Chapter 340: Please enjoy the electrified waterbed.
Whether they had rashly intruded or were enveloped by the Flame King Dragon’s fiery field, it no longer mattered at this point.
With the ocean as a barrier, the ships might not catch fire, but the air was scorching and blurred. Everyone on board felt an oppressive blockage.
Of the more than ninety members on the three large ships, sixty percent were technicians, while the rest included supply and logistics personnel—ordinary people.
Hunters could resist high temperatures with their physical prowess, but ordinary people couldn’t; most of them immediately showed signs of heatstroke.
Dizziness, blurred vision, consciousness slowly being stripped away by the high temperature.
“Those who can still move, give it your all! Drag the severely affected ones inside!”
The leader of the second phase team shouted loudly. The craftsmen among the team, long accustomed to forging in front of burning coal stones, had some tolerance for high temperatures. At this moment, aside from the hunters, they were the only ones who could still act.
“There’s still some ice crystals on the ship! Mix cold drinks! Quickly!”
“We also have some heat-resistant protective stones, but they’re on the second ship. Hopefully, they’ll remember to use them.”
The young Dragon Person touched his protective stone and fastened it onto the body of a teammate. His Dragon Person constitution allowed him to endure a bit more.
To deal with various situations in the New Continent, they had prepared some finished protective stones and accessories, never imagining they’d need them so soon.
“You, you, you, and you, there are more important tasks for you. I’ll steer the ship; you handle the sails!”
Looking around, he noticed no one was controlling the sails, and the ship wasn’t showing any significant change in direction. The team leader instantly realized the situation.
There was a shortage of personnel driving and steering the ship, so he ran along the side deck towards the helm, glancing at the other two ships’ conditions as he went.
One ship hadn’t yet collapsed and was following the initial order to retreat.
“Very good.”
Upon reaching the helm, he saw the helmsman dazed and unable to operate it. He shoved him aside and sharply swung the wheel.
The sails adjusted, and the ship began to turn!
But that required time, and the actual situation hadn’t improved effectively—it had even become more critical.
Because… sparks were coming.
If the Flame King Dragon’s dust didn’t explode, it would fly around in the hot wind, burning in the air like sparks.
These little sparks, harmless to humans like embers from burning paper money, could ignite any flammable material they encountered, crossing barriers and transforming the area into the Flame King Dragon’s fiery field.
From the appearance of the fiery field to someone collapsing, it took less than a minute for the second phase team. And it had only been three minutes since the ships completed their adjustments.
This, however, was just the aftermath of the ancient dragons’ battle, something Jié Jié witnessed for the first time. He realized how much control over elemental abilities ancient dragons could exert on ordinary people.
Humans are fragile, but united.
In those three minutes, Jié Jié also evaluated the current situation.
Strong winds filled the sails, blowing the sparks back before they could reach the sails, but the heat remained.
The high temperature was suppressed by his ability to control temperature, flowing toward him and gathering, but the source of the radiant heat continued to emit.
The Smoky Snow Weasel jumped into the sea.
The sea had changed; even under the Flame King Dragon’s calamity, the calm sea had changed.
Without fierce winds, wave upon wave rose, pushing past the ships and rushing toward the land.
The sea seemed to raise its hand in fury, slapping down on the barren land.
Streams erupted on the land, catching the attention of the two entangled ancient dragons as they looked at the third party entering the battlefield.
On the crest of those waves, the master of the water world galloped, clear streams draped around him like the night sky, the dazzling light beneath the water resembling pure starlight.
“Long time no see, please enjoy the electrified waterbed~”
Jié Jié looked at the Extinction Dragon as the waves fell with the Abyssal Wave Dragon’s forelimbs onto the shore.
Behind him, the suspended curtain of the sea swallowed up all the sparks, sweeping across the land.
As the curtain collapsed, the Flame King Dragon was drenched like a big cat, and the Extinction Dragon was washed into a hedgehog, while he remained radiant and glowing, still retaining his dragon-like form.
He looked cool, but this move had exhausted all his control. It meant that if the two opponents didn’t run, he would have to engage in close combat next.
Close combat then? So be it. Lightning snakes crawled out from the Abyssal Wave Dragon’s armpits, wings, and ribs, wrapping around his whole body, white smoke from electrolyzed water hissing everywhere.
Attribute Release! Lightning!
This was something a regular Abyssal Wave Dragon wouldn’t do; such enchantments were essentially self-consuming through electrolysis.
But for him, it was perfect—detaching from the usual water-lightning mixed damage of a normal Abyssal Wave Dragon, he maximized his discharge ability, resembling a true lightning lord.
“Roar!”
The big cat spewed a mouthful of flames, drying off the accumulated water, covering himself again with the Flame King Dragon’s flames. The fire clashed fiercely with the dampness in the air.
The hedgehog shook its body, its claws restlessly stirring in the accumulated water. The muscles of the Extinction Dragon bulged, pressing against its entire body, broken white thorns pushed out by sharp black thorns.
For a moment, their gazes were fixed on Jié Jié, sensing the strongest threat from him.
The Extinction Dragon leaped forward, flapping its wings in mid-air, raising its arms and heavily smashing down towards the Abyssal Wave Dragon on the ground.
Standing firmly on the soaked ground, Jié Jié planted his roots deep, his arms wrapped in lightning striking upward in retaliation against the downward blow.
Being in mid-air, the Extinction Dragon had nowhere to cushion the impact, and the whole dragon was blasted backward.
The Flame King Dragon paused its charge, tangling with the Extinction Dragon for a moment. He knew how terrifying that freak’s strength was, so naturally, he stepped back twice, instead sprinkling dust to confuse the situation.
The two dragons fighting were temporarily focused only on each other, neither paying attention to the Flame King Dragon’s subtle actions.
The retreating Extinction Dragon lunged forward, tilting its wings to press down on Jié Jié. When resisted, it raised its arm from beneath its wing, delivering a well-plotted uppercut.
“Progress!”
His insight had been running throughout the fight. The Flame King Dragon’s subtle moves were negligible; the claw hidden beneath the wing had already been spotted. Jié Jié twisted his body sideways, preemptively using the Iron Mountain Lean to cancel out the Extinction Dragon’s plot.
The lightning at the base of his wings went berserk, climbing up the Extinction Dragon’s body upon impact, crackling and exploding, shattering some of the growing spines.
After colliding and retreating, the Extinction Dragon’s heavy tail swung like a mace, tearing wounds on the Abyssal Wave Dragon’s body.
Jié Jié slightly bent his body, climbed up the Extinction Dragon’s tail, and delivered a claw strike filled with intense lightning, causing it to stagger back.
At this moment, the flying dust exploded into a rootless sea of fire, but the jumping lightning pierced through it, leaping into the Flame King Dragon’s rapidly shrinking pupils.
Pained, the Flame King Dragon hastily retreated, looking around for a way to avoid the fight.
But the Extinction Dragon’s gaze followed the jumping lightning, locking onto the Flame King Dragon’s figure.
Take out the weaker one first to fill our stomachs!
Unable to retreat, the Flame King Dragon had no choice but to be tangled back into the battlefield.

When you see a mighty male fire dragon soaring through the sky, you can't confidently say it’s truly a fire dragon—because it might have been a rare silver fire dragon before you noticed it.
If you suspect it was a silver fire dragon, it could have been a spinosaurus even earlier.
When someone tells you it was once a spinosaurus, you still can’t be sure—because before others saw it, it might have been an elder extinction dragon.
You may feel certain it’s a flying dragon by now, yet you can't assert that either—because underground where you can't see, it might actually be an ancient mountain dragon.
So, what is it really?
In the beginning,
It was just a hairy spider.
