Chapter 1163

<Episode 1163> Day 15

[Sung Yoojin

Level: 80

Strength: 100 Stamina: 100 Agility: 100 Intelligence: 100 Libido: 100 Mana: 100]

[Available Points: 8,517]

After returning from the Game World, I first checked my points.

8,517 points.

“Hmm, should I boost Libido first?”

[Increasing Libido requires 400 points.]

[Do you wish to increase Libido?]

Seeing the notification window, I clicked my tongue absentmindedly. 400 points! That’s 400 random draws. Of course, even if I did 400 random draws, there’s no guarantee I’d get something worth that much…

“But hey, I can always earn more points. Boosting stats is an investment in myself.”

[Sung Yoojin

Level: 80

Strength: 100 Stamina: 100 Agility: 100 Intelligence: 100 Libido: 110 Mana: 100]

[Available Points: 4,517]

[Increasing Libido now requires 600 points.]

[Do you wish to increase Libido?]

“Looks like it costs 600 points per stat after hitting 100…”

I decided to save the remaining 4,500 points for emergencies. You never know when you’ll need them urgently.

I got up and walked towards the window. Pulling back the curtain, I gazed outside. The sun had already set. Countless cars lined up on the road – nothing surprising, just the usual rush hour scene.

Staring blankly out the window for a while, I found myself falling into that ridiculous thought again: “If reality were part of some fictional world… who would be the protagonist? Would it be me, with this Leisure Life app power?”

The more I thought about it, the more obvious it became – there was no one else but me. In this world, I was the most special one, having awakened the Leisure Life app ability.

“Whether my reality is a fictional world or not… doesn’t matter. I just need to enjoy my own life.”

Pulling out my smartphone, I checked the date. No particular schedule today – things are pretty relaxed for now. As usual, I’ll hunt monsters at the C-Rank dungeon to earn money and achievements, then spend pleasant times with my girlfriends.

“If I ever feel like trying something different, I can always enter the Game World.”

Brrr.

A message came from my friend Oh Joon-hyuk.

He wanted to hit the club for a Friday night out after a long time. After some consideration, I agreed. Honestly, I don’t expect to meet any great women there – girls like Han Harin or Ha Seunghee don’t usually hang out in clubs. Meeting someone that beautiful would require incredible luck.

Still, I go for Joon-hyuk’s sake.

“Whatever people say, he’s my friend. Back in our freshman year, I benefited from him too.”

Occasionally hanging out with Joon-hyuk isn’t bad – he’s an entertaining guy.

I went back inside to change clothes. Though I’m not stylish myself, casual wear works fine.

“All outfits must be top-tier brands… and I should wear the wristwatch I bought for today.”

In this day and age where everyone has smartphones, wristwatches aren’t for telling time anymore – they’re for showing off.

I put on the 10 billion won watch I bought for this occasion.

Ten days passed.

I lounged comfortably on the sofa.

“Maybe it’s time to enter the Game World again. That ‘Academy Savior’ world from last time…”

“…so here we are, entering the *Gwangmyeong Seungcheon-do* realm.”

Just as I was about to step into the world of Gwangmyeong Seungcheon-do, I noticed something—my Leisure Quest had refreshed. Without hesitation, I hit the refresh button and checked it out.

As I carelessly skimmed through the quests, one particular updated quest caught my eye, making me widen my eyes in shock.

[15 Days

Trapped in a remote mountain village in Japan.

The village of Ooakaruma hides a mysterious secret. It’s eerie and dangerous. You must survive in Ooakaruma Village. Escape, hide, trade, kill—whatever method you choose doesn’t matter. Just survive.

Escape from Ooakaruma Village or survive for 15 days.

※Multiple penalties apply.]

Fifteen days…

I remember this. Two years ago, I read a Japanese manga with this exact plot: the protagonist group is trapped in a mountain village and has to survive for 15 days. They even made an anime out of it. But while the anime flopped hard, the manga was decently entertaining.

“To be honest, that story didn’t need to be animated. Rumor has it they only picked it because there weren’t any better manga options at the time.”

This wasn’t exactly a world I wanted to dive into…

But the reward tied to this quest—the “Life-and-Death Authority”—was incredibly tempting.

[Life-and-Death Authority

Target’s name and face must be known.

Revive the dead.

Kill the living.

Price –

※Caution

Revived targets may still resurrect if they possess revival abilities.]

“So… this means I can off someone annoying without them even getting a chance to argue?”

And conversely, it could revive the dead too. This item was clearly superior to my current ability, “Revival of the Dead.” I coveted it immensely.

“Even someone like Laplace or Mekin could be taken down with this, right?”

But I had no intention of using it on those two. They were among the strongest in the “[Savior of the Academy]” world. Even if I used the Life-and-Death Authority to kill them once, there was a good chance they’d come back. Besides, I wanted to take them down myself.

“With this, it’s like having two Revival of the Dead abilities. Might not need it immediately, but I definitely want it in my arsenal.”

I selected the quest and checked the penalties.

[Penalty 1: Ordinary Body]

[All stats reset to average human levels. No mana usage allowed.]

[Penalty 2: No Inventory]

[Inventory cannot be accessed.]

[Penalty 3: Spoilers Forbidden]

[No access to original work knowledge.]

[Penalty 4: No Superpowers!]

[Only three traits and skills can be used: Acting, Perfect Recovery, Heightened Sensitivity.]

[You can spend points to reduce penalties.]

[Penalties seem harsh. An advantage is granted.]

[Obtain limited skill ‘Extreme Luck (Lv.Master)’.]

[Extreme Luck Lv.Master

Once per day, extreme luck occurs.

*Limited skill usable only in the ’15 Days’ leisure world.]

When I saw the advantage, my eyes widened again.

“One guaranteed lucky event per day? Is such a skill even possible?”

It was technically a skill, but not one I could control directly. Without firsthand experience, it was hard to judge whether it was useful or not.

“I’ll figure it out once I enter the leisure world. For now, the only really helpful trait/skill seems to be Perfect Recovery…”

Perfect Recovery alone would suffice.

Sure, there are some dangerous foes in the original “15 Days,” but I don’t feel like I’ll lose—not even if my physical abilities drop and I can’t use most traits or skills. My experiences won’t disappear just because my body does.

“My physical stats might decrease, but I’ve been through worse.”

Before entering the leisure world, I briefly hesitated before deciding to mitigate one of the penalties.

[Spending 500 points to reduce Penalty 1: Ordinary Body.]

[Vitality stat set to 20.]

“They say there are quite a few beauties in the original work… and since it’s an adult-rated manga, things get pretty spicy… Average human vitality? There’s no way I’d settle for that. Vitality is essential.”

With the incredible reward of the Life-and-Death Authority at stake, failure simply isn’t an option.

“And I have no intention of failing.”

Besides, if I’m gonna do this, I might as well enjoy it.

“[Leisure begins.]”

Clunk clunk.

The old van rattled along the dirt road. Its condition was so bad that the entire frame groaned under the strain…

It shook. There was definitely something wrong with the van.

Sitting at the very back of the passenger van, I furrowed my brow and glanced around.

“Day 15… I entered this Quest Leisure World to survive, right? The success condition for the quest is… what again?”

I couldn’t remember.

I knew this world was the manga-style realm called [15 Days]. But the objective of the quest eluded me. I also couldn’t recall the original story’s details. However, there was one thing I did remember—me.

“More specifically, my setup.”

I’m Korean but currently studying abroad at Japan’s Naio University as a freshman. Right now, I’m riding in this accident-prone-looking van because of a club.

In Japanese universities, joining either a club or circle is mandatory. Clubs are intense; circles are more laid-back. The Japan Festival Study Circle I joined is one of the freer ones. In fact, I’ve barely participated in any actual activities since joining—it’s practically a paper company, existing only on paper.

“So that’s why I picked this one. Freedom to slack off.”

But now there’s an issue.

The lack of activity has become a problem. The university administration sent out a notice stating that if we want to keep the circle alive, we need to start participating in activities. So here I am, traveling with 10 other not-so-close circle members to a rural village in Miyazaki Prefecture on Kyushu.

“The village name… wasn’t it Oo-karuma Village? What a weird name.”

Our goal is to “study” the summer festival of Oo-karuma Village. Of course, what that really means is taking some photos, enjoying the festival, and heading back. It’s boring and annoying, but investing my time now will ensure a peaceful and free next semester.

“Ugh, my real situation… it ties into this quest, doesn’t it? Dammit. Why can’t I remember the quest conditions? Isn’t it just the original story info I should be forgetting? This is ridiculous.”

I grumbled inwardly.

It’s midsummer. The temperature is already at 38 degrees Celsius, and the humidity is no joke. To make matters worse, the van’s air conditioning decided to break down, leaving us sweltering in sweat even while sitting still. Naturally, the windows are open, but the hot wind blowing in only makes things worse.

Clunk clunk.

The van shakes again. We’re heading deep into the mountains. Our destination, Oo-karuma Village, has a population of about 150 people, which is relatively large compared to other villages in the area. Most of them are probably elderly.

Wiping the sweat from my forehead with a handkerchief, I scanned the inside of the van.

Including myself, there are 12 of us total. Originally, there were over 30 members, but the rest transferred to other clubs.

“7 guys and 5 girls. The gender ratio isn’t bad.”

Two of the girls are stunning beauties you don’t see every day. The other three are average or below.

“I gotta hit it off with those two.”

One of them sits near the front. She has long black hair flowing down her back and a delicate, elegant face. Let’s call her Nadeshiko—the classic refined lady type. Her name is Ha-Gawa Ryouko.

The other beauty is Nakagami Lisa.

She’s sitting right next to me, a third-year senior scrolling through her smartphone. Her fingers, adorned with long fake nails, tap away rhythmically. Her orange-brown wavy hair frames a sharp, cat-like face.

Rumor has it she works part-time as a model. She certainly fits the gal style aesthetic.

“How should I strike up a conversation with her…”

Ha-Gawa Ryouko’s neighbor suddenly turned his head and stared at me. I met his gaze coolly without flinching, and after a moment of awkwardness, he chuckled nervously and looked away.

Wada Kyoushiro.

He’s Ryouko’s childhood friend. As far as I know, they’re not officially dating yet.

“Does Ryouko have feelings for him? Is she waiting for his confession?”

Something clicked in my mind.

Wada Kyoushiro. That guy is probably the protagonist of this world.

“KYAAAAAAAHHHHH!”

Suddenly, a quiet girl with short hair and glasses seated up front—Nebata Noriko—let out a blood-curdling scream and ducked her head. Everyone’s attention snapped toward her.

The cause of the scream? An insect. A single hornet had flown into the car and was now circling above Noriko’s head.
