Lin Nuo and the others entered Wind Sea Forest, looking at the Xuanyun Compass in their hands; as they walked together, the green dots moved in unison.

“To be safe, let’s try to stick together,” Zhou Jianhu said, leading the way.

Guan Lei countered, “I don’t think that’s necessary. Just look at how many sect disciples have come in. If we stick together, our efficiency will be too low. If we’re not careful, the monsters might get cleared out by them, and we’ll miss out on the treasures. I suggest we split up. After all, we have the compass and the spirit ring, so we can look out for each other.”

Zhou Jianhu expressed his concerns, “The terrain in Wind Sea Forest is complex, and the deeper we go, the more dangerous it gets. Splitting up might not be a good idea.”

Guan Lei shrugged off the worry, “What’s the problem with that? My second senior brother Xu Yu Dong is at the fifth level, so he can take me. You, Zhou Jianhu, are also at the fifth level and can take your junior sister Zhao Yuedong. As for Han Fairy’s lineage, Sister Shuqin is at the sixth level and can take Lin Nuo and Sister Kexin with her. It’s efficient and safe; totally feasible.”

Guan Lei had even arranged the pairs beforehand, taking the strong and weak into account—fifth level and above in a place like Wind Sea Forest would be just fine.

Despite Zhou Jianhu’s repeated persuasion, after some discussion, everyone ultimately agreed to Guan Lei’s plan.

Lin Nuo felt a bit apologetic about his earlier taunts towards Guan Lei’s incompetence.

The seven disciples split into three teams and set off on three paths to explore the reason behind the monster riots, all of them using the compass and spirit ring to keep tabs on each other’s positions.

Lin Nuo, Su Kexin, and Liu Shuqin proceeded from the southeastern side, delving deeper into the Wind Sea Forest.

“Kill him?!” Guan Lei exclaimed, surprised. “Second brother, didn’t we agree to just teach him a harsh lesson? Even though he’s aggravating, you don’t have to kill him, right?”

“Not just him; we’ll kill everyone.”

Xu Yu Dong slightly raised his right hand and placed it on Guan Lei’s forehead.

“Even you.”

Guan Lei’s eyes turned white as he fell to the ground.

His breathing and heartbeat stopped.

He was dead.

With just one palm strike, the demonic aura coursed through Guan Lei’s entire body, killing him instantly.

Not a hint of defense.

“Everyone come out.”

Xu Yu Dong casually waved his right hand, and in an instant, several masked men in black appeared nearby.

“Report, young master. Everything is ready.”

“Good, most people have entered Wind Sea Forest. Create a mist, and eliminate all the disciples from various sects inside. And dispose of this corpse too.”

The men in black carried Guan Lei’s body and quickly retreated from the scene.

Xu Yu Dong chuckled coldly as he walked further into Wind Sea Forest.

Soon after, he reached a cave, walking inside with numerous fire pits igniting fierce flames along the way.

“Fourth uncle, the disciples of Xuanyun Sect have penetrated deep into Wind Sea Forest; we can begin.”

“Good, Yu Dong, well done, just like my nephew.”

A middle-aged man clad in a long black robe smiled.

“All units stand by; the plan begins!”
