Stupid jelly.
The Jelly Girl inwardly scolded herself.
Floating within the grumbling Jelly Girl were various kinds of chocolate. The chocolates, which looked incredibly sweet, slowly melted inside her, bestowing a sweet pleasure upon the Jelly Girl’s mind.
However, the expression on the Jelly Girl’s face did not seem particularly cheerful.
If asked which side it leaned toward, one would undoubtedly say it was distorted.
If only she could have furrowed her brow because the chocolates were too delicious.
The reason the Jelly Girl frowned was, in a way, quite trivial.
It was just… that she had put on some clothes. Moreover, they were adorable outfits that suited her appearance wonderfully, crafted with obvious dedication.
At least there was one thing to be thankful for.
The Jelly Girl could not see her appearance in her field of vision.
Though her vision was obstructed by the clothes and it was inconvenient, she thought that since she couldn’t see it herself, it might be okay.
But no sooner had the Jelly Girl thought that than Kim Cheon-soo, who had gone outside to escape the two women’s incessant nagging, returned to the room. What he held in his hands sent a shiver down her spine.
It was because Kim Cheon-soo was holding a fairly large mirror.
What else could it mean?
“Stop! Don’t show me the mirror!”
As the Jelly Girl shouted, all that came out was a jelly-like bubbling sound. In the end, she had no choice but to face her reflection wearing the cute outfit.
When the Jelly Girl met her reflection, she trembled slightly.
…It’s not as strange as I thought it would be.
True, when I think about my current appearance… of course, it suits me well.
With a peculiar feeling, the Jelly Girl slowly melted the chocolate that had entered into the jelly. The chocolates, which should have been clearly visible, were now hidden by the clothes.
Deep down, the Jelly Girl had thought it looked somewhat grotesque but couldn’t help thinking that it wasn’t bad. Her jelly wobbled with that unexpected thought.
The knowledge bubbles within her jelly were shaking violently, as if they were mirroring her mood.
It’s not ‘not bad’; it’s the worst! As the Jelly Girl thought this, she stared intently at the mirror to find faults.
Below the shaking bubble of knowledge that had been trembling until a moment ago, a sullen face appeared. But what was important was below that, so the Jelly Girl lowered her gaze and scanned her overall appearance.
A delicate and well-suited dress in calm tones, as if custom-made for her light blue skin, came into view. At the chest, where there was no resistance, there was an ostentatious large ribbon adorning it, adding grandeur.
The dress stretched smoothly down to her knees, neatly covering the Jelly Girl’s body, giving her an innocent charm.
The dress boldly exposed her arms and below the knees, and was an excellent piece that captured the beauty of strength.
Without realizing it, the Jelly Girl thought it was cute and, startled by that thought, she glanced around. Then she saw Han Seori and Yang Ha-na smiling affectionately.
“Looks like you like it?”
“All our efforts paid off!”
“Aaaagh! No!”
Behind these two, Kim Cheon-soo, who looked like an amused father, and Hwang Bo-yul, who cleared her throat awkwardly, appeared. At their feet stood the other jelly beings who stared at the Jelly Girl while eating chocolate.
When the Jelly Girl saw all this, she decided that chocolate or anything else didn’t matter anymore as she scrambled to take off the dress.
“Maybe I should just tear it off?” she thought, but remembering that Yang Ha-na had worked hard on it, she couldn’t bring herself to tear it.
If the Jelly Girl had been a complete singularity, the dress would have been shredded to pieces already, but since she was a singularity with a human heart, that wasn’t the case.
Though it seemed rough, she carefully took off the dress and tossed it aside. Perplexed by the strange gazes directed at her, she tilted her head.
“Hmm, taking it off after wearing it feels… weird.”
“Although I got used to being undressed, still, wearing something might be better after all…”
“Why are you looking at me?”
Hearing their murmurings, the Jelly Girl felt a slight awkwardness. Though wearing clothes was inconvenient, when she thought about it, she originally was human. Therefore, wearing clothes should have been more natural.
Why didn’t she want to wear clothes? Was it a habit of the singularity?
After serious contemplation, the Jelly Girl looked at the dress in her hand and shook her head.
It’s not that I don’t want to wear clothes; I just don’t want to wear clothes like these.
Do I really think that being naked is better?
Perhaps.
The Jelly Girl nodded slightly to herself at this thought and looked over as Yang Ha-na began rummaging for another dress.
She felt overwhelmed at the thought that this might never end, so she decided she needed to do something.
Observing the figures of Hwang Bo-yul, Han Seori, and Yang Ha-na, something occurred to her.
They had put the Jelly Girl into a delicate, floaty dress, yet they themselves were wearing plain trousers.
Hmm…
The Jelly Girl thought.
Her body took the unmistakable shape of a young girl—not a child but someone with a youthful aura. It was a form that suited delicate, floaty things wonderfully.
The Jelly Girl gazed at the mirror for a moment, realizing that this might be the problem.
If her figure resembled that of Hwang Bo-yul, wouldn’t they have made her a sleek suit or a uniform instead?
Then…
Wouldn’t changing my appearance solve the problem?
The Jelly Girl wasn’t someone who disliked wearing clothes, so this seemed like a potential solution.
There had been times before when she had wondered about this and attempted to alter her appearance, but it hadn’t worked well. However, the situation now was different.
Although she couldn’t fundamentally change her basic shape, she thought it might be possible to adjust it, recalling how her figure had changed—albeit excessively—during the last absorption of a jelly army.
She couldn’t alter the ‘femaleness’ that seemed to be an absolute constant parameter, but perhaps she could modify her proportions like tweaking character sliders.
With this thought in mind, the Jelly Girl focused her mind. Then she summoned several nearby jelly beings into the room. While summoning Kim Cheon-soo was hard, calling the jelly beings was incredibly easy.
“Hmm?”
When the jelly beings arrived in response to the Jelly Girl’s call, Hwang Bo-yul tilted her head in curiosity.
The others also wore looks of confusion at the sudden appearance of a line of jellies. Even the jelly beings themselves seemed startled—no, thinking they had come for chocolate, they hurried to guard their own.
The Jelly Girl, however, stood amidst this chaos with a triumphant expression, as if she had just thought of a wonderful idea.
After gauging the number of jellies that had approached, the Jelly Girl decided that this was more than enough and began to absorb the jelly beings into her body.
“Hmm?”
“Uh?”
As various question marks arose, the Jelly Girl’s body began to grow slightly. Or, rather, “growth” wasn’t exactly the right word.
It was true that her form was expanding as planned—unlike the first time she had turned into a giant, the Jelly Girl’s control was now precise. Her limbs were lengthening and her overall shape was transitioning from that of a girl to a more mature woman.
However… with her face remaining unchanged, the balance seemed quite off. Even an age-defying look has its limits. Plus, it almost seemed like there was some hidden ambition at play—her body was becoming so curvaceous, it could only be described as voluptuous.
The intrigued Han Seori and Yang Ha-na let out an involuntary “Oooh” when they saw Kim Cheon-soo’s reaction.
“First, step out for a moment,” Han Seori said.
“Yeah, that’s right!” Yang Ha-na chimed in.
“Uh…” Kim Cheon-soo, equally bewildered, hesitantly left the room. Watching this drama unfold, Hwang Bo-yul thought their mental contamination was serious, yet she still watched the changing Jelly Girl with great interest.
In no time, the Jelly Girl transformed into a figure that someone might describe as “hell in human form” — at least regarding everything except her face. Her body had a shapely allure that was impossible to ignore, but her face, complete with its antennas, remained that of a young girl.
Upon noticing her enlarged form, the Jelly Girl stirred her jelly happily and pointed a newly elongated finger at Hwang Bo-yul.
“Hmm? Me…?”
Surprised by the sudden gesture, Hwang Bo-yul blinked. In an odd but direct manner, the Jelly Girl approached and fiddled with her clothes, clearly asking for similar attire—a timid request considering her altered body.
While the Jelly Girl genuinely believed it was a good idea, the others didn’t seem to agree.
“My, my jellies!”
“Hmm… Does she want the same outfit as us? Interesting, but it’s a bit…”
“It’s like that, huh.”
However, believing her message had been conveyed, the Jelly Girl grinned and stirred her jelly.
Noticing the jellies at her feet, she kindly scooped them up into her arms.
She was delighted that three could fit snugly.
Feeling happy, the Jelly Girl approached the mirror.
But suddenly, she dropped the jellies in shock. Staring at the mirror seriously, the Jelly Girl seemed to make a decision. Stirring her jelly, she released the excess jelly from her body and returned to her original, smaller form.
At the sight of the small Jelly Girl, Yang Ha-na cheered and hugged her.
“You… you’ve come back. It really… was terrifying. If you wanted to wear the same clothes as us… you could have just said… oh, right, you can’t speak?”
The Jelly Girl, gazing at the tearful Yang Ha-na, wore an indescribably complex expression.
Though her message was clearly and shockingly delivered, she considered it effective.
While being completely unclothed would have been ideal.
Still.
With the minor commotion involving chocolate, everything calmed down.
The Jelly Girl and the unnamed laboratory welcomed new members.
