Chapter 118

Heavenly Yuah’s fan meeting is held simultaneously with a fan signing event, and therefore, it is said that not many fans can be invited.

This fan meeting has also been set with an invitation limit of 300 people, just like before.

Even though signatures are included, handling 300 people is quite a lot, but it seems manageable?

Heavenly Yuah appears to have steel-like stamina after all.

The membership count for the Heavenly Yuah fan club is about 40,000. And among those, the number of fans who want to participate in the fan meeting was more than half.

Out of those 40,000, only 300 people are invited to the fan meeting, so the competition rate is quite remarkable.

Moreover, this side relies entirely on luck through a lottery system.

Since it’s not like an idol fan meeting where you can increase your chances by buying lots of albums, in a one-person, one-vote situation, all you can do is wait to see if you get selected.

I can understand why there is a plea for Heavenly Yuah to increase her fan service activities in Divine River Ascension.

Curious about the atmosphere here, I also joined Divine River Ascension for this event.

Joining here is not as difficult as it is for my fan club.

Actually, my side is a bit unusual in that regard.

There isn’t any other entertainer’s fan club that asks such peculiar questions to create its own entry barriers.

“Damn! Not this time too…”

“Heavenly Yuah fan meeting, eighth attempt, failure.”

“Ninth attempt, fail. Looking to buy a ticket from those who’ve forfeited after winning the lottery. Of course, they won’t sell.”

“Seriously, why only 300? It’s fine if I can’t get an autograph, but please just let me attend!”

Chaos erupted everywhere once the fan meeting participant numbers had been decided.

It seems that among the fans who have been supporting Heavenly Yuah since her debut, there are quite a few who haven’t yet experienced a fan meeting.

Just calculating it simply, the situation becomes clear.

If she’s met 300 people every year for ten years, that means around 3,000 people have participated in fan meetings so far, but with tens of thousands of fans waiting in the Heavenly Yuah fan club, it makes sense.

“Should we consider increasing the number of fan meetings?”

“Hmm, that’s something I’ve never thought of.”

“…Wait, you’ve never thought of that? Are you not a member of the fan club?”

“Actors’ fandoms only started actively engaging quite recently. The number of members in my fan club also increased suddenly over the past few years.”

“Still…”

“I just prefer to keep doing what I’ve always done. I’m not particularly keen on direct contact with fans, so I rarely visit fan cafes.”

“…Is that so?”

It’s been ten years since Heavenly Yuah debuted.

As she said, actors’ fandoms didn’t start gathering like idol fandoms until fairly recently, and Heavenly Yuah’s fandom wasn’t especially active in the beginning.

However, in ten years, mountains and rivers can change, and what was once a passive actors’ fandom has now started to support the actors themselves rather than just their roles.

It was around this time that fans began asking for more active fan services from actors.

But Heavenly Yuah, who debuted during a quieter period for actors’ fandoms, continues to approach fans the old way, unaffected by the current trends.

She’s rather outdated for her age.

It seems that one of the reasons why her fan club membership is relatively small compared to her position is due to this.

Not to mention idols—let’s compare her to the same female actor, Jin Seo-hee. Even Jin Seo-hee has more fan club members than Heavenly Yuah.

Of course, just because they have more fan club members doesn’t mean they’re better actors than Heavenly Yuah, but she is far too self-oriented for an entertainer.

She doesn’t even seem to consider what her fan club members want.

Thus, apart from doing the acting she wants to, this woman seems to have no interest in anything else.

“When you look at it that way, it’s quite unusual that someone like me would be interested. Was the Demon Queen event that impactful? Honestly, I have no idea.”

In a strange way, this feels oddly genuine, which is why it seems peculiar.

After all, it goes without saying that avoiding scandals is crucial if she wants to continue her acting career properly, doesn’t it?

If something were to develop between her and me, it’s bound to show somehow, but she doesn’t seem overly concerned about it.

Or maybe it’s because she’s confident that scandals won’t affect her acting career at all?

Heavenly Yuah might very well be capable of such confidence.

She’s always been charming for her self-assurance and confidence.

“Honestly, in this regard, I’m better than Senior Suyeon…”

Not like Moon Suyeon, who tilts her head at every official event wondering if it’s time for a scandal with someone clinging to her side.

At least Heavenly Yuah keeps a minimum level of decorum (?), so in this area, she seems somewhat better.

Of course, it would be better if they both restrained themselves a bit and provided more fan service.

Whether or not fans vented their frustration about wanting to attend the fan meeting, time passed, and the day of the fan meeting arrived.

The agreed-upon 300 people gathered without any missing, filling up the concert hall.

Though I thought there might be some who applied but didn’t show since the fan meeting itself was free, there was no one absent.

The die-hard fans who’ve endured through the lack of fan service from Heavenly Yuah’s fan club evidently have a firm commitment to their fandom.

“The condition… isn’t looking that great.”

“That’s actually good enough.”

“In that case, that’s a relief.”

Heavenly Yuah showed no signs of nervousness ahead of the fan meeting.

It was the composure of a 10-year veteran.

Only, despite that, her physical state didn’t look too good.

This was probably due to the headaches of unknown cause she struggled with during the preparation for the fan meeting.

“I’m a bit worried about both special performances since they’re physically demanding.”

“That side might actually be better. It’s not a problem with stamina.”

“True, considering there were no issues during practice…”

Her stamina indeed remained solid despite the ongoing headaches, as if her usual reserves were simply too extraordinary to be hindered by such setbacks.

“I must say, her insane physical capabilities and athleticism are somewhat enviable.”

“Suyeon senior has great stamina, too.”

“Still, there’s no way to compare Suyeon with you, Yuah. I even doubt if you’re human. Although, considering that you exercised at dawn…”

“Yeah, it was a bit extreme.”

“Anyway, the practice went incredibly well, so the stage should be fine.”

Seeing how Moon Suyeon reacted, it seems there were no issues with the practice itself.

Recalling how she practiced with me, there didn’t seem to be any problems either.

Nevertheless, her condition is indeed less than ideal, so I should keep a close eye until the end.

“Divine! River! Ascension! Divine! River! Ascension!”

“Heavenly Yuah! Heavenly Yuah!”

As the fan meeting began, chants of Heavenly Yuah’s name erupted from all directions.

Within this fervent atmosphere, she ascended the stage.

The lift prepared in advance began lowering Moon Suyeon below her.

Thus began the opening performance, a joint stage by Heavenly Yuah and Moon Suyeon.

The theme of Heavenly Yuah and Moon Suyeon’s joint stage was “Decalcomania.”

The stage itself is rather simple in structure.

With the two people standing side by side, they dance in mirror-like symmetry, as if seeing their reflections.

The only challenge is that they need to perfectly harmonize, maintaining a flawless connection throughout the symmetry.

At one point, they separate and then merge again, performing the exact same choreography.

Eventually, the performance ends as it began, with the two dancing oppositely once more.

“Though the structure itself may be simple, it requires intense practice.”

Of course, Moon Suyeon adjusts to Heavenly Yuah, but I think it’s impressive that she can synchronize so well with the legendary Luna.

“Wow, the costumes are great.”

The costumes match the theme of “Decalcomania.”

Heavenly Yuah, in a white top with black pants, and Moon Suyeon, in black pants with a white top.

They each have custom wigs; Heavenly Yuah wears a black one, and Moon Suyeon wears a white one.

Even more impressively, they’re roughly the same height, making the pair appear like they were stamped in symmetry.

“Only the costumes being too skimpy might be an issue…”

With the exception of the overly short hot pants and exposed midriffs, the costumes could be considered perfect for the stage.

Of course, I can understand wanting to show off those beautifully toned abs, considering how much effort they put in.

🎶 “Dun dun~~~♪~~~ dun dun doom doom~~ dun~” 🎶

As the two figures appeared, perfectly symmetrical, the music began to play.

Step, stepstep.

The perfect synchronization of their movements, as if measured with a ruler, elicited spontaneous gasps.

“Wow…”

Particularly when the two merged and then separated, flawlessly executing identical movements, it sent a shiver down my spine.

Even someone like me, who had occasionally observed their practice sessions, couldn’t help but marvel at how incredible it was—so imagine the fans’ reactions.

– “WAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!”

The crowd cheered wildly, applauding the stunning performance the two delivered.

“Brilliant, so brilliant.”

After appreciating the brilliant coordination the two showed on stage and celebrating their hard work, the crowd gave a quiet round of applause.

It was an exceptionally brilliant performance from both stars.

After completing the first special stage, Heavenly Yuah ascended the stage to interact with the fans.

She currently holds the question slips submitted by the fans, answering each one and enjoying the time.

Even after ten years of activity, the fans had endless curiosities about Heavenly Yuah.

Since she rarely engages in anything outside of her acting activities, she remains, in a sense, shrouded in mystery.

“Do they really ask about everything? Is this always the atmosphere?”

“Somewhat. Heavenly Yuah is…”

“Such a mystic figure, isn’t she?”

“Yes. However, starting this year, there are plans to upload footage of the fan meeting to the fan cafe.”

“…You didn’t do that before?”

“Yes, well. Heavenly Yuah…”

“…The staff here must work extremely hard.”

In today’s world, striving only with acting?

Thinking about it again, this woman really has a lot of guts.

“You should start preparing now.”

“Yes. Senior Yuah should go down.”

With the end of the question-and-answer session, the first stage wrapped up.

For the second stage, Heavenly Yuah and I will ascend the stage together.

Even after stepping down from the stage, Heavenly Yuah quickly changed into her costume.

Violet and Lee Myung, huh.

It’s been a while since we’ve done this, hasn’t it?

Or…not that long? We wore similar outfits at the year-end awards ceremony.

After changing into Lee Myung’s black martial uniform and putting on my sword, I walked out into the corridor where Heavenly Yuah, now transformed into Violet, was heading toward me.

“Are you ready?”

“The preparation should be up to Senior Yuah. Are you sure it’ll go smoothly?”

“Hmph. This is Heavenly Yuah we’re talking about. It’s still too early for you to worry about me, Siwoo.”

“Alright, sounds good. See you on stage, then.”

“Right. See you.”

The drama had them on the same side, so their characters never clashed through action.

But for this special stage, their characters will now engage in a proper action scene.

It wasn’t my idea; this was a scene planned by Heavenly Yuah.

Though I did contribute a few elements while discussing.

The scene seemed too plain to be executed exactly as she envisioned.

Desiring to deliver a proper performance, I added some intensity.

With that in mind, I reviewed the upcoming action scene in my head as I slowly made my way toward the lift.
