As the researchers touched the control panel on the corner of the screen, colored smoke began to obscure the monster.
The sedative-laden gas that the creature inhaled caused it to gradually shrink in size, eventually collapsing into a human shape.
A man stained with green and blue monster blood lay there, with a barcode-like mark on one side of his neck, and the clearly visible letters “CXI” printed above it.
He was an experimental subject of this laboratory.
“Still not dying, huh. Its durability is indeed close to the desired specification…”
“Being non-compliant makes it useless. Might as well dispose of it quickly this time too.”
“Combat data collection…tsk.”
In the shadows, the researchers signed the electronic document, issuing an order for disposal.
The document prominently bore the stamp “Failure.”
