Chapter 178: Jié Jié’s Participation (Additional Chapter 4)
Jié Jié spun in the air like a Male Fire Dragon, completing a full 365° vertical flip, slightly descending before being lifted again by the dragon wind. However, the Team Leader on his back remained firmly seated.
After stabilizing his body, he flapped his wings once and gathered them in, rotating his body to land gracefully on the ground.
Stomping on the floor, he took off again, giving the Hunter on his back an extreme颠簸 experience.
The Team Leader indeed enjoyed this ultimate dizziness, aside from physical discomfort, there was also the erosion of toxins. With constant shaking, his body was pierced with numerous needle-like wounds.
His sturdy body, aided by thick clothing, prevented him from being completely penetrated, but several times his skin was pierced. A single antidote couldn’t counteract the effects.
He abandoned attacking, instead focusing all his attention on enduring while continuously drinking the remaining antidotes.
Unfortunately, the Spiny Dragon’s stamina seemed endless, maintaining intense activity both in the sky and on the ground without any pause.
He even felt the Spiny Dragon’s body heating up, the patterns lurking on its Dark Green Shell lighting up, filled with blood.
The good news was that the shell had softened somewhat; the bad news was that more poison was secreting from the spines.
It wasn’t time to give up yet; his Companion was surely thinking of ways to help him.
While the Spiny Dragon danced wildly in the air, Shān Máo ran on all fours across the ground, carrying a Great Sword, stopping directly beneath the airborne Spiny Dragon and lifting his determined gaze.
Jié Jié’s gaze fell upon the Ailu Cat on the ground, seeing him crush something above his head.
What followed was the appearance of dark spots in his vision.
The strong light emitted at the death of the fireflies briefly illuminated the night, causing the Flying Dragon to fall from the sky.
Jié Jié almost instantly regained his footing after landing, but by then, Shān Máo had already reached his head, using the Great Sword to leap into the air and swing it heavily down.
The Ailu Cat, along with his weapon, was thrown away, but Jié Jié’s brain buzzed from the dizziness.
A moment of stiffness gave the Team Leader on his back an opportunity to seize the chance without hesitation, exerting all his strength, stronger than the previous two-handed grip.
A spine was severed, which might not have been a big deal for Jié Jié, but he used the reaction force to fly away with the spine.
At this moment, the Master Swordsman wielding a great hammer arrived at the battlefield, jumping high and smashing onto the Spiny Dragon’s wing.
Though it didn’t break, the Spiny Dragon’s wing swung downward with great force combined with wind pressure, sending the incoming Master Swordsman flying out again.
“Be careful of this wind pressure, something’s not right!”
The Master Swordsman shouted as he landed, taking a deep breath.
“I’ve noticed too.”
Responded the Team Leader, who had been continuously suppressed by the wind pressure during the Dragon Charge, slashing repeatedly at the Spiny Dragon’s thigh with incredible speed, leaving only faint shadows visible.
The softened shell was scratched, and the blood-filled shell finally blossomed with blood flowers.
But these blood flowers belonged only to the tiny vessels of the outermost shell, not even making Jié Jié feel pain.
Sensing the approaching wind, the Team Leader immediately rolled backward.
Although Jié Jié had voluntarily retracted the Wind Wrap Armor, the dragon wind continued to flow around his wings.
Jié Jié reopened his eyes, though the lingering light spots on his retina clearly hindered his movements. The residual vision and the sensation of attacks coming were enough for him to counterattack.
Flapping his wings and jumping, he stomped on the ground with both feet, kicking the staggering Team Leader away and swinging his tail towards the Master Swordsman.
Flames surged from his mouth, sweeping across the surroundings, creating a vacuum zone.
Continuously blinking to remove the light spots from his retina, he unleashed a string of massive fireballs from his mouth towards the two Hunters.
The Master Swordsman hit the fireball with a home run, but instead of dispersing the flames in all directions, he himself was thrown rolling out.
“Cough cough, this guy’s fireballs are too powerful.”
After swallowing a more effective antidote, he threw one to the Team Leader, then got up shortly before crouching down again to avoid the heavy tail sweep from the Spiny Dragon.
Crouching and slightly tilting his head, he saw the Team Leader being gripped by the Spiny Dragon’s claws.
Even though he was struck to the ground, the Blond Man still managed to stab the Skinning Knife into the center of the Spiny Dragon’s claw, though he couldn’t escape being captured either.
The Spiny Dragon’s claws couldn’t crush him, but the self-inflicted wound on the claw obviously caused it pain, so it loosened its grip slightly.
But before he could break free, the claws suddenly tightened, bringing him closer to the Spiny Dragon’s head.
Jié Jié stared at the Team Leader held in his claws, regaining some rationality and wanting to throw him into the sea, but the Blond Man let go of his weapon and punched him.
Enraged!
Lifting his claw, he stomped down hard and glanced down.
This Hunter was incredibly resilient, truly worthy of his robust physique, still trying to pry open his claw despite everything.
Into the sea you go!
Jié Jié flew up, intending to throw the Team Leader into the sea, but at this moment, the Master Swordsman inserted himself between him and the ground.
The terrifying brute force brought the heavy hammer spinning, compressing the air until it screamed in agony.
This overwhelming strike directly smashed onto Jié Jié’s claw.
Clearly, the Master Swordsman understood how to attack a monster’s weak points when wielding a great hammer, and he had switched to the hammer specifically for this purpose.
The pain surged from the toes crushed by the hammer, the Team Leader who should have been thrown far away was saved by the Master Swordsman, who supported him as they rolled away together, narrowly avoiding being stepped on again by the returning Spiny Dragon.
Jié Jié stomped back to the ground, and the Skinning Knife that was still in his claw now plunged straight in.
“Roar!!!”
A heavy growl escaped through clenched teeth as the patterns on the Dark Green Shell instantly became blood-filled and glowing.
Stepping on nails due to the broken toe bone from the hammer blow, what sins had he committed to endure such torment!!!
Caught off guard by the sudden burst of pain, Jié Jié felt like his teeth would shatter.
The tightly clenched jaws opened amidst numbness, releasing a terrifying sound wave that turned entirely substantial, unleashing all the heat within him and the wind he had contained.
The Spiny Dragon’s once dark green shell now showed only black and intimidating red light.
Wind and fire gained momentum, and another calamity descended upon this disaster-prone plain.
“Oh no, we seem to have caused a big problem? Would throwing stink bombs help now?”
The Team Leader, knocked down by the fierce wind, looked at the flames burning on his body, preparing to speak.
“Most likely useless. Let’s jump into the sea.”
The Master Swordsman was also enveloped by the spreading flames. His gaze passed through the firewall, looking at the azure now just within reach.

When you see a mighty male fire dragon soaring through the sky, you can't confidently say it’s truly a fire dragon—because it might have been a rare silver fire dragon before you noticed it.
If you suspect it was a silver fire dragon, it could have been a spinosaurus even earlier.
When someone tells you it was once a spinosaurus, you still can’t be sure—because before others saw it, it might have been an elder extinction dragon.
You may feel certain it’s a flying dragon by now, yet you can't assert that either—because underground where you can't see, it might actually be an ancient mountain dragon.
So, what is it really?
In the beginning,
It was just a hairy spider.
