Chapter 364: Qí Lín.
The Golden Lion and the Sui Long were not of immense size, yet their strides were powerful and nimble.
As the Golden Lion pounced, the Sui Long’s fist struck the ground, its body spinning sideways in a slight evasion.
Using the ground as an axis, the fist rose like a missile, colliding with the airborne Golden Lion and sending it flying.
With a flip, the Golden Lion quickly climbed up, raising its palm to touch the impacted chest and abdomen. It rubbed off some red slime mold which exploded upon contact with its fingertips.
“Roar!!!”
Facing a formidable opponent, the Golden Lion grew increasingly excited.
The Sui Long responded with a growl, leaping high and swinging its fist down towards the Golden Lion.
The ground shattered, slime exploding outward but missing the pitch-black monster.
Though small, this creature, seemingly no larger than a small monster, was unmistakably genuine, evidenced by the corpse of the Magma Dragon and the aggressive emotions exchanged through their lines of sight.
With half its head lowered beneath its arms, the Sui Long’s vigilant gaze scanned the area before charging again at the side-jumping Golden Lion.
The Golden Lion ended its observation, deciding to personally test its strength, dodging the dangerous slime-covered fists and striking the hardened red knuckles against the deep blue shell of the Sui Long.
The slime mold covering the Sui Long’s shell exploded, causing it to stagger back but quickly stepping forward with another punch aimed at the similarly staggering Golden Lion.
“Bang!”
The red fist collided with the red arm, hard objects clashing.
Another fist fell, but was still blocked by the Golden Lion’s arm.
These arms nearly made up half the Golden Lion’s body, allowing it to withstand frontal pressure and defend against attacks from the side.
Moreover, when the clenched fists loosened, the positions shifted.
While the arms defended, the hand found an opening, gripping the Sui Long’s fist. The Golden Lion then used its shoulder to slam into the side, attempting to knock the beast-dragon over.
Staggering, the Sui Long chose to prioritize the power in its thighs, bending the second joint of its legs almost to a fold, ensuring a stable base to resist the Golden Lion’s pressure.
Then, using both arms, it tried to break free and counterattack the Golden Lion.
A bit of saliva dripped, the red hue of the slime on the fists becoming more perilous, sizzling where it touched the Golden Lion’s hands.
“Boom!”
Under the explosive impact, the Golden Lion retreated, only to see the Sui Long charging with a series of punches.
Clutching its fists, it glanced sideways and directly ran towards the cave wall, creating cracks for climbing, scaling it as if it were flat ground.
“Roar! Roar Roar Roar Roar!!”
Flipping its body, it stamped its legs, and there the Golden Lion’s arms rose above its head, gripping together into a massive fist, like a black star descending!
A direct hit on the Sui Long’s back armor, which, being the hardest part, resisted severe damage, but confirmed the Golden Lion had climbed onto its spine.
The rough black-furred hands crushed the slime mold, sizzling loudly, gripping tightly as it leaped, grabbing hold of the missile-like head crest of the Sui Long.
“Grunt!”
The Sui Long roared, straining and shaking its body, initiating a headbutt towards the ground, but the Golden Lion’s arms hardened, gripping even tighter as the Sui Long struggled.
Even amidst violent shaking, it couldn’t find an opening for attack; its other hand firmly gripped the uneven shell, refusing to let go despite the Sui Long’s efforts.
The Sui Long continued to roar angrily, decisively charging towards the lava pool, stepping through the molten rock and ramming its back into the lava-filled stone wall.
“Roar Roar Roar! Roar!”
The lava pool below truly startled the Golden Lion, but the lava-covered stone wall provided an opportunity. Its legs landed on the wall just before the Sui Long, allowing it to leap first.
The scorching lava only caused the Golden Lion pain but didn’t hinder its strength.
With a mighty stomp, one arm exerted force while the hand gripping the shell loosened, forming a fist that preemptively hammered the Sui Long out of the lava pool.
“Roar Roar Roar Roar!!!”
The Golden Lion’s call grew louder, having endured the searing lava, its howls becoming wilder as it pounced onto the fallen Sui Long.
Heavy punches repeatedly slammed onto the Sui Long’s body, preventing it from rising, forcing it to secretly accumulate strength.
But the Golden Lion wouldn’t allow it such ease. After a barrage of strikes, only small cracks appeared on the shell, too shallow for fingers to penetrate, so its gaze shifted to the Sui Long’s head crest.
Some instinct awakened alongside the deepest potential of its body.
Its fur stood on end, the Golden Lion howling as it approached.
Swinging its arm, just as the Sui Long was about to rise, it was swung back down.
Circling the Sui Long’s neck, the other hand firmly gripped the missile-like head crest, beginning to exert force.
The observing eyes could no longer bear it, responding with a snort, followed by the thunderous hooves of galloping lightning.
The Golden Lion’s fur bristled with static electricity as it stared at the long-awaited figure.
Qí Lín coldly eyed the Golden Lion, having observed for quite some time, with no intention of appearing before it.
Being underground, he couldn’t summon heavenly thunder, only using the Rolling Thunder learned at Coral Land Plateau, greatly limiting his Shùn Yí distance. Facing the Golden Lion, he was at a natural disadvantage.
Whether the Sui Long lost or fell, he imagined it wouldn’t be easily killed by the Golden Lion. But when he saw the Golden Lion attempting to break its head crest, he couldn’t help but sneer.
Another snort, and a gray thunder covered his body, thick mane fluffing up, moving without wind.
Another stamp of hooves, the sound of thunder echoed through the cave, brightening the dim red environment.
Lightning parallel to the ground traced paths, followed by intersecting lightning nets that pierced through the running Golden Lion.
The Golden Lion stiffened, falling to the ground, but instantly rose, shaking off the effects.
“Roar Roar Roar Roar!”
It became even more excited.
Indeed, even heavenly thunder couldn’t calm the Golden Lion, and Rolling Thunder couldn’t do better.
To truly defeat the Golden Lion, it seemed a battle of horns was necessary.
Either his horn would pierce through that heart with thunder, ending the Golden Lion’s life here,
Or his horn would be broken, awakening the dark beast before him into the true King of Fang Beasts.
However—
“Roar Roar Roar Roar Roar!!!”
The flipped Sui Long rose again, taking large steps, raining heavy punches and slime.
The momentarily rigid Golden Lion was directly struck and rolled away, crashing in front of Qí Lín.
“Neigh!”
The majestic phantom beast raised its upper body high, its hooves glowing with lightning as they descended, trampling the Golden Lion’s body fiercely.
The Golden Lion’s body softened, but the hardened red arms emitted strong steam, gripping the ground and flinging itself away.
Rolling once on the ground and rising, the Golden Lion panted slightly, glaring intently at the Sui Long and Qí Lín.
The focus, however, remained on Qí Lín.

Monster Life Starting from Collecting Materials
Status: Ongoing
When you see a mighty male fire dragon soaring through the sky, you can't confidently say it’s truly a fire dragon—because it might have been a rare silver fire dragon before you noticed it.
If you suspect it was a silver fire dragon, it could have been a spinosaurus even earlier.
When someone tells you it was once a spinosaurus, you still can’t be sure—because before others saw it, it might have been an elder extinction dragon.
You may feel certain it’s a flying dragon by now, yet you can't assert that either—because underground where you can't see, it might actually be an ancient mountain dragon.
So, what is it really?
In the beginning,
It was just a hairy spider.
