Chapter 1270

<Chapter 1270> 1270. Dark Moon

When Yuria entered this World, she was in the middle of a sparring match with someone.

Her opponent was a woman with hair like burning Flame, crimson and fierce. She towered over Yuria—not just in height, but in overall build as well. Still, proportionally speaking, her figure was similar to Yuria’s.

“Yuria, what’s wrong? Spacing out like this isn’t like you.”

Despite her seemingly concerned words, she swung her sword without holding back. Yuria raised her own blade to block it, but the force behind the blow was overwhelming—far beyond what she could handle at the moment. Pushing her blade aside, Yuria stepped back.

“Hoooh. You’ve gotten softer. Did you achieve some kind of enlightenment?”

And with that, she charged forward.

A brute-force style of swordplay.

Yuria continued defending herself with fluid, instinctive movements. But her mind wasn’t focused on the spar—it was lost in rising memories.

“…Yuria Grace.”

The name of her original self and this World’s self were identical. The appearance too matched perfectly. However, their backgrounds differed entirely. Yuria was currently recalling the memories of her life in this world.

“Haha! Great job, Yuria!”

Flames erupted from her sword.

‘This isn’t actual Flame… it’s an Aura resembling Flame.’

An Aura as hot as Flame itself.

Yuria infused her blade with her own Aura—a blue one that contrasted sharply with her opponent’s fiery red.

As they exchanged blows, Yuria continued piecing together her fragmented memories.

The first memory: the orphanage.

It was there that Yuria’s talent as a warrior was recognized. Recommended by the orphanage director and sponsored by the Neo Round Table Parliament, she entered the Knight Training Academy.

The woman fighting before her was her roommate from the academy.

Her name: Armina Braver.

A Knight of the Round Table who dreams of reviving the fallen Braver family.

She had been the top student at the academy—the legendary “Monster” of the institution.

Yuria, ranked second, was both her closest friend and rival.

Of course, Yuria didn’t feel that way. To her, Armina was nothing more than a face in her memories. There was no sense of familiarity whatsoever.

The time spent at the academy felt insignificant—just endless days of repetitive knightly training. Boring memories.

“YURIA!!”

Armina shouted her name, raising her sword high. The Aura that had been blazing like Flame compressed into the blade. With a mighty swing, Armina unleashed a wave of fiery energy toward Yuria.

Yuria’s reaction came too late. She’d been too absorbed in sorting through her memories. Dodging was impossible now, and if she blocked it head-on, her arm would suffer severe burns.

Even though healing was possible, she wanted to avoid any physical damage to her body at all costs—it belonged to another after all.

Yuria made her decision…

stared at with widened eyes.

“Yuria, are you serious right now?! Don’t joke around like that! This isn’t funny!”

The room fell silent except for the soft hum of the hairdryer still running. Yuria stood calmly, her expression as composed as ever while she gently ran the dryer through her damp hair.

Armina shot up from the bed, pointing an accusatory finger. “You can’t just throw away everything we’ve worked for! The knighthood, our dreams… Is this some kind of prank? Tell me it’s a prank!”

Without missing a beat, Yuria replied in her usual monotone voice, “I apologize, but my decision is final.”

Armina stomped her foot in frustration. “Ugh, why do you always have to be so cold and calculating?! Fine then! If you’re gonna quit being a knight, what ARE you going to do? Huh?! Sit around all day waiting for your ‘master’ or whatever?”

A faint blush crept onto Yuria’s cheeks at the mention of her true intentions, but she quickly masked it with indifference. “…That is none of your concern.”

Armina threw herself back onto the bed dramatically. “Whatever, Yuria. Do whatever you want. But don’t come crying to me when you regret this later!”

She turned away, crossing her arms stubbornly. Meanwhile, Yuria finished drying her hair and placed the dryer neatly on the desk before heading toward the door.

Before leaving, she paused briefly and said softly, almost imperceptibly, “Thank you… for everything.”

And with that, she walked out, leaving Armina alone in the dorm room, staring at the ceiling with a mixture of confusion and sadness etched across her face.

Little did either of them know how drastically their lives were about to change—and soon enough, even Yuria’s unwavering loyalty might face its greatest test yet…

She stared blankly. Letting out a deep sigh, she absentmindedly scratched her red hair.

“If not a knight… then what will you do?”

“I aim to become a maid.”

“…Did you eat something weird? No, wait, I ate the same things as you so it can’t be that…”

“Being a maid is my true calling.”

“It seems you’ve already made up your mind. No matter how much I try to persuade you, you won’t listen, right?”

Armina lay down limply on the bed.

“I’ve wasted my time.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Alright. It’s your future, so it’s right for you to choose. Can I hire you, at least?”

“I’m sorry. I’ve already planned where to work.”

“The director of the training house will be very disappointed. You know we’ll owe the council too, right? Wasn’t it 350 million credits?”

“Yes, I know. I’ve considered everything before making this decision.”

“Hmm. We’ve been together for 17 years… and now we’re parting like this. It feels strange. We won’t be separated forever, right?”

“I’ll still live in Neo London. If you want to meet, we can see each other anytime.”

“The problem is that we won’t have time to meet for the next year. The thought of how tough it’ll be at the Wales Knights Order makes me nervous already.”

“You’ll get through it, Armina. You always do.”

“To tell the truth, I’m not afraid. Rather, I’m looking forward to it. I will definitely become a Round Table Knight… and restore my family name.”

A week later, Armina officially joined the Wales Knights Order.

Yuria walked through Neo London, dragging her suitcase. Since Neo London’s weather was notoriously unpredictable, bringing an umbrella was essential.

Drrr. Drrrrk.

It was the third day she’d been walking around Big Ben in Neo London. Her purpose was singular: a fateful encounter with her master.

Of course, she knew where her master lived. However, going directly there felt too strange, so she refrained.

“Lady, are you perhaps looking for a job?”

A gentleman in a suit politely inquired.

Yuria smiled gently and shook her head.

“I’ve already found a job.”

“Ah, I see. If you ever feel dissatisfied with your current job, please don’t hesitate to contact us.”

The man handed her a business card. It read “Chief Butler of the Bellat Viscount Family.”

“If the opportunity arises, I might,” she replied.

The man bowed politely and departed.

Yuria tore the business card into pieces and tossed it into the trash can. The sole reason she came to this world was to serve one master. There was no other purpose.

Drrrrk.

She resumed dragging her suitcase along Neo London’s gloomy streets.

And finally, the moment she’d awaited arrived.

In the distance, she spotted her master. Although obscured by the crowd, every detail—the presence, the aura, the way of walking—confirmed it was her master.

Thump.

Yuria felt her heart race. The dreary gray world transformed into a vibrant, colorful one.

Drrrrk. Drrk!

She took care not to rush her steps in excitement, forcing herself to maintain composure as she walked.

She grew closer to her master. Her heart pounded with exhilaration.

And finally, they met.

With a gentle smile, she approached her master, feeling a pang of sadness that she didn’t remember her.

But she didn’t show it. Today was a good day.

Just as she was her master’s servant even when she lost her memory, her master remained her master despite losing theirs.

Suppressing the urge to run and embrace her master, Yuria said,

“Hello, Master. Do you happen to need a maid?”
