Chapter 147: Bungee.
The floating islands above the Dead Sea were nests for herds of Wind Drift Dragons. Though the main force of the Wind Drift Dragons had been scattered by Jié Jié’s expulsion, many still remained to defend their young, choosing to fortify their nests as a second line of defense.
Ignoring this second line of defense, Jié Jié chose to descend back below the Dead Sea after taking in the beautiful scenery, beginning to feed on the corpses of the Wind Drift Dragons.
The slender physiques of the Wind Drift Dragons could not be considered meaty monsters; too many glands ruined the taste of the meat chunks.
However, the wing membranes of the Wind Drift Dragons differed from the standard dragon wing membranes of Fire Dragons. They extended and overlapped like large leaves, having a meaty texture.
Jié Jié tried detaching them, folding them up, then took a thick bite, finding it refreshingly cool and quite pleasant.
After tearing open the skin and underlying glands of the Wind Drift Dragon, one could see the Ice Bag emitting cold air from the chest cavity.
With slight pressure, easily freezing body fluids would crystallize into icicles.
It was summer now, and though the high-altitude airflow environment wasn’t particularly warm, biting into meat cooled by an Ice Bag was quite comfortable.
Got it—eat Wind Drift Dragons in the summer!
After finishing feeding on the Wind Drift Dragon, Jié Jié did not rush to climb the towering peaks but instead strolled through the coral crevices beneath the Dead Sea, trying to discover interesting things.
For instance, the swaying eels found everywhere on Coral Land Plateaus.
These snake-like little creatures always darted through the coral, with cute big eyes on their heads and feather-like adornments on their sides, their long bodies swaying gracefully with the wind—adorable to the extreme.
In the future, investigation teams would even release headgear equipment shaped like these swaying eels due to their cuteness.
There were only two forms where the swaying eels lost their charm.
One was when the part below the swaying eel’s head revealed an extremely muscular body, and the other was the battle-hardened swaying eel with black wings and a glowing chest.
Both would become terrifying figures in the eyes of certain groups.
Jié Jié approached these swaying eels slightly, and they instantly retreated into the ground upon noticing his presence.
They were very vigilant, quickly disappearing into coral crevices at the slightest movement.
Lifting his head while in the swaying eels’ habitat, he could see countless coral eggs falling from the sky, causing the sunlight to scatter.
The swaying eels had eagerly awaited these coral eggs as food.
Admiring the magnificent scenery composed of various corals, Jié Jié looked out from a wind-eroded coral cave.
Clouds lay beneath his feet, with continuous ascending air currents passing through the clouds, crossing his field of vision and rising straight to the peak.
Jié Jié leaped down from the cave entrance, riding the ascending air currents upward, ignoring several wind-eroded caves that could have provided rest, and landed directly on the summit of the Coral Land Plateau.
Blown by strong winds, the land corals here seemed to have evolved an extremely strong water storage capability. After just a few steps, Jié Jié felt the coral underfoot becoming slightly moist under his footpads.
Looking around, the owner who should have been exceptionally in need of this water was nowhere to be seen.
After all, there were more than one such high places on Coral Land Plateaus, and these peaks even formed hollow mountain ranges.
And far away, the silver figure reflecting sunlight gliding was a Burst Scale Dragon.
Places like Coral Land Plateaus with abundant ascending air currents were indeed favored by glide-dependent Burst Scale Dragons.
Jié Jié reached the edge of the peak and leaped down.
He did not glide like a Burst Scale Dragon but dove straight down against the ascending air currents.
Without flapping his wings, he allowed himself to plummet.
The ascending air currents became gales in his downward gaze, which would break the wings of less skilled flying dragons.
Jié Jié felt a bit of warmth, unsure if it was from excitement or friction with the air.
From an external perspective, the dark green shell of the Spiny Dragon lit up due to active blood vessels, showing clear signs of excitement.
The details of the ground grew clearer in his eyes, and the accumulated momentum was enough to pierce through storms. Even spreading his wings might not stop this situation.
How many layers of coral could he crash through?
The air current rushing into his mouth was forcefully held in his throat, forming a Wind Ball. With the wind pressure pulling his throat slightly, the storm was released from Jié Jié’s mouth, turning into an ascending Dragon Roll.
At the same time, he pulled up his wings.
He could feel the violent influx of blood into his wings under his strong heartbeat, tearing apart the finest blood vessels, energy chaotically swirling throughout his wings.
Especially at the connection between his wings and body, he could feel fiery pain, as if his joints were dislocating, his wings breaking, or the wings themselves flying into the sky, leaving behind his heavy body captured by gravity.
His physical strength resisted the surging gale during the descent.
Every moment of pain was filled with life energy, tendons and fine blood vessels healing at microscopic intervals.
He began trying to flap his wings, shattering the awakened Dragon Roll along with the ascending air currents.
Broken so be it, fortunately, it wasn’t his wings that broke.
The Spiny Dragon crashed into the lower levels of the Coral Land Plateau.
Qí Lín looked down from a wind-eroded coral cave in the high altitude, wondering if something was wrong with him.
“Bungee, awesome!!!”
The monster in the crater roared towards the sky. The originally dark green shell of the Spiny Dragon was now filled with vigorous blood flow, making it impossible to see its original color.
Unable to find high-intensity monsters to fight, why not try challenging the gravity that was supposedly irrefutable?
Much of the energy within spread throughout his body, captured by blood and microorganisms for repair and digestion, truly integrating into the Spiny Dragon’s body.
Jié Jié gathered in his wings and panted. The excited state of the Spiny Dragon did not subside with his relaxation. His irresponsible behavior caused cells to protest, and the blood rushing to his head brought some dizziness.
He lay down in the crater, closed his eyes, and rested as if he had just experienced a great battle.
As sleep deepened, minor injuries in his body were repaired after consuming energy.
The dark green shell of the Spiny Dragon became even darker, with blood flowing with each breath, occasionally bringing out patterns only seen in the excited state.
Shell sedimentation, blood vessel expansion.
A Floating Dragon discovered the sleeping Jié Jié and unconsciously approached. It spun its body vigorously in the air and launched a Dragon Charge at the sleeping Spiny Dragon.
“Pop~”
Following a sound similar to a balloon being punctured, the Floating Dragon flew away erratically like a burst balloon.
While Jié Jié, still asleep, merely shook his head, completely unaware that a Floating Dragon’s dream of awakening had shattered.

When you see a mighty male fire dragon soaring through the sky, you can't confidently say it’s truly a fire dragon—because it might have been a rare silver fire dragon before you noticed it.
If you suspect it was a silver fire dragon, it could have been a spinosaurus even earlier.
When someone tells you it was once a spinosaurus, you still can’t be sure—because before others saw it, it might have been an elder extinction dragon.
You may feel certain it’s a flying dragon by now, yet you can't assert that either—because underground where you can't see, it might actually be an ancient mountain dragon.
So, what is it really?
In the beginning,
It was just a hairy spider.
