[I’m going to challenge the PVP ranked matches]
[New Dimension | 23 viewers currently | 2:01:21]
The PVP ranked matches in New Dimension start with a total of 10 placement matches when you first begin.
They measure your skills by analyzing your record in normal games, your rank from the previous season, and your win rate in placement matches.
And since I’ve never challenged a PVP ranked match, what really mattered were my records in normal games and my win rate in placements.
One viewer told me my win rate in normal games was an overall 155 matches, 52 wins, and 103 losses.
Honestly, that was an extremely low win rate.
The reason the initial match took so long was precisely because of that win rate.
My MMR had completely fallen apart due to not being able to surpass 50%.
Moreover, since there were fewer users in PVP for New Dimension, the matching time had to be even longer.
…But because matching was taking so long, I ended up facing a B rank heretic right from my first placement match.
Thanks to winning that match, my next opponent was also set to be B rank.
Placement matches award a ton of points just for winning, and for someone like me who hadn’t even done ranked matches, if I could just keep winning in a row, ranking up would be a piece of cake.
Especially if my opponent had a higher rank than my MMR.
Well, as long as winning was a given.
Anyway, as of now, my PVP record is 10 matches, 10 wins. A 100% win rate.
[Rank A 98 points]
In other words, it’s only natural for my rank to be high.
─Wow, first rank is A 98, lol
─Isn’t this a new record?
─This is crazy!
─Just four more wins and I’ll be S rank, damn it!
“How high is this…?”
But since I’m the one involved, I had no real knowledge about this rank, so no matter how much the viewers praised me, I couldn’t grasp it fully.
─Check it later on the record search site, go ahead
─You’re in the top 0.5%, Master
Top 0.5%, huh.
That’s surprisingly high.
If I add one more win from here, I can reach A rank 100 points and be eligible for promotion, and if I win three times there, I can get promoted to S rank.
And starting from S rank, 100 points isn’t the limit; the score keeps rising, and if the score gets into the top 500, BAM! Ex rank achieved.
“Hmm…”
Should I make a run for S rank from here?
It’d be a lie to say that thought didn’t cross my mind.
But having already been broadcasting for almost two hours, I was feeling more exhausted than I expected.
I didn’t feel this way when I was just playing New Dimension, but checking the mood of the chat window was surprisingly mentally draining for me.
Having to maintain communication was also one of the causes.
So I thought I should start winding down for today.
“I’ll stop here for today…”
─?
─Are you kidding, Master?
─Shut up, dude
─You’re playing around when you’re just four wins away from S rank?
For some reason, the mood in the chat window was grim.
Do they really want to see me get to S rank that badly?
But I’m just too tired right now!
“Goodbye, everyone…”
After setting my avatar, dressed in full body armor, to be visible on the screen, I waved goodbye and ended the broadcast.
─Dude, come on, seriously
─Open the door, I’m totally serious right now
─You’re already leaving, huh?
─I need to go directly hunt for you in the gallery!
Then the chat window started to blaze up, seemingly regretful that I had left.
Well, I felt a bit regretful too, but… I was too tired.
Anyway, before stepping out of the reverse capsule, I checked one last time.
Today, the average viewer count was 18. The follower count increased to 23.
That’s a surprisingly rapid growth rate.
Of course, the influence from New Dimension is significant, but with this, I could probably shed my newbie status soon, right?
Even if I didn’t want to harbor unnecessary hopes, my mind continued to entertain delightful fantasies.
“Ugh…”
After waking up from the reverse capsule and stretching, I sat down at my computer.
Of course, I can watch the gallery and OnTube even from the reverse capsule.
But browsing the internet is just so much more comfortable on a computer.
First, I opened the PVP record search site that a viewer mentioned earlier.
When I searched for my nickname there, all the PVP records I’d made so far were displayed.
[Inquisition Officer – A rank (Top 0.48%)]
[Overall Record: 165 matches, 62 wins, 103 losses]
[Rank Record: 10 matches, 10 wins, 0 losses]
“Wow…”
Earlier, someone said I was in the top 0.5%, but it’s precisely 0.48%.
I heard that to be A rank, you need to be in at least the top 5%, so I guess A rank ranges roughly from top 0.5% to 5% skill-wise.
Seeing the numbers with my own eyes made it hit me that this is, in fact, a high score.
Anyway, now that I’ve roughly checked my PVP skills, I moved on to the next task—accessing New Dimension Gallery.
First, let’s start by browsing the concept posts…
【Title: Ho123guy, hello, Heretic Inquisition Officer!】(23)
【Title: Let’s check that guy’s gallery history】(51)
【Title: Just that guy who stayed the same no matter what happened…】(39)
【Title: Why use a voice changer? Is he really a total gay?】(19)
【Title: So the conclusion is that guy pushed away all the priest entrants?】(11)
…Hmm.
Should I skip today’s concept post browsing?
The titles that pierced my heart were too painful to look at.
They say people ahead of their time suffer persecution, but come on, this is a bit much…
How about checking the normal threads for opinions on the broadcast instead?
Most of the people who came to today’s broadcast probably came from the gallery anyway.
【Title + Content [▼]】 [Inquisition Officer [🔍]]
【Title: Why is that Inquisition Officer using a voice changer?】(4)
【Title: Why are you watching that voice changer stream?】(2)
【Title: A rank placement match 98 points, lol】(4)
【Title: Thinking about there’s a guy behind that voice really pisses me off】(6)
Well, this was expected, huh?
There are a lot of discussions about the voice changer.
The question about why I’m using a voice changer is the most common.
But this was my own strategy.
At first, drawing attention with a voice changer, and once enough fixed viewers were there, revealing that I’m a real woman?
It would surely become a hot topic in many ways.
“Wow, the real Inquisition Officer who tried to redeem heretics in New Dimension was actually a woman?!”
That should attract a lot more viewers.
Hmm. It’s a perfect plan, if I do say so myself.
Anyway, apart from that, there are also discussions about the PVP rank… Thankfully, it doesn’t look like the atmosphere is bad.
[Incoming call from Tuni]
[📞 | ❌]
While I was browsing through the gallery posts, Tuni called me.
Honestly, I wanted to just collapse onto my bed because I was getting tired, but Tuni is my mentor in internet streaming.
I couldn’t ignore her even if I wanted to.
Ding!
[Hello?]
“Hello…”
I greeted her while holding back a yawn as Tuni’s voice played, punctuated by sound effects.
I didn’t want to get her worried unnecessarily…
[I heard you were broadcasting until just now? I missed it since I was streaming too, but some of my viewers mentioned it.]
“Ah, yes…”
[Is the broadcasting going well? I feel bad for not being much help since I’m also just a newbie…]
“Uh, um. I think it’s going alright. Your advice was helpful…”
…Should I have answered the phone?
She really wouldn’t stop talking like a true streamer.
I probably felt more exhausted due to the situation.
[So that’s a relief. I pondered watching your first… or should I say second broadcast, but the timing didn’t quite work out.]
“…Should I send you the video? I think it’d be good to get your feedback on this broadcast too…”
[Oh, um. I have my own circumstances…]
“Ah, I’m sorry…”
[No, no. It’s fine. You haven’t been at it long, so it’s understandable to find it difficult. But, since you relied on me, I’ll make sure to watch some of your channel’s replays tonight and let you know what I think. Okay?]
“Thank you…”
Tuni, she’s such a nice person.
If she weren’t a heretic in the New Dimension…
[Oh! I must be keeping you too long since you’ve just finished your broadcast. You should rest well, Rene. I’ll leave my feedback through Miscode!]
“Ah, you too, please take a good rest…”
With that, she immediately hung up.
She stepped back just before my mental fatigue hit its limit.
It’s truly a shame that she’s a heretic.
Next time, I’ll definitely help her to repent properly.
With that resolve, I turned off my computer and collapsed onto my bed.
[Tuni: I have questions, and I think it’ll be good for you if I directly adjust your broadcasting settings]
[Tuni: Would it be okay if I come to your place?]
When I woke up, Tuni had proposed to meet in real life.
…I want to decline.
Is there really a good way to refuse?
★
In a dark room, a woman’s voice softly emerged along with the small light of a mobile phone.
[God is… in your hearts….]
─There’s Elun God in my heart
[Looks like a heretic was hiding. I’ll ban you for 3 minutes.]
“…Was she really broadcasting like this?”
And the Inquisition Officer… ‘Rene’s’ broadcast was being watched by Tuni, whose voice carried a hint of disappointment.
