Chapter 120: If You’re Scared, Just Terminate the Contract

Chapter 120: If You’re Scared, Just Terminate the Contract

Ignoring Carl, who was trying to stop her, Aierjisi boldly followed the location the contract pointed to and found Yake sitting alone in a room.

“That’s just ridiculous.”

Looking at Yake, curled up in the corner like a sad puppy, Aierjisi could only voice this one remark. Yake certainly looked ridiculous, a grown man sobbing against the wall.

“What are you doing here?”

After a moment, Yake finally spoke up.

“Of course I’m here to find you. As your master, how could I just stand by and let my servant cry alone in a room? The Celebration Feast is starting soon, how long do you plan on moping here?”

“Just leave me alone. I don’t care about this Celebration Feast.”

Having learned such heavy news, how could Yake possibly have the mood to attend a feast?

“I figured as much. Knowing something like that, you certainly wouldn’t be able to go to the feast.”

“You knew already?”

“No. I just found out a little while ago. If Father King hadn’t mentioned the contract, I wouldn’t have known it would affect you this much.”

“So what do you want from me? If you’re here to attend the Celebration Feast, just hurry and go. Leave me be, I just want to sit here quietly.”

Yake said in despair, feeling like he was turning into something else entirely. He had given up on expectations for himself, knowing he couldn’t do anything about it.

“This is so embarrassing. Yake, as my servant, how could you be here crying in the corner? It’s seriously shameful.”

“Say whatever you want. I’m not leaving this place today.”

“And what will crying do for you? Can it change the fact that you’re dying as a human?”

“Isn’t this all still your fault? If you hadn’t made me sign that contract back then, I wouldn’t be in this situation!”

“My fault… is it? So you think it’s all on me? Fine. If you believe that’s true, I’ll give you an out. If you want to stop this, you just need to write your name on this paper.”

Aierjisi threw a piece of paper and a pen onto the floor.

“What does this mean? Application to nullify the contract?”

Yake picked up the paper and glanced at it.

“It means exactly what it says. If you think it’s my fault you’re like this, and you believe if you hadn’t signed the contract you could return to being human, then just sign your name. If that’s the case, I’ll sever our connection. But don’t worry, if the contract is cut, our shared life will end, but I won’t let you die; I’ll be the only one who dies.”

Aierjisi coldly stated this while Yake trembled, still clutching the paper.

If he writes his name on this contract, he can terminate it and end his mutation. He could still live happily as a human in this world.

Right?

“What’s up? Are you just a useless chatterbox? What are you hesitating for? Just sign your name on this application, and I’ll sever the contract, letting you go back to being a human and enjoying life.”

Seeing Yake still holding the application with shaky hands, Aierjisi grew increasingly frustrated. She stepped forward and snatched it from his hands.

“What’s wrong? You finally have a chance like this, and you can’t seize it? If that’s the case, I’ll write my name instead, and our connection will be severed. Gimme that! If you can’t do it, I’ll do it!”

As Aierjisi tried to get the application back from Yake, he stubbornly wouldn’t let go.

Rip…

Caught between them, the application couldn’t withstand their strength, tearing in half and falling to the floor. They both fell back in opposite directions.

“You idiot…”

Seeing her application torn in two, Aierjisi couldn’t hold back anymore and rushed to Yake, unleashing a flurry of punches.

“What do you want? If you think this is all my fault, then just write your name like a good boy! You get a chance, and you’re useless! If you can’t do it, let me do it! What are you trying to achieve?”

Pushing Yake down, Aierjisi kept punching his chest and face.

“I can’t, I just can’t! What do you expect from me?!”

Yake was utterly confused, unsure of what he was supposed to do. Realizing he was slowly becoming something else was overwhelming.

But ending the contract with Aierjisi and letting her die because of this, he just couldn’t bring himself to do it.

After all, he was just an ordinary Adventurer, and suddenly being faced with such a dilemma? How could he make a choice so quickly?

Riding on Yake and punching him, Aierjisi eventually got tired. She just lay down next to him and took a breather.

“Hard to choose, huh? Finding out you’re not human anymore must be quite the blow. Your feelings aren’t hard to understand; I felt the same when I first realized what I’d become in this world, turning into my favorite Blood Clan Little Princess, with you as my servant.

To say I wasn’t scared would be a lie. I hadn’t done anything yet, and suddenly I was lying in a strange man’s house.

And we were even sharing the same bed… just thinking about it is frightening. Fortunately, I had no feelings for you back then.

If I’d woken up and realized I’d gotten pregnant during my amnesia…

That’s a whole other level of shocking, don’t you think?
