and swallowing them down.
The Fire Dragons approached, sniffing around the carcass of the Hammerburst Dragon killed by the Golden Lion. When they looked back, the Extinction Dragon had vanished, leaving only the Golden Lion standing beside the corpse.
Not particularly startled, the Fire Dragons were already desensitized, merely approaching to sniff and identify Jié Jié’s new scent.
“Wow!”
Transformed into the Golden Lion, Jié Jié flexed his arms, making each hair stand on end.
Tensing his muscles further, it seemed like these muscles could be tightened even more?
Both arms turned red, steam rising, and he could hear his heartbeat like thunder, his hair standing on end with flashes of golden lightning.
The special current of the Thunder Wolf Dragon, the gold lightning of the Golden Thunder King, the voltage of the Thunder Jaw Dragon, the current of the Sea Dragon, and the discharge of the Abyssal Wave Dragon—his entire body felt brimming with power.
This muscular physique was naturally designed for electrical signals!
Raising and lowering his arm, lightning patterns akin to those in the clouds burst forth on the ground. In an instant, the ground was torn apart by myriad thunder, obliterating obstacles ahead with a golden tidal wave of lightning.
After the ground split, magma surged upward.
“Roar!”
The Fire Dragons were startled.
“What the hell!”
Jié Jié was equally surprised, looking at his own arm. His palm involuntarily stretched with the muscle contraction, feeling… the urge to tear something.
Taking a few steps forward, the ground crumbled under his grip, igniting a series of flames from the firestones.
Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he needed to go find Nana next.
— Meanwhile —
Nana strolled through the lava world. The environment of the Firefield and Dragon Crystal Land seamlessly merged together, indistinguishable from each other.
She hadn’t seen or found any trace of that beast, but she wasn’t in a rush to turn back and look for her Flame King Dragon.
As an Ancient Dragon, they don’t rely on each other, and their sense of time allows for much greater separation tolerance. Even if Jié Jié wandered off for a few years, she wouldn’t think he left her for good.
Breaking off some burning coal from the wall to feed on, she smashed open mineral veins, rummaging through the ores. She was heading in the direction of the most abundant geothermal energy, paying no heed to whether it might be the nesting site of the Flame King Dragon couple.
Before encountering the Flame King Dragon couple who should have been patrolling their territory, she first came across the Extinction Dragon searching for something.
Meeting unexpectedly, they stared at each other.
Enemies meeting, hatred flared red.

When you see a mighty male fire dragon soaring through the sky, you can't confidently say it’s truly a fire dragon—because it might have been a rare silver fire dragon before you noticed it.
If you suspect it was a silver fire dragon, it could have been a spinosaurus even earlier.
When someone tells you it was once a spinosaurus, you still can’t be sure—because before others saw it, it might have been an elder extinction dragon.
You may feel certain it’s a flying dragon by now, yet you can't assert that either—because underground where you can't see, it might actually be an ancient mountain dragon.
So, what is it really?
In the beginning,
It was just a hairy spider.
