Qin Dao received the news that most of the demon soldiers sent to capture the Fox People had met a disastrous end at the scene.

And they had died at the hands of the Immortals, those who had allied against them.

“Forget it, death on the battlefield is a common occurrence. The commander was too reckless, eager for merit, which led to this outcome. No worries, they weren’t exactly elites, so their deaths can easily be replaced. But it’s a pity that the mutated Demon Spikes are also gone.”

Qin Dao sighed. There weren’t many of their mutated demons left, and the Demon Spike was one of them; to lose it in battle was indeed unfortunate.

A demon subordinate came to report, stating they were working on breaking the Qin family’s ice, but alas, they still couldn’t succeed.

Many had been encased in ice, but their lives remained; once thawed, they could revive.

Liang Zhao stroked his long beard, appearing much more composed compared to Qin Dao, who was clearly agitated.

He pressed further inside, seeing more and more ferocious demons, each one more grotesque than the last.

“These should be mutated demons. Mass-produced, huh? How many must have died? Ugh, how many died is none of my business; the more that die, the better!”

The deeper Lin Nuo went, the colder it became. He had to increase the intensity of his Spirit Technique, but it seemed the frozen domain sensed his magic, causing some tremors in the ground.

All he could hear was Qin Shili calling his name, yet he couldn’t pinpoint her location.

Another call, but this time her voice sounded more painful, as if she was suffering from something.

“This…”

The entire frozen domain began to shake, from weak to strong, as if an earthquake had struck. The nearby ice chunks were cracking, and he could even start to hear the low howls of the demons.

“It’s going to collapse; I need to move fast.”

Lin Nuo quickly stood up, braving the cold as he dashed forward, finally spotting her among the frozen demons. She was on her knees, clutching her chest, looking in pain.

“Alright, finally found you.”

Lin Nuo rushed over, wanting to carry her out, but her body was ice cold. The moment he touched her, he had to quickly retract his hand to avoid being frozen.

“Can you still hold on?”

As he spoke, he used magic to warm himself; otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to withstand it.

She raised her head slightly and saw another living being apart from her; it was her expected hero.
