[Hello, I have an important story to share]
[Talk | 5239 viewers online | 00:32:51]
There was a sudden discussion about improving the treatment of unpaid slaves for some reason.
The conclusion of the story was simple.
─What’s with the unpaid slaves, right…
Anyway, there’s no need to care for voluntary unpaid slaves.
…Even if I have the right to say this, isn’t it a bit too much for you all to act this way?
Sometimes, when I look at the management records of Remagal, I honestly feel a bit sorry.
“Hmm….”
Well, the paddaks probably won’t feel bad seeing this.
In fact, even though I said that earlier, I’ve already made a separate Miscode server just for paddaks and sent out invites.
Sure, I haven’t done anything special for them yet, but I planned to talk to them after selecting the editors this time.
Recently, the scale of Remagal has grown so much that the unpaid slaves are really working hard.
Maybe I could periodically give them simple gifts like gift cards, similar to what the broadcast managers do…?
Sure, someone might say that it’d be nuts if it got out, but this Remagal is practically my fan cafe.
No.
It’s just an official community, you know.
They are the ones managing such an official community carefully, so if I didn’t do this much, that would be rather strange.
However, I can’t hide it from other Rebongi forever, so I need to find the right timing to mention that too.
Maybe it would be okay to say it after I’ve chosen all the editors?
─By the way, can I handle using all six editors at once?
As the discussion about the unpaid slaves came to an end, the chat window returned to the original topic.
“I was thinking we could talk about that part now… I have some alternatives in mind…”
Of course, no matter what I do, it’ll be slightly different from other OnTube editors.
Out of the six channels I’ve seen, five of them post at least four videos a week.
The remaining channel sometimes posts up to three videos a day.
If I were to hire all six as official editors and have them post at that speed while paying salaries like other OnTube channels…
Hmm.
No matter how I think about it, it felt beyond my capacity.
While I’m not struggling to make a living, that doesn’t mean I can waste money.
“And it’s not guaranteed that everyone will pass, so I suppose we’ll think about that part later…”
So I planned to have thorough discussions and decide if we could work together.
“Alright, then let’s get started… So, applicants? Is everyone here…?”
[Applicant3: Yes, I’m here]
[Applicant5: ㅇㅇ]
[Applicant2: Yes]
[Applicant4: Here]
[Applicant1: Yes~]
[Applicant6: Let’s go]
Fortunately, all applicants answered my call.
If there had been no response here, I would have planned to eliminate them right away.
“Please join the voice chat room… Hmm. If it’s difficult to use the mic, chatting is just fine too…”
As soon as my words finished, the sound of dinging rang six times.
“Hello….”
It was time to start the interviews.
★
“Applicant1, what do you think is the charm of my broadcast…?”
[The power struggle with Rebongi? I think that’s the biggest charm of Rene’s broadcast.]
“Applicant2, can you tell me what was the most difficult aspect of editing my broadcasts?”
[I think it was when I had to edit comments that could unintentionally cause controversy… sometimes it feels like it might stir up trouble.]
“Applicant3.”
[Um, I’m really sorry, but I just want to keep running this as a fan channel, so I came to say that. Is that okay? I won’t be monetizing, and if you want, I can leave the management to you, Rene.]
[I came for the same reason. I feel like I’d be at a disadvantage compared to others if I were paid. Oh, my Miscode nickname is Applicant6.]
“Ah… so you both want to keep it as fan channels, right?”
[Yes, that’s correct.]
[Yes.]
“…Understood. I’ll count on you both moving forward. If anything problematic comes up regarding management, just contact me directly. And sorry, but about Miscode….”
[Ah, yes. I’ll be heading out. Thank you~!]
[I’ll keep enjoying the broadcasts!]
“Hmm. Since Applicant3 and Applicant6 have dropped out… Now, Applicant4, what do you think about heretics in New Dimension? I noticed your fan channel mainly posts New Dimension videos…”
[Is it one of the guaranteed views? Personally, I like New Dimension, but I also started editing because it’s so much fun watching Rene do it. In fact, aside from a few, most reactions are really positive.]
“Applicant5, is there a particular aspect of the videos I’ve edited that you think stands out…?”
[I think it captures Rene’s intense moves the best… don’t you think?]
“Hmm….”
Thus, the brief interviews with the applicants ended.
And thankfully, it didn’t seem like there were any bad apples, but there was one significant problem.
Really, an enormous problem.
─All the applicants are just total Rene stans, LOL
─Real genius holders, for sure;
─Saying one person should be chosen is utterly absurd
─LOL
─3 and 6 both seemed good from their channels, what a waste
“Hmm… When I saw the videos, I didn’t realize it, but it seems like everyone doesn’t really know my broadcasts… If this continues, it’s going to be hard to choose….”
It felt like they all casually watched my broadcasts or something.
I have no idea how some people could give such answers when there aren’t many streamers out there who care for viewers as much as I do, without stirring up controversies.
On top of that, treating heretics simply as views doesn’t sit right with me, and seeing them blatantly call me an intense mover feels like they’re trying to mock me.
Why is it that all the applicants act this way….?
“Sigh….”
─???
─Someone who shouts ‘no’ whenever others say ‘yes’ LOL
─Damn, the hipster tendencies are coming out again
─Interpretation) It just means they didn’t like it, hehe;
─They seem to know more about Rene’s broadcasts than anyone else????
“No matter how I look at it, it seems like there’s no one worthy to choose….”
─Stop talking nonsense and just hire all four
─Honestly, if it’s Rene, just stubbornly being called an intense mover, I’d totally recommend that, LOL
─I’m Rene and it’s true I’m being stubborn, ㅇㅇ
“Being stubborn isn’t the point; it’s about having a cool-headed and objective judgment….”
Anyway, it’s going to be my official OnTube channel, so I can’t just pick anyone.
I need to select someone who’ll do a good job and be a good person.
For now, Applicant4 seems to be the best option.
At least they didn’t support heretics while answering.
“Hmm… For now, I’ll think about this a bit more and let’s move on to talk about salaries…”
In the end, the conversation about who to choose got kind of sidetracked.
After all, if there’s no agreement on salary management, whatever we discussed until now is meaningless.
“Among the applicants, has anyone thought about the salary…?”
[I’ll wait to hear Rene’s suggestions and then think about it.]
[How about setting a limit on the salary per month while doing it similar to other channels’ editors? That way, even if they post as many videos as they want, it puts less burden on Rene…]
[I think that seems fine too.]
[Alternatively, limiting the number of videos could also be an option…]
What they mentioned were ideas I had already considered.
However, after thinking deeply, I realized the original need wasn’t really there.
I didn’t have any particular interest in OnTube from the start.
I didn’t want to add extra stuff that I had to deal with, and managing it didn’t match my preferences at all.
Nevertheless, the reason I wanted to create an official channel was because of what Tuni and Harum said about it being essential for streamers, and if created, I’d eventually use it somewhere.
In other words, it’s just this, right?
I don’t really have to do anything; I just need to have an OnTube channel with an official label attached.
So, I called the owners of the existing fan channels.
“Everyone… this is my thought… what if the earnings from OnTube, the editors take all the profit?”
[…Huh?]
“Like, the earnings from the videos they edit go to the editors… But you all have to handle management of the channel…”
─?????
─Is that the right way?
─Is this a new method of losing money?
─That’s seriously absurd
─If you look at the biggest fan channels, they usually pull in at least 50k views;
[Rene, that’s a really kind offer, but I don’t think that’s the way to go. After all, the edited videos are also enjoyable because of the entertainment of Rene’s broadcasts, so taking 100% of the earnings feels…]
I honestly didn’t mind, but for some reason, the Rebongi started protesting, saying it didn’t make sense.
No matter how I think about it, isn’t that a pretty reasonable way?
I’d be gaining an official channel without having to manage it separately, and the editors would earn based on their efforts.
So, I thought everyone would be satisfied with that…
[More than anything, it would be too much burden on us.]
[Right. It probably wouldn’t feel great for you, Rene, either.]
Unfortunately, it seemed to not be feasible in many senses.
I genuinely thought it was fine though.
★
“Then, let’s set a limit on the maximum number of videos an editor can create per week, and we’ll discuss the salary in detail later…”
[Yes. That sounds good.]
[That’s not something easy to talk about on stream.]
In the end, the discussion about salaries got pushed to the future.
Now, it was time to come to a real conclusion.
“But everyone, as I mentioned earlier, are these folks really okay to be official channel editors? They just slander me and such…”
─That’s not slander, it’s fact
─Didn’t we just finish that talk already, c’mon
─Crazy girl
“So, you’re saying that as we’re in a power struggle and causing controversies, I’m just a stupid, foolish streamer?”
─That’s exactly right, LOL
─Yup ㅋ
─Isn’t that true?
─Thanks for the accurate explanation
─You knew what you were like all along, huh?
─Everything you just said was what I meant to say, thanks for that, hehe;
─Self-objectivity is definitely Rene, LOL
…Huh?
