Chapter 366: Instantaneous No-Lag Eight-Trigram Fist!
Energy Perception could only detect the dazzling and chaotic energy trails, until the perception was aided by sight when the collapsed rubble ahead was shattered, making everything in front crystal clear.
Energy radiates heat, often accompanied by light; the cave before them was blindingly bright.
Cobalt lightning rolled across the ground, golden thunderballs exploded everywhere, and magma volcanoes erupted from punches so powerful they shook the earth.
Qí Lín’s neighs, Golden Lion’s roars, Sui Long’s angered bellow filled the cavern.
The loss of its crown-horn did not hinder Qí Lín’s control over thunder; instead, the azure lightning rained down like a storm, creating Rolling Thunders far more dangerous than before.
The awakened king of the牙兽种 rampaged freely, every punch into the ground releasing a colossal wave of lightning, and every flip in the air spitting out ball-shaped lightning bolts.
Golden and cobalt lightning clashed repeatedly. Qí Lín moved as fast as lightning itself, each time it flickered leaving behind a Rolling Thunder piercing through Golden Lion.
Sui Long braced itself, charging through the molten rock toward Golden Lion who had just been struck.
Jié Jié raised his wings to block the incoming ray of golden lightning, his vision wavering slightly, but he thought their coordination wasn’t bad.
Seeing the ground increasingly covered with magma where one couldn’t step, Golden Lion flared its nostrils, excitement fading as reason returned. It then clawed at the rock wall and ran toward another cave entrance.
Golden Lion changed zones.
“Here! Here!”
Jié Jié called out, moving aside and raising his wings, beckoning the battered Qí Lín and Sui Long over.
Sui Long let out a cautious roar, but seeing Qí Lín stride through the magma unharmed, followed suit. Its gaze constantly assessed Flame King Dragon nearby, then “huffed” a breath from its nose, squatting near the corner.
Qí Lín glanced at Sui Long without speaking, merely nodding to Jié Jié. When Jie Jie’s gaze fell on his broken horn, was it concern?
Jié Jié was merely wondering what Qí Lín’s broken horn might taste like.
If he ever met an unfamiliar Qí Lín who didn’t communicate well, he would definitely break it off to taste!
Thinking this way, Qí Lín didn’t linger, dashing out of the cave exit alone, somewhat lonely.
Looking at his back, then at the long-unseen Sui Long, Jie Jie approached cautiously.
Sui Long retreated slightly, lifting its fists in a defensive stance, but then saw Flame King Dragon transform into a much larger Sui Long.
Caught off guard, it got tapped on the head and pushed toward the direction Qí Lín left.
“Hurry up and chase!”
Sui Long indeed chased after, though it wasn’t clear if it fully understood.
The Fire Dragons watching Sui Long all stepped aside. Even Porcelain Bowl stretched its wings mimicking Jie Jie tapping Sui Long’s head, prompting Iron Pot to follow suit.
Sui Long grew alert, humming softly as it pressed against the wall and walked out.
It was time to find Golden Lion.
Crossing the Lava Pool and walking through this severely damaged cave, the tracks of Golden Lion on the ground were different from before, surrounded by the pressure of exploding thunder.
Moving forward, the awakened King of Toothed Beasts seemed overly excited, kicking any Bone Tomb it passed and even biting any plants it encountered.
Battle senses flared again—Golden Lion had clearly found a new monster to fight.
Quickening his pace to the next large cave, there lay the Sparkling Wheel Dragon flipped onto the ground.
Golden Lion leapt high into the air and slammed down heavily, the Great Wasteland Meteor breaking the Sparkling Wheel Dragon’s shell, eliciting a powerless cry. Another flurry of punches from the King of Toothed Beasts sent it crashing down lifelessly.
Its ox-like tail swiped once, extinguishing the golden thunder. Golden Lion used both arms to tear apart the corpse for feeding.
“Roar!!!”
At this moment, Jie Jie clenched his fists, his shell folding into scales, white spikes piercing through and standing upright.
“Huh?”
Golden Lion, who was tearing flesh to eat, turned its head, glaring at Jie Jie with fiery red eyes.
“Roar Roar Roar Roar Wow!!!”
Golden Lion stood upright, pounding its scarred chest with both arms, reopening wounds that started bleeding again.
Golden light enveloped its body anew, its arms reddening and hardening, steam rising continuously.
Perhaps it had encountered the Extinction Dragon in the Dragon Crystal Land before, and upon seeing it, immediately assumed its most formidable stance, leaping high again to deliver an earth-shattering blow.
This move was easy to dodge with techniques like Observation Slash or Iaijutsu Counter Claw, but even with low health, the counter-claw attack still packed a punch.
Now, it was time for a direct clash!
Jie Jie stood upright, claws tearing into the ground as he tilted his head upward, facing Golden Lion’s Great Wasteland Meteor with a strike from below.
“Bang!”
Golden Lion was hurled backward, landing with a crash, its red arms bearing deep claw marks.
“Really tough.”
He shook his claws, intense pain coursing through them. Looking down, he saw his nails bent back with blood seeping out.
But when he lifted his claws again, the wounds had healed, his nails replaced with newer, harder Adamantine Claws.
Meanwhile, the risen Golden Lion clutched its arm, roaring furiously as it pounded the ground with its fist, unleashing a torrent of golden waves of lightning that surged toward the Extinction Dragon.
The Ground-Splitting Lightning Release known only by the impassioned Golden Lion.
Carefully observing Golden Lion, its tail was intact, but the golden lightning dispersed wildly just the same, showing the newly awakened King of Toothed Beasts’ overwhelming momentum.
Jie Jie also slammed his fist into the ground, stone waves rising, and the thorns on his arms burst forth.
The Ground-Splitting Lightning Release and the stone waves shattered each other. Then Golden Lion raised its arm, striking with a Black Tiger Heart-Grab technique.
Jie Jie showed no fear, tightening his muscles and bending inward, snapping the thorns forward.
Golden Lion paused momentarily, raising its arm to shield its eyes. Once the thorns cleared, it lifted the other fist for a second Black Tiger Heart-Grab.
What awaited it was Jie Jie’s meticulously prepared—
Instantaneous No-Lag Eight-Trigram Fist!
Claws clenched tightly, sweeping horizontally left and right, interrupting Golden Lion’s Black Tiger Heart-Grab. Punch after punch sent it reeling backward, arms covered in wounds.
Due to the instantaneous nature, the start of the Eight-Trigram Fist was rather weak, allowing Golden Lion some room to defend, but it grew stronger with each swing, eventually blasting it away.

When you see a mighty male fire dragon soaring through the sky, you can't confidently say it’s truly a fire dragon—because it might have been a rare silver fire dragon before you noticed it.
If you suspect it was a silver fire dragon, it could have been a spinosaurus even earlier.
When someone tells you it was once a spinosaurus, you still can’t be sure—because before others saw it, it might have been an elder extinction dragon.
You may feel certain it’s a flying dragon by now, yet you can't assert that either—because underground where you can't see, it might actually be an ancient mountain dragon.
So, what is it really?
In the beginning,
It was just a hairy spider.
