Chapter 231: The Fall.
The underdeveloped ocular structure of the young dragon prevented her from seeing the world’s every blade of grass and tree; all she could perceive were energies endlessly tracing paths.
Her sense of touch was the collision of energies.
Her hearing was the constant vibration of energies.
Taste and smell were the scattering of energies as they passed through her mouth.
Since the beginning, the world she perceived was one of endless energy collisions.
It was the same for the young king within the egg, just like all Míng Dēng Lóng.
And energy filled the bodies of the tangible, outlining their silhouettes like shadows of souls.
The Míng Dēng Lóng truly guided all energies carrying souls in water puddles and at the pivot points of rivers, akin to guiding lamps.
To them, everything seemed to be food.
The vast energy of the warm cocoon had already illuminated her chest, acting as the first wave of energy to set the “perpetual motion machine” in motion.
But this “perpetual motion machine” was not yet mature.
Even with a fatal wound to the neck, even with a massive body tipping over in anger and hostility, even under the gaze of covetous eyes, wave after wave of energy continued to impact the body of the Míng Dēng Lóng.
Unable to bear the tangible form, it needed to vent from within.
The radiant emission shaped by the constraints of the body created boundaries and obstructions—this was “the realm.”
As the body fell and lost activity, the blockage of energy inside worsened. Unable to maintain its critical state, it began to transcend limits.
The claws that had penetrated deep into the chest of the young dragon had already touched the ribs; just a little deeper—
But the fallen Míng Dēng Lóng was rising again.
Jié Jié’s other half collided with the front limb of the Míng Dēng Lóng, intending to hinder her rise and gain more time.
The damaged wings on the back of the Míng Dēng Lóng leaned against the rock wall for support but still managed to stabilize her body.
Her long neck hung down, and her arms erupted with an outburst of energy.
The young dragon stood upright, and a thick beam of light burst from her mouth, unleashing indiscriminate large-scale attacks around her.
The ground cracked and exploded under the blasts, infernal fires surged forth, sweeping everything away, including two Extinction Dragons.
Jié Jié had already fallen from the chest of the Míng Dēng Lóng and now lay beneath her.
The other Extinction Dragon wasn’t so fortunate, getting blasted away several times, rolling and falling temporarily unable to rise.
Being beneath the Míng Dēng Lóng was no safer; the scorching heat softened and then exploded the earth beneath her due to her own weight, causing it to collapse further.
The force of the breath weapon was too powerful; the Míng Dēng Lóng ended the breath weapon because her legs sank into the ground, causing her upper body to crash heavily into the fractured terrain.
Jié Jié was also pressed into the collapsed ground and was hit by the infernal fire erupting from the limbs underground, breaking off many of his spines, leaving him somewhat dispirited.
Lifting his head, he saw through the red and blue mist of flames straight to the abdomen of the Míng Dēng Lóng, where several nutrient-rich Black Thorns broke off right as they were about to penetrate.
Considering reproduction, this strike was perfectly positioned.
From the perspective of legal precedents applied to monsters, this was probably illegal.
In reality, the spines of the Extinction Dragon weren’t parasites; if the host didn’t die, they would gradually wear away due to the monster’s accumulated immune response or be destroyed by special abilities.
To increase the birth rate of baby Extinction Dragons, Jié Jié exerted force with his limbs again, crushing large sections of rock layers before colliding once more with the abdomen of the Míng Dēng Lóng.
At this moment, the young dragon was pulling each of her limbs out of the ground. After being struck, her body arched slightly, and the front part fell back down, her claws gripping the ground tightly to exert force.
The body of the Míng Dēng Lóng rapidly spun while retreating, simultaneously pulling her limbs out from the side while firing a Short-lived Light Cannon at the nearby energy source.
Jié Jié, pushed back by the cannon, slid along the ground using his wings, fully mitigating the impact. Then, he twisted his limbs and exerted force, flying forward and raising his claw to smash onto the head of the Míng Dēng Lóng.
Another burst of light cannons followed.
This prevented him from initiating the Heaven Spike Attack, but staggering, he still managed to grab and smash the head of the Míng Dēng Lóng into the ground.
With his physical prowess increasing due to the battle, he didn’t fly back as far as before. His claws touched the ground and halted the retreat immediately. He ran forward, using his horns to lift the head of the Míng Dēng Lóng, shaking her entire body upward.
Golden Lion Horn Strike!
While lifting his head, Jié Jié raised his claws and stood upright, both claws slamming down on her head.
Double Heaven Spike Attack!
When the scattered spines interrupted the glowing organs on the horns of the Míng Dēng Lóng, she finally retaliated.
The force of her Ramming (Action) sent Jié Jié rolling several times. He saw another Extinction Dragon leaping from the ruins, pouncing onto the spine of the Míng Dēng Lóng and rolling off.
The Glittering Dragon joined the battlefield once again, swinging her claw toward the side of the Míng Dēng Lóng.
Her claws weren’t as sharp as those of the Extinction Dragon, but they excelled in sheer power, slicing a long scar across her flank.
Under repeated injuries, the body of the Míng Dēng Lóng became mottled with new and old scars.
The Míng Dēng Lóng was also retaliating; one blast after another from her Light Cannon shattered the golden scales of the Glittering Dragon. Meanwhile, she was retreating, attempting to leave the presence of the Earth Mother Goddess.
The Earth Mother Goddess relentlessly pursued, raising her body and smashing both arms down upon the Míng Dēng Lóng’s body, pressing down heavily.
“Boom!”
The limbs of the Míng Dēng Lóng erupted with infernal fire, sinking while plowing through the ground and retreating.
Amidst continuous destruction and the immense weight of the Ultra-Large Monster, the current battleground was already broken beyond recognition. Collapsed Dragon Crystals and constantly falling rock layers formed a scene of ruins.
The ruins couldn’t impede the activities of the monsters, but the ravaged earth concealed numerous pit traps, waiting for heavy objects to fall into them.
Following the ceiling’s rock layer shattering to reveal the sky, the ground itself began to collapse, and the two largest behemoths promptly sank downward.
The shaking of the ground caused the Míng Dēng Lóng to panic, flailing her limbs, and the Glittering Dragon also fell into a frenzy. Their riot accelerated the collapse of the ground.
The other Extinction Dragon plunged into the chaos, focusing on attacking the Míng Dēng Lóng but inadvertently included the Glittering Dragon in its wide-sweeping strikes, accelerating their descent.
Jié Jié flapped his wings to maintain hovering, conserving stamina while restoring energy, observing the ground collapsing.
The collapsing ground was pierced by lower levels of Dragon Crystal pillars. Hard rock layers and crystal pillars shattered together under violent collisions, sending various fragments flying everywhere.
The chaos among the three monsters paused momentarily; they were also injured during their fall, adjusting their states into a stalemate.
Jié Jié wasted no time, diving directly onto the back of the Míng Dēng Lóng, hugging her torso while biting into her disabled wing.

When you see a mighty male fire dragon soaring through the sky, you can't confidently say it’s truly a fire dragon—because it might have been a rare silver fire dragon before you noticed it.
If you suspect it was a silver fire dragon, it could have been a spinosaurus even earlier.
When someone tells you it was once a spinosaurus, you still can’t be sure—because before others saw it, it might have been an elder extinction dragon.
You may feel certain it’s a flying dragon by now, yet you can't assert that either—because underground where you can't see, it might actually be an ancient mountain dragon.
So, what is it really?
In the beginning,
It was just a hairy spider.
