“Oh, Adventurer! Did you come here after hearing the news as well? The Scadi Cult has declared a crusade against the Elun Cult. Well, it doesn’t really matter to a mere receptionist like me, but you must have come seeking something, right?”
The smiling guild receptionist waved her hand lightly in my direction, causing a system message to appear before me.
[You are participating as a neutral faction in this crusade.]
[Yes / No]
Naturally, I clicked Yes, and the receptionist looked at me with wide-open eyes, clearly surprised.
“Are you really planning to participate in the crusade between the two cults? Of course, the guild does manage the neutral faction… that is, mercenaries. The guild is a place that cannot interfere regardless of which cult comes to support. However, this crusade is ultimately a war between cults. The mercenaries probably won’t receive proper support. Would you still like to participate?”
[Yes / No]
This time, it was again a resolute Yes.
“Understood. Do you happen to have a mercenary group in mind to join? Currently, there are 201 mercenary groups formed since the declaration of the crusade.”
[Yes / No]
This time, it was No.
“…Are you perhaps planning to create a new mercenary group?”
[Yes / No]
Finally, upon clicking Yes, the receptionist handed me a form.
“Please write your name and the name of the mercenary group here. The registration fee is a total of 500 gold. The guild will contact you each time a crusade begins, and you can decide which cult’s mercenary you’ll join then. If you win, the cult will offer quite a generous reward. Have you decided which faction you’ll participate with for the first crusade?”
I shook my head at the receptionist’s question.
“Ah… So, I can just send you a message before the crusade starts?”
I nodded again in response to the following question.
“…Are you planning to stand against both cults?”
At this, I quietly nodded.
“The two cults are so massive that it’s hard for a mere mercenary group to go up against them. Naturally, they would also have the blessing of the gods. Facing them, a mercenary group without any foundation would find it really tough… But do you still wish to oppose them?”
Was the receptionist trying to dissuade me?
If so, I was truly grateful for her concern.
[Participation as a Third Faction]
[Your “Iya Cult” will participate as a complete Third Faction in this crusade.]
[Once decided, this choice cannot be changed.]
[If victorious, your mercenary group will become legends and be known throughout the continent.]
[If victorious, a massive reward will be given.]
[If defeated, no reward will be received.]
[Penalty: No support from either cult will be granted.]
[Penalty: Membership recognition by both cults as outright enemies once the crusade begins.]
[Penalty: If short on resources, incoming compensation will drastically decrease.]
[Penalty: The favorability of NPCs from both cults will significantly decrease.]
[Penalty: Recruitment of other mercenary groups will be impossible after the crusade begins.]
[Yes / No]
But I had already made up my mind.
To judge all heretics.
“…Understood. Our guild is a completely neutral faction. Then we shall support your choice as well. I anticipate the contributions of the ‘Inquisition Officer’ and the leader of the ‘Iya Cult’.”

You can join the guild!
Once we surpass 2000 members, I’ll hold a separate broadcast to discuss what game we will play.
【Votes: 132 / Dislikes: 2】
This is great without the annoying people ㅇㅅㅇ: Wow, you really made this
Nore Rene No Life🔹: Do we need to leave proof like certification photos?
└Rene🔸: I don’t think it’s really necessary.
ㅇㅇ🔹: What happens if I try to join as a heretic?
└Rene🔸: Of course, you’ll be rejected immediately.
└Rene🔸: But aren’t heretics unable to join other factions from the start?
└ㅇㅇ🔹: Oh yeah, right.
Pioneer: It’s time for Rene’s ‘Judgment’ to be delivered…
└ㅇㅇ: (Shivers)
Crumbler: Who am I? A member of the ‘Iya Cult’…

Can we really surpass 2,000 members?
That was the biggest concern I had regarding this war.
If it were in that other world, I wouldn’t have to worry about this at all.
Because those on the minority side were usually heretics.
When I requested support, that number would quickly gather.
But sometimes… just sometimes, the story changes.
For example, when I found out that the crown prince, the first in line to inherit the throne of an empire from that world, was hiding as a heretic.
I singlehandedly went to the empire and brought the prince back.
‘This person… this is a heretic, so I’m taking him….’
Of course, I properly explained it to them.
But for some reason, the emperor and the imperial knight order blocked me and knocked me out cold before I could take the crown prince.
Then my name was put on a wanted list by the empire.
Even after that, the empire declared war on the Iya Cult.
They claimed they couldn’t allow someone from their line to be taken just because they were a heretic, or something.
Did they underestimate our cult’s intelligence, or what…?
After all, the prince himself was diligently repenting, anyway.
Anyway, the war between the Iya Cult and that empire began, with about 30,000 troops recruited by the empire.
The coercion of soldiers from the imperial leadership combined with our cult’s characteristic of not forcing faith gave rise to a massive army.
In contrast, our total force was a mere 3,000, which was only 10% of the empire’s.
That was the only reasonable situation.
The Iya Cult was not an organization established for battle.
Our purpose was to serve the gods and help people, after all.
Of course, if we wanted, we could have recruited many more troops, but we determined that would create gaps in other areas and ended up only recruiting some of the Inquisition Officers and Paladins scattered throughout the continent.
Thus began a month-long war.
Well, unsurprisingly, we emerged victorious.
Led by Inquisition Officers… to be precise, I personally broke into enemy territory and dragged the emperor back to the cult.
But could that really be something I could pull off alone?
Absolutely not.
While I advanced forward alone, there were other Inquisition Officers and Paladins protecting my back, and it was only possible because I had faith in them.
Otherwise, it would have taken a much longer time to conclude the war.
Of course, the wars in that other world and this New Dimension are totally different.
Fundamentally, I wouldn’t be able to perform as actively as I did in that other world, support would be non-existent, and I heard the heretics’ number was around 15,000.
So, surpassing that number by 2,000 being our minimum requirement.
If not, no matter how impactful my contributions were, this war wouldn’t even be possible.
I do have emergency measures prepared, but… still, 2,000 troops were the bare minimum for this war.
As of now, the current recruitment status is:
[Mercenary Group Name: Iya Cult]
[Current Members: 3,281]
…We have already exceeded 3,000 members.
Why did so many gather?
To be honest, I thought 2,000 would be cutting it close.
At this rate, by the day the war with the heretics starts, that is, by tomorrow, we might hit 3,500 members.
★
“Can you come tomorrow…?”
[Yes, I think I can make it. Thankfully, it coincides with my day off. But starting next week, it might be a bit difficult. Though I should be able to join for the final part….]
“Ah, that much is enough. Thank you….”
[Rene-san, we must help you no matter what you ask. We owe you so much.]
“Then please let me know when you log in tomorrow….”
[Yes, understood.]

[It’s Judgment Time]
[New Dimension | 3,983 viewers online | 00:02:35]
─Wow lol
─‘Judgment Time’
─The title is absolutely ridiculous ㅇㅈ
─Great Demon Rene
─The Inquisition Officer sets off to educate the trembling heretics…
─I’m getting scared…
Thirty minutes before the war starts against the heretics in the New Dimension.
I turned on the broadcast.
The reason was the same as during the Albion Hunt.
I felt embarrassed to use New Dimension’s voice chat function, and I couldn’t invite over 3,000 people to create a Miscode Server.
In other words, I intended for them to just listen to my voice and move accordingly while leaving the broadcast on.
…Of course, the biggest reason was the numerous threats from my fans, the Rebongi, saying they wouldn’t tolerate me not streaming during this war.
“…Hello, everyone. Can you hear my voice clearly…?”
─ㅇㅇ
─Could you raise the volume a bit more? I feel like it’ll be drowned out once the war starts.
“Ah, then I’ll raise the mic volume beforehand….”
After receiving the Rebongi’s feedback and increasing the mic volume, I turned my gaze back to the chat window.
─But can we win this?
─I checked, Elun has 18,000 and Scadi has about 15,000 haha
─If you include the mercenaries helping both sides, that number will probably increase significantly.
This heretic war content had surprisingly fewer participants than expected, considering New Dimension’s popularity.
The main reasons were threefold.
First, you could receive rewards even without participating directly.
Second, the required level was set quite high at 65.
Lastly, the starting time for the first war was 5 PM on a Monday.
Of course, although the direct participants might be fewer, if you included the players predicting the outcome, the story changes.
“I already posted in Remagal, but didn’t set up a Miscode Server…. And I don’t plan to use the voice chat feature in New Dimension, so if you want to hear my voice, just keep the broadcast volume on….”
─Rene: I’ll whisper my voice into your ears through the broadcast.
─The distortion seems super intense ㅋㅋ
─Girlfriend ASMR “Do it for me”
─For real
─I support it
─If you give it to me, I’ll take off my pants immediately ㅇㅇ [Message deleted.]
“And I don’t have any strategies I’ve thought of ahead of time…. Just survive well, and take down those heretics…. Surviving is the most important thing, so keep that in mind….”
This war was a points-based match where players contributed by performing actions.
Where a player’s contributions determine where their faction stands.
How many players survived from each faction.
How many enemies were defeated by each faction.
All those perspectives would be calculated, and points would be awarded to each faction; at the end of the war, the faction with the highest total points wins.
This would repeat that process five times until the faction with the most victories crowned the final winner.
In the event of a tie, the accumulated points would be recalculated once more to determine a winner.
Essentially meaning one had to win at least twice to have any hope of grasping the title of final winner.
“Hoo….”
─Are you confident you can win?
“…Honestly, I don’t have confidence.”
─?
─Iya Coin is going to crash immediately lol
─It’s okay Rene, we can just play a horror game later ㅇㅇ
─For real lol
─I don’t expect to win from the start, better downvote it lol
“I don’t have a victory guarantee….”
Because I’m an Inquisition Officer.
As an Inquisition Officer, I deemed them as heretics.
During interrogations, I was always a beacon of justice, after all.
─Whoa lol
─Whoa lol
─Totally epic 🔥
─So cool ㄷㄷ
It was Judgment Time.
