Chapter 338: She’s Not Human.
By the time Jié Jié transformed back into a Fire Dragon and flew back to the Snow Mountain, two days had already passed.
The distance covered in one day in Electric Dragon form took two days at the Fire Dragon’s normal speed.
For those two days, he stayed at high altitudes and decided to continue doing so. There would surely come a day when the Celestial Comet Dragon sees him and attacks!
If he just strives hard enough, Hui Hui will definitely notice him!
The Male Fire Dragon with an enormous wingspan flew over the village at the foot of the snow mountain, causing a wave of exclamations.
Jié Jié looked down at Poké Village; the pride of being a Fire Dragon made him enjoy the gazes from below.
But among these astonished and frightened stares, one cold gaze stood out prominently.
It was a Dragon Person girl cloaked in a cape, who had been talking to an Ailu Cat wearing an overcoat. She lifted her head along with everyone else as they gasped.
Following that line of sight, the Fire Dragon’s vertical pupils contracted slightly as Jié Jié detected disdain in the girl’s eyes.
Unlike the contempt derived from the White Swift Dragon King’s belief in his intellectual superiority over the Hōng Lóng, this disdain carried an air of arrogance.
Though it might be impolite to think so about such a pretty girl, Jié Jié instantly felt… she wasn’t human.
She absolutely wasn’t human!
Or rather, what lay beneath that skin certainly wasn’t human.
After their gazes met, the connection broke as the Fire Dragon had already flown past.
Perhaps it was an Ancient Dragon looking for amusement by issuing a commission to hunt him?
Jié Jié guessed while flying past the village.
“Another commission from the Ancient Tower side, how troublesome.”
The cat in the overcoat watched the retreating back of the Dragon Person girl with a sigh, then turned around to look at the departing Male Fire Dragon.
“Was the one who just flew by the four-winged Bonefire Dragon mentioned in the commission? What a powerful individual.”
“But the hunter capable of defeating it probably isn’t even in Poké Village anymore.”
The feline burdened with dark-side guild tasks sighed heavily. The Dragon Person girl earlier had put immense pressure on her.
She knew enough to wear a cloak when entering the village but didn’t even pretend once she approached her.
As Jié Jié crossed the snow mountain and entered the sea area, he quickly found the three large ships of Phase Two Team.
It seemed that during these three days he was absent chasing after the Celestial Comet Dragon, Phase Two Team had officially set sail.
He confirmed the waterproofing of the silk bag hanging from his chest before diving straight into the ocean.
The hard shell of the Male Fire Dragon softened, its long whiskers swaying with the water currents. An Abyssal Wave Dragon swam leisurely around the ships, heading towards the direction of the New Continent together.
…
The soaking wet Smoky Snow Weasel climbed onto the flagship of the Phase Two fleet, shaking off the water droplets.
Jié Jié began observing within the ship.
Phase Two Team consisted of three ships carrying more than ninety members, tripling the scale of Phase One Team. In response to Phase One Team’s request, over sixty percent of the personnel were technical staff.
With so many technicians, tools and materials for technology were indispensable, especially those finished products requiring complete industrial levels to manufacture.
It could be foreseen that upon arrival, the living standards of Phase One Team would significantly improve.
The warm light from the fireplace illuminated the room where the Phase Two Team Leader was reviewing some documents. A Dragon Person scholar leaned against the corner between the table and wall, slowly flipping through a book in hand.
Jié Jié skillfully climbed onto the beam in the room, watching them review the documents.
These documents were very familiar to Jié Jié.
In the hands of the Phase Two Team Leader were part of the design drafts brought back by the Compiler entrusted by the Technical Squad Leader.
They simply illustrated the environment of the Starship located in the Twin Peaks, with all positional structures clearly drawn out, awaiting the recipient to submit a satisfactory answer.
“Every time I study these documents, it feels like exchanging ideas with the two masters currently in the New Continent. How I look forward to meeting them.”
The team leader scribbled on the structure with a pencil, an eraser placed nearby, occasionally picking it up to make modifications.
He had made multiple copies of these documents, revised them countless times, invited other team members to propose their own ideas, and designed different construction plans in various directions, allowing the Technical Squad Leader to choose from later.
“Yes, there are successors to the rank of One-Star Master.”
The Dragon Person youth nodded lightly, closing the document in hand, which was the result of continuous exchanges with the Compiler in Dongduoluma.
“I’m thinking, they watch as the massive Fire Dragon flies across the sky, see the Gold Ancient Dragon fade into the distance, witness the Water Ancient Dragon leaping from the sea right before their eyes, yet they can’t conduct any investigations. It must be such a regretful experience.”
“It won’t remain such a regret forever,”
The Phase Two Team Leader shook his head, “After we arrive and establish our base, future investigation teams will stand on our shoulders and continue moving forward.”
“Even further in the future, we won’t need to chase the ancient dragons across the seas. The investigation base could become a port on the New Continent, supporting fleets traveling back and forth freely.”
“A promising future, but if said by us Dragon People, it might sound like an unrealistic prophecy. But in your human hands, it’s a future that can be practically achieved step by step.”
The Dragon Person youth looked enviously at the Phase Two Team Leader.
Dragon People possess excellent appearances, higher intelligence, and longer lifespans. Often, Dragon People have a steady and mature scholarly personality. Aside from age factors, it’s also because they don’t easily generate intense emotions like humans do.
This is both an advantage and a disadvantage. They don’t make mistakes influenced by emotions, nor are they easily motivated by feelings to produce strong subjective kinetic energy.
This causes most Dragon People to remain anonymous in their respective positions. Scholars aren’t like hunters galloping everywhere; they do behind-the-scenes work, leading uneventful lives without much luster.
“How could that be? I rely on technology to impress everyone, but the person truly managing them well is you. You’re the real leader.”
The Team Leader furrowed his brows and gave a thumbs-up.
“After arriving at the New Continent, I’ll just tinker with technology, but the real management and allocation still depend on you. Moving toward the future is the effort of both of us.”
It’s the Dragon People quietly doing everything well, just as hunters can’t exist without the Guild, humans can’t thrive without Dragon People either.
The future Research Squad Leader paused momentarily, smiling and nodding.
“Captain! Dinner is ready, come join everyone!”
A crew member knocked on the Captain’s cabin door, reminding the two that it was dinner time.
“Alright, alright, we’re coming.”
The Team Leader stood up from his chair, exchanged glances with the Dragon Person, and walked out together.
“Dinner?”
Jié Jié perked up and slipped out as well, entering the gathering where everyone was having dinner together.
“Eh? What’s this white weasel doing here?”
Even if some sailors noticed him, Jié Jié paid no attention.
The Guild’s influence on the Original Continent was too vast, but the investigation team was heading to the New Continent where he held sway. Could they turn back now?
The investigation team might no longer consider him an ordinary Smoky Snow Weasel, but for now, he was just adding to his mystery.
Dodging the cautious large hands reaching out to grab him, Jié Jié leapt onto the wall, silently observing them.
The Research Squad Captain looked up at him, scratching his chin in confusion, quickly flipping through the books he carried.
The Compiler had mentioned the Smoky Snow Weasels of the New Continent, filled with affectionate words.
And there was also doubt expressed, suspecting that the Smoky Snow Weasel had followed them to the Original Continent. However, due to the lack of direct sightings, investigations couldn’t proceed, leaving much regret.
And now… but how did it manage?
Whether it was the small boat of the Compiler and the hunter or the current fleet, there should be no way for it to board!
“Just leave it alone.”

When you see a mighty male fire dragon soaring through the sky, you can't confidently say it’s truly a fire dragon—because it might have been a rare silver fire dragon before you noticed it.
If you suspect it was a silver fire dragon, it could have been a spinosaurus even earlier.
When someone tells you it was once a spinosaurus, you still can’t be sure—because before others saw it, it might have been an elder extinction dragon.
You may feel certain it’s a flying dragon by now, yet you can't assert that either—because underground where you can't see, it might actually be an ancient mountain dragon.
So, what is it really?
In the beginning,
It was just a hairy spider.
